  Color grading is already done by Windows on laptops, but if you want to calibrate, and then follow the steps

  1. Click Start
  2. Search "Control Panel."
  3. Click on appearance and personalization
  4. Click on display
  5. In the left column, click the calibrate color option
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions

  Sorry to hear about the problems with Windows 8.1. Did you create a restore point in Windows 8 before you upgrade to 8.1? It should create on its own, but if you have another one you could try it. Is that what you were referring to when you mentioned the update utility?

  According to Microsoft if there is an error then you will need the original CD or recovery CD. I saw your other post where you asked on the CD, so I'll assume that you do not have a recovery CD. This is the contact page for the India call them and they should be able to get you set up with the recovery CD.

  Check if the same works in different USB Ports, in Device Manager if there are any unknown devices or try to uninstal and reinstall USB Root hub, that should help you. Let know if you have the same problem. You can also check with all other USB devices if works.

  Open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select Properties.  Click the driver tab and then click on "update driver".  Select "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.  "High definition Audio Device" left click once to highlight, then click the next button to install it.
