HP Pavilion 23 touch screen all in one

After I upgraded to Windows mytouchscreen does not work, when I look for the stylus and touch it says that I don't have, I tried to download

Hello new @YOLIE80S,

At this point, I would say we have all the drivers for your computer on Windows 8.1. I would like to have you go to the drivers page from PC Desktop HP Pavilion TouchSmart 23 - f217c all-in-one and start with the Chipset drivers. Once they are installed you should re - install ALL drivers for your computer.

If the above does not work, we will have to back up, recover your computer to factory settings, run ALL the HP and Windows updates and try again Windows 8.1 update. To save your personal information and ensure it is not lost, I would like you to look at and follow the steps in the HP Support document: backup of files (Windows 8), who will be your personal files are up to date.

CAVEAT! If you want to keep the e-mails or bookmarks/favorites that you want to save them as I do not think they are saved in the backup HP process.

Then, I would like to see again you and follow the steps in the HP Support document: performing a recovery of HP (Windows 8) system, which will allow you through to get your computer back to factory settings.

IMPORTANT - your staff of files such as libraries, personalization settings, user accounts and desktop themes are permanently deleted. The settings on the computer are returned for values by default (as it was when it came from the factory). All applications and software installed on the computer when it came from the factory are relocated, and their settings are reset to the default values. In addition, software, applications, programs, and everything you have installed or saved on the computer are deleted permanently.

Once you have recovered your computer, don't forget to run ALL the updates from HP and then run ALL Windows 8 updates. Finally, run the 8.1 Windows Update, and then install all the drivers on page all-in-one HP Pavilion TouchSmart 23 - f217c drivers PC Desktop that I linked at the beginning of this post

If ultimately it does not work the Pen look and Touch of your computer is perhaps not currently compatible with Windows 8.1 and you may have to wait to see if new drivers are validated. I want to thank you for display on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Upgrade memory for HP Pavilion 23 - g040xt CTO all-in-One desktop

    When I ordered my

HP Pavilion 23-g040xt CTO of all-in-One desktop PC I could only afford the version of 4 GB of Ram. Now, I want to upgrade the memory up to 16 GB. I have a few questions

    1. I noticed all this in a use SODIMM and I was wondering if I could buy any DDR3 SODIMM for this or if I have to buy a specific manufacturer?

    2. now, I have only 4 GB using 1 of the 2 memory slots. I'll be able to buy 2X8GB and use this location empty on my motherboard and run dual channel?

    3. How do the memory locations? Just pop the back of all in one PC?

    Thank you

According to the specification, this model supports up to 16 GB (2 x 8 GB), as follows:

    Dual channel memory architecture
Two DDR3 SODIMM Sockets (204 PIN)
    Supports the PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600)
    Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB DDR3 SODIMM

Any brand or model of RAM memory that meets the following specifications should work on your computer. If you have 4 GB in a housing, you will need to remove it to install both 8 GB DIMMs. Yes, you just need to pop on the back.

There should be two or more screws on the back that need to be turned counterclockwise until you hear each "click" of 5-6 times. Then, take a lower corner and lift the corner. Repeat with the other bottom corner. Now, lift the... starting back down. You may also need to remove a cap on the memory locations to access.

  • Computer screen all-in-one HP flicker

I bought this computer a few days ago and have had no problems so far. Bottom of the screen was flicker non-stop, what can I do about it? What is a pilot error or a hardware error?

It could be that some circuit display driver that decodes the axis y of display area has suddenly "decided" to malfunction and this is the cause of flickering of the screen you are currently having with your computer.

It is a known problem with LCD panels, and it is very likely that the faulty circuit is located on the display panel itself, rather than the graphics card.

Panel display most circuits require three or four chips of specific purpose on each axis of abscissa and the value axis to decode the graphic lines and columns. When the malfunction of one of the chips, then the screen output corresponding to the part of the screen begins to blink.

Flickering of the screen does happen when the computer is i) active initialization sequence, ii) the windows splash screen 7, iii) desktop environment? If the answer is 'Yes' to all these then the problem is more than likely local to display hardware.

You can always see Changing colo/u/r - color sorry if you prefer - under flickering area? Yet once, this seems to indicate that the panels line driver is defective. It is rare to see half the screen go at once. That may mean that more than one chip has malfunctioned.

What can you do about it?
    (1) if the computer supports an interface to an external monitor (HDMI, DVI or VGA), then you can use a TV or other display for you to connect to your PC. If the blinking stops then you will know that the original sin was caused somewhere in the LCD screen of the computer. Only the manufacturing could maintain or repair such a fault, then you would be well advised to contact their web site and find if there is a service close to home center and check that you have left any guarantee.

Okay now? I hope this helps to answer your question...

  • All-in-One PC 20-E014: my 20-E014 screen All - In - One PC has failed. Can I run the video output via a USB to a smart TV USB connection?

Can I use a smart TV for a monitor by coming through a USB?  I have to set up an external monitor via the PC (which has a broken screen)?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Others may be different, but my guess is no.

I use an external monitor connected via USB - but I had to install drivers so Windows to see and to do that, I had to have a working screen.

Screen, I don't know of any way that you can install the necessary drivers.

Also, don't really allows an external display as a replacement for the screen of the laptop because it does not start work until Windows is already loaded, and it is after that you have to connect.

    Hello @KayLeeM,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I came across your post about the brightness of the display and wanted to help!

Try searching for the Device Manager in the Start Menu.  Then expand the monitors section and see if you have an option for Generic PnP monitor.  If so, do a right-click on him and generic PnP monitor enable, if not already.  Now, check to see if you can adjust the brightness.  If you're still having problems, then try to see the following resource and let me know how it goes:

  • HP Pavilion 23-q055na: connect a second monitor to an HP Pavilion 23-q055na all-in-one

    Hello

I just bought a new HP Pavilion 23-q055na printer all in one and wonder if it is possible to connect a second monitor. It has an HDMI output, but my second monitor had a DVI connection (DVI - D single link).

It doesn't seem to be DVI to HDMI converters for sale online, but I don't want to lose my money if it's not going to work.

Anyone has any advice on the best way to connect a second monitor to this PC?

    Thank you

    Ali

    Hi there @Haikugirl

The best choice for you would be a screen that supports a HDMI input you don't need to work with an adapter, at all.  However, there are adapters on the market due to the fact that many adapters are often necessary, and I used the flavors varied in many different situations with great success. In general, I would do some research on the specific device and the brand and are looking for comments before you plan to buy an adapter.

It can never be guaranteed that any device will work in all cases, but if you find a device from a renowned manufacturer, then chances are strongly in your favor.

I would like to begin by ensuring that the DVI input on the monitor works well, before considering an adapter. If it is intermittent in some way, then it is probably not your best choice.

Just my two cents. I hope it helps.

Cannot pair my RocketFish for PC speaker... all tried, device not recognized... one thing remains to check is if my computer has a switch to turn on the Bluetooth / wireless... I can't find anything that looks like a switch, so I think that the problem lies elsewhere!

I also have a printer connected wireless to PC, so I don't understand why I can't pair the speaker to PC... what else I'm not right?

PC is only a foot of speaker

speaker works fine when connected with cable

My network card is a Qualcomm-Atheros AR 9485 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter

    Hello:

The Qualcomm Atheros AR 9485 802.11b/g/n WiFi to adjust your PC's is not a combination wifi/bluetooth network adapter.

Your PC has not built in bluetooth network.

The product also confirm this.   If your PC came with built-in bluetooth, this feature would have been placed on the networking features section.
