HP Pavilion 2221ss g6: RAM upgrade 4 GB to 8 GB memory

Hello world

I was looking for an upgrade of RAM to my HP pavilion g6 4 GB to 8 GB, but I do not know which RAM should I buy to both be compatible with these 4 GB is already and to be compatible with my system.

I have some experience with upgrades to the computer, but not with laptops, so I would like some advice or a Web page where I could find a 4 GB of RAM module.

If possible I would like to add 4 GB on my laptop rather than purchase 2x4gb in order for the RAM sticks than the already existing 4 GB would be lost.

Thank you very much, for more information just ask,

Vidi.

See page 47 of the HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide for instructions on upgrading the memory.

You will need;

4 GB (PC3 12800, 1600 MHz) HP 641369-001 manufacturer or the equivalent.

NOTE: To use a configuration of double-channel with a second memory module, make sure that the two memory

the modules are identical. This means that you will need to use two identical bars for the best performance.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hello:

The memory that you install must have 8 chips of black memory of each side of the PCB, not 4.

    PC3-8500 or PC3-10600

I live in the middle of the United States, so I wouldn't be able to tell you where to buy compatible memory in CZ.

But what you get looks like this...

What is the capacity of ram upgrade use for a Pavilion g7-1083nr?  Currently I have 4 GB but I want MORE!

You are the very welcome, John.

No, maximum size chip, you can put in each slot is only 4 GB.

What I mean by the 8 black chips instead of 4 bit is noted in the images below.

    8 tokens: recommended.

4 chips: not recommended.  May not be enough low density.

The Intel Mobile chipset with the processor that your model can run at 1066 MHz.

Thus, memory at 1333 MHz will be downclock at 1066 Mhz speed to match how fast the processor can run.

  • HP Pavilion 500-242ea: Ram upgrade

    Hi I have a desktop computer Pavilion 500 - 242ea 64-bit with 6 GB of ram installed 1 x 2 gb Hynix/Hyundai 1600 mhz and 1 x 4 gb Samsung 1600 mhz.

I would like to increase my ram by an additional 8 GB with a 2 x 4 GB - 1600 mhz cards in empty slots, all first is it possible and secondly what do you sugest?

My motherboard has four 240-pin ddr dimm sockets plug say this upgrade may be: -.

    PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333) or

    PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600) or

    PC3-14400 (DDR3-1866),

    32 GB unbuffered memory total

I look forward to your response.

You can add memory for each vacant home.   I would add two DDR3 2048 MB PC3-12800 (800 mhz) to this system.  But if you wanted to add two 4096 modules, I see no problem.

  • HP Pavilion n013-tx: RAM upgrade

    Hello!

I plan on upgrading my laptop with 8 GB RAM (currently have 4). The question then is, CPU - Z says I have 4 GB single channel DDR3 (1600 MHz) RAM, so what 'type' of 4 GB of RAM should I add? This who should I look for? I was warned several times that add the wrong type of RAM to my laptop will give disastrous results and it makes me a little more careful about what I should do. In addition, adding RAM will be no the warranty? Because I got still more than 2 years additional warranty from the store I bought to. I really need the extra GB of RAM that I intend to play games on it to which 4 GB just not sufficient.

    Yes,

Not the one you provided the link to. The modules in the link I provided are guaranteed compaible bars of memory. If you want to switch to 8 GB, and then use a single module of 8GB or 4 GB two identical modules. Remove the module of memory initially installed,

Do not mix the new modules with the initially installed memory module.

The laptop probably will boot up if you do and the first thing that crucial will ask is if mix you the memory modules.

    Hi Jayendrapatel,

It is true that a 32 bit OS has a limitation of 4 GB. Limits of memory for Windows and Windows Server. (from msdn.microsoft.com)

I see that you upgraded to Windows 8 pro 32-bit.  If you do not format the recovery partition you may still be able to access and make a recovery to factory. Performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

During the recovery process, you will receive an option to backup your personal files to avoid data loss. If you have not already done one, I suggest you do one now.
