HP Pavilion a1220n Desktop PC fan (FANIN1) making the noise

my desktop HP Pavilion a1220n (FANIN1) exhaust fan making a noise.  start-up noise, RPM fan drops of about 960 (no noise) to 750 (noise).  I guess that the fan will stop at some point soon.

Anyone know the name / plug for this fan, so I can buy a replacement?

I opened the folder and the fan noise starts, I hit the fan and the noise goes away for a few minutes and then go back.  not the best solution.  If the fan stops, and since it is the exhaust fan, can I keep running my PC with the box to open?  Is the fan at the bottom of the case, not the cooling fan in the CPU.  I guess when the case is open, I get a lot of air so that when the fan stops completely, I can always run the PC.

Sorry for hiking...

ihorhp,

The stock rear exhaust fan is a 92mm fan. Part of HP # is 5187-5223. See here

  • HP Pavilion a6600f desktop PC communicates only with the monitor

Our bureau a6600f HP Pavilion PC (with OS 64 - bit Windows Vista) has stopped communicating with his monitor.

The start process seems to work for 7-8 seconds before stopping.  We can hear the fans and CD unit turn during this period.  There is no warning beeps.

We went from monitors to exclude a monitor problem. Both have two monitors, that we have given to the case put off until the boot process - which may indicate no comments received.

We tried to reset the BIOS blindly in accordance with the instructions provided for elsewhere in this forum.  We also tried to boot from a CD without success.  Please notify.

Once the boot sequence was not even initializing, I realized, I discovered the solution.  A simple search online for 'black screen' and 'no boot' leads to results multiple problems related to the integrated NVIDIA gpu chip.

The chip is apparently subject to overheating to the point where its connective solder may melt and break its link with the motherboard.  This issue mainly comes in laptops because of the sealed enclosure, but it has been reported also occur in models of office such as ours.

This broken link results in a black screen and an inability to boot into the BIOS.  Several of these instances have been diagnosed wrongly that the motherboards 'failed '.  Fortunately, there's a fix called "reinvest."   It comes down to warm up the chip gpu to the point where his welding redéroule reconnect the loose pins.

Some repair shops are fully aware of this problem and offer to repair it for about $80 at present.  Some DIY Laptop owners have also posted videos online in order to document how they have reorganized their own chips using a variety of means.

I decided to take the road of this last, warm our chip NVIDIA gpu with a heat gun using a heat shield to protect surrounding components of the motherboard.  My attempt to reflow works perfectly, so I handed in thermal sinks the gpu with some thermal paste expenses place to finish the job.

To summarize the question, our desktop HP Pavilion a6600f PC lost communication with his chip gpu NVIDIA Geforce 7100 integrated due to the chip overheat and melt its connective solder.  This broken link compromised the ability of the motherboard to initialize its startup sequence, which gives no output to the screen, resulting in a screen empty.  A new graphics card does not resolve the issue, given that the motherboard was inoperative because of the connective issue with the gpu chip built-in.  Reinvest the gpu chip has solved the problem.

    Hello

Disconnect all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse.  Don't forget that the CD drive is empty.

Try to clear the CMOS memory.

Looks like your PC is trying to boot from LAN.  If this is the case then to clear the CMOS will change all the parameters of the bios to the default values.

  • ZTE open speaker will not be making the noise

I just got my ZTE open mail today, everything worked very well until the sound no longer works. I have reset my phone several times and tried to adjust the parameters, but the President has stopped working. I can very well answering calls. But the phone does not ring when I get a call or a text message. Which is wrong with my phone? If it's a hardware problem, how can I get that resolved?

Strangest thing happened. The sound began to work again. Completely out of the blue. Nothing I did seemed to work before but when I plug in my headphones and taken again the music started playing through the speakers.

This makes me believe there was some kind of issue with the phone "thinking" there were headphones plugged in. But I had done that countless other times without the same effect. I also reset the phone a number of times without it working.

This is speculation on my part, but nevertheless it makes me think that it was not a hardware problem. Or it could have been something wrong with the headphone jack. Still, it's done now.

  • Pavilion A6123IN desktop - missing Windows Serial Key

    Dear Sir.

We have been in HP computers desktop and laptops in our office.

We have a HP Pavilion A6123IN desktop computer that shipped with the version of Windows Vista Edition family of base.

His hard drive broke down, and we found that the Microsoft Windows Genuine label on the side panel is worn.

The recovery CD is also not available. But we have Windows Vista Home Basic Setup with us.

All what we want HP to help us retriving the serial key to activate the Windows Vista Home Basic.

Is it possible to recover the Windows key, if we provide you with the serial number of HP Office?

We hope to receive a positive response from HP in order to encourage us using the latest HP products.

    DFCCIL Vadodara

This PC was introduced on the market in 2007. It is not a surprise that the label is worn.

Try to use the magical Jellybean utility.  If this does not help, then you will need to find a way to buy a license key, since you said that you do not have the defined recovery disk. The serial number does not help to retrieve the activation key for Windows Vista allowed.

  • Graphics card for HP Pavilion p6110y desktop PC

I recently installed Photoshop on my HP Pavilion p6110y desktop PC and I get the following 2 error messages:

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled the improvements using graphics hardware.  See the Web site of the manufacturer for the latest version of the software.

    and...

The 3D features require a minimum of 512 MB of vRAM. Photoshop has detected less than on your system.  Update your graphics card driver may solve the problem.

To check, I discovered that the computer has the Intel (R) with total GMA3100 available memory 256 MB, so I presume that is the problem.  My question is what graphics card is compatible with this system, and I should also adapt the food if I understand that may be required when changing the graphics cards?

    Dave

    Dave, welcome to the forum.

Yes, you are right that the video memory is not enough.  I suggest to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU) at least 500W.  This will allow a better video card and future updates.  I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.

Now for the video card.  I like XFX cards.  Here is a card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150642

If you decide on his card you would probably at least 600W.

  • Noisy fan (HP Pavilion A1629UK1 Desktop)

I have a HP Pavilion A1629UK1 desktop computer. When I load windows the cpu is quiet until I open programs, then the (loud) fan turns on and does not turn off. Suggestions for me what to do - should I replace the fan and what should replace it with, and how do I do? Thank you Maxence.

Open the computer case and clean any dust that could build up inside the case and the heatsink / fan assembled. Please post here again, if this help does not solve your problem.

  • HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 CTO: fan making loud noise, need of replacement but can't find it

So my laptop fan started to make really loud this rattle sound. Makes me very self-consciousness of me when I'm in public, so I just Don ' t bother bringing them along. But I really need my laptop with me. The noise usually comes out randomly.

I tried the HP part Store selector and in the fan section it lists just the fan button, which is not what I need. I think I need to completely replace the fan at this point (I tried to fix the problem of cleaning the fan out of the dust to check it for possible damage, but can not find what is the problem).

If anyone knows where I can find a spare for my laptop fan and I have to buy with all heat sink heat and thermal paste? I'm pretty experience in the repair of the computer so I have confidence that I can do, more my warranty expired in 2014, so I don't be invalidated anyway.

If it helps any, the product is of # A3E83AV.

The noise is usually caused by a defect in the fan motor bearing.

You were on behalf of the incorrect item.

What you need is the discreet thermal module, which contains the fan a heat for the CPU and video sink.

The part number for the product number of your laptop is 682061-001. It's on the document next to the web HP PartSurfer.

  • Stock HP Pavilion p6-2260ea case fan

What is the airflow on the fan housing stock for the hp pavilion pa-2260ea desktop pc? The fan is a Foxconn PVA092G12M I can't find any information on in anywhere.

It's really easy to find. The rear fan is called the system fan and it's part # is 646679-001. It can be a Foxconn PVA092G12M (92 x 92 x 25 mm) with specifications DC12 v 0. 24 amp, 45 CFM and 3 PINS.

Now for the crazy and complex. Only where no one knows the number of TURNS on this fan. You'll see ratings 900-2800, 1400 - 4000 RPM.

The best that I can recommend is that you actually use this program, CPUID HWMonitor find your fan rpm. FANIN1 is the rear fan. Low rpm fan will trigger the alarm of anomalies. You must run the program and then point out the system to turn the fan at a higher speed.

  • Pavilion 500-160ev: CPU fan control

Hello.im trying to figure out how to increase the number of turns of my cpu (pwm) fan in my Desktop hp Pavilion 500-160ev. I tried to do it in the BIOS, but there is no such option. Also I updated my BIOS but I can't find anywhere where to change the fan speed, the option is obviously locked. Third-party program does not work as SpeedFan.I have almost tried everything. Any ideas?

    40 c seems quite acceptable.

The Noctua NH - D9L has a maximum speed of 2000 rpm, minimum speed of 400 rpm

If it is open to only 800 RPM it shows me that your system runs pretty cool.

You can install the free programReal Temp, it will show your CPU current temp as well as distance max temp and "the thermal State.

You can run a CPU Stress Test program to test your fan. As the program your CPU at 100%, you should see the ramp speed of the fan to the top.

  • Don't Pegatron IPMTB-TK that comes with HP Pavilion e9280t Desktop support i7 4th generation?

I have a HP Pavilion e9280t Desktop provided with the motherboard pre-installed Pegatron IPMTB-TK and intel CPU 920. Is it possible to replace the CPU with the latest genaration 4th i7 without replacing the motherboard.

    See you soon

    Fassi Fihri

    Hi Nafey,

The plate of I/O at the back of the Cabinet seems to be a standard size to one that is supplied with motherboards recent.  A draw real return using this box is 88 mm rear fan and also the size of the fan in the PSU is also low.  If your PC has the function of IR blaster, then you will need to find a place to install this device.  You might miss on eSATA, optical output and support 1394 with a new motherboard.  Most motherboards the third most recent use a header card mother ATX 8-pin and the power supply in the e9280t has a 4 pin ATX connector.  Routing of the wiring inside the wardrobe HP is extremely tight, even if you go with a new PSU with modular connections.

I had success, get the drive to boot on two different PCs without having to reinstall the operating system. In some cases, I had to go through a process of activating phone Ms.  You may or may not be happy.

So, now you have to think.

  • Very high speed of the HP Pavilion HPE h8-1120une fan

    Hello!

I got a desktop computer HP Pavilion HPE h8-1120une for about 2 months now and he was executed brilliantly (Windows 7 64-bit).  This morning when I turned on, the computer was much stronger than usual.  Installed the latest BIOS and F10 had started to see that the speed of the CPU fan 4500 rpm and the system fan speed 2500 RPM.  This seems quite high.

The noise is obviously a bit annoying! Any ideas how to solve this problem would be much appreciated!

    Cheers, Davo

    Hello

    First try this procedure .

Use a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the heatsink from the CPU, although with a cold PC it might not solve the problem.

Try to clear the CMOS memory.

You might consider trying the B key over the Windows key, and then press the power button.  This could the bios image backup pickup if it is stored on the PC.

Contact HP support and ask the ROM/BIOS recovery procedure. Recent HP PC will store a backup of previous BIOS level.  HP support number is 800-474-6836 or 800-HPINVENT or online here.

    Hello

A video card decent for the games will require a bigger power supply in your PC.  Go with a level of high level video wouldn't do justice to your PC based on its current level of performance of the components.

TheCorsair CX 500is on sale for $45 after rebate.

This GTX 460 768 MBis on sale for $95 after rebate.  This GTX 550 TI 1 GB$129 after rebate.  The adjacent slot on the slot PCI-E x 16 in your PC must be vacant.  Review thePresentation of the motherboardof your PC.  Are both video cards NVIDIA 8.25 "long so do some measurement inside your PC to be sure that the video card will fit.

Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.
