HP Pavilion 17 - f231nr: unknown device ACPI\VEN_SMB &; DEV_0001
I recently had to reinstall windows on my laptop once the hard drive crashed 1 month warranty. I had a few unknown devices on the PCI Express Root and I could find the fix for 2 of them through these forums simply by searching for the value of material or the value of path for device instance id.
However, I still have to be able to find the right driver for the following unknown device:
Details of the hardware Id:
ACPI\VEN_SMB & DEV_0001
ACPI\SMB0001
* SMB0001
Information on track device instance:
ACPI\SMB0001\3 & 11583659 & 0
Thank you for your help.

You must install the driver for the touchpad synaptics for this device...
This package provides the driver that allows the Synaptics TouchPad in the notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The pilot turns the touchpad General (for example, double-click and scroll) feature and provides a user interface.

Unknown device ACPI/HPQ0004
Hello
I installed the 64 bit, win 7 on my dv8-1190ef, but there is an unknown device (ACPI/HPQ0004).
Please help me solve this problem!
That's the guard HP 3D drive.
This is a slightly different model of dv8, but it will work. I guess HP forgot a list for your specific model number. I couldn't find FRO your support in any case page.
And here's a more recent version
I found this one for a HP Envy, but as mentioned, it will work fine for a dv8, or any other laptop with burner HP hardware 3D of the guard.

Unknown device ACPI\TOS1900 on Satellite A105-S2091
Hello
I just finished a * CLEAN * Vista install on my Satellite A105-S2091.
Installation was smooth and clean. After installation of all recommendations * DRIVERS * (I chose not to install * ANY * Toshiba utility).
I was left with two unknown devices in Device Manager. One was ACPI\TOS1901.
After searching the forums, I found a thread that indicated that the installation of the supervisor of the Toshiba password utility, would be fixed
This device, which it did.I stayed with unknown device ACPI\TOS1900. A search here havenot been useful forums.
I have + really + do not want to install the Toshiba utilities that are not absolutely necessary.Anyone know what drivers need to be installed to fix the unknown device, ACPI\TOS1900?
Thank you!

Hello
I'm looking for a driver for the unknown device ACPI\HPQ6007 on HP ENVY 15 - j150sr for Windows 8.1 64-bit if I need. I upgraded my laptop - replacement SSD HARD drive. I have found information, ACPI\HPQ6007 is associated with HP 3D DriveGuard, which protects the hard drive by parking the heads. But I SSDS, no HARD drive - what's that on your head?)) I tried to install HP 3D DriveGuard for my laptop model and operating system. It did not help, the unknown device remained ACPI\HPQ6007. I don't know what to do about this.
