I have a PC entertainment DV7 Dv7 (2273cl). Recently, I had to change the motherboard and learned how to make so that I might also be able to upgrade the processor. Looking in the maintenance manual, authorized processors include a CPU that I bought on Ebay (Q9100). The Q9100 both my original T6600 CPU are all two registered in the maintenance manual, so I think the Q9100 would work in my computer.
I installed the new processor and it fit perfectly. But once I had everything back together, the computer would start up, but I would get blink codes by the capslock and above the number pad of a single wink separated by 3 seconds, which, looking around, seems to be that the CPU does not code.
So is there a way to get this CPU to work? It's a quad core vs a dual core. Do I need to Flash the bios to a higher version prior to make it work? Startup will not go far enough to bring me to any type of screen or anything that would allow me to get this working.
Of course, I'd like to upgrade one dual core to a quad core.
Any help would be most appreciated. When I went back to my old processor, I couldn't start the computer and had to take it apart and put it all together again to make it work, so I don't want to tinker around too much in the computer, I do not have a route safe to go ahead with.
Thank you
Jon Fernandez
In addition, I have discovered how to find my current BIOS version which is the following:
F.46 25/08/2011
Thank you
If this is the case I would avoid upgrading CPU completely... too much chance of bricking it.

Pavilion DV8000 upgrade CPU, RAM, HD &; OS
Hello world
I have a HP Pavilion Dv8000 (Dv8336ea is the exact model number). I intend to upgrade the processor, RAM, hard drive and OS and have a few questions about the limits of upgrade on this computer.
He is currently running XP pro, but I intend to upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 64-bit, if I can find an upgrade of the CPU 64 bit appropriate.
The vehicle currently has an Intel centrino Duo CPU T2300, but I'm not sure which processors are compatible. y at - it an easy way to identify compatibility? I know that it can be removed, but what would be an upgrade recommended for optimal performance?
Is there a limit to the size of the hard drive, can I install it? He had a hard duel disks. Is there a problem with the installation of a hard drive 7200 RPM? It's the BIOS that limits the size of the hard drive that can be installed?
Finally, what would be the limit for RAM after CPU and operating system upgraded. What defines the limits of the RAM in a computer?
Help with any or all of these Q greatly appreciated!
Hello:
The GeForce Go 7600 is a graphic adapter Windows 7 and should be able to run all the pleasure of the eyes in Windows 7 and have the same resolution that you had in XP.
Try the latest nVidia driver released for it.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_win7_64bit_179.48_beta.html
I see that you have a wide screen monitor... According to the resolution of your screen, with the appropriate driver, he should be able to get 1440 x 900. That should give you the view you've been waiting for.
3 GB of memory can be used with a 4 GB max RAM capacity is perfectly normal, even with a 64 bit OS. You need the chipset Intel 965 for the 64-bit OS in order to 'see' all 4 GB of memory. You have the 945 chipset.

Pavilion dv9550eo: Upgrade CPU T7300 in dv9550eo since 2007
I'm still in love with my old HP Pavilion dv9550eo since 2007. It is being upgraded with Windows 7 x 64, SSD and a new GPU-fan. Still going for my use
I see in the owner's manual that adapted T7700 2.4 GHz my computer. But it's not a difference of speed of my T7300 2.0 GHz. Y hugh there any CPU better suited to my computer?
It is now my CPU: processor Intel Core Duo T7300 (2.0 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB).
Is it possible to put in a new SSD and put up in RAID? Or is it the other components that is the bottleneck here?
Hello:
If you have the version of the BIOS F.45 or more recent version installed, you can install one of these processors as together on the release notes for v F.45:

HP pavilion 6210y: upgrade CPU comparison?
This is my current motherboard
You need your memory problem. See the response I posted on your other thread.
You won't even have a CPU upgrade. Run Windows resource monitor in the background and then start the game for about 5 minutes. Now, put yourself in the resource monitor and click the CPU tab and look at the history. How many processors are used and what percentage microcopies (busy) for each processor?

HP Pavilion dv6-3310ej: Upgrade CPU

I want to improve my processor.
Current specification: Laptop model: HP Pavilion dv6-3310ej CPU: type of processor - Intel Core i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz BIOS version: F.29 OS: Windows 7 professional 64 bit manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
With the processor on which I can replace my current processor?
Here is the Service Manual:
There are several faster processors (i7) listed, but you can't use them because of the motherboard. There is a different motherboard for dual processors and quad core and you already have the fastest dual core that is compatible, so you're at the top of the curve without upgrade potential.

Question: Can this motherboard take the A6-6310 or whatever be upgraded CPU? And if so - how I make it? Do I need a specialist to do this (IE more than shooting on a chip, flip a jumper etc.)?

Upgrade CPU on Satellite Pro C660-219
Hello.
I wonder just to upgrade CPU on my laptop to get some perfomance.
I did the upgrade of RAM to 8 gb and 64 bit Win7.
Now, it's processor i3 - 370 M (3 m cache, 2.40 GHz).I'm sure I can go to i3 - 390 M (3 m Cache, 2.66 GHz) processor, but it will be useless IMO.
It has same Cache and just a little bit faster CPU count:

Tomasz Kowalski> I need someone to answer the question: can I ride this laptop an i5 or i7 without problem with compatibility with the motherboard?
You should know that upgrades of processors are not supported by any laptop manufacturer. This means that no one can tell if a CPU would be fully compatible and cause no worries. These upgrades are own risk. You could read this statement from Toshiba about upgrades.
[Is it possible to upgrade the CPU or GPU of a Toshiba laptop computer? | http://APS2.Toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm]The point is that even the chipset which is part of the motherboard would support the new processor, BIOS would not fully compatible and the combination of BIOS and the new processor may cause new troubles.
The camera seems to supports the INTEL HM55 chipset and to my knowledge, the Toshiba Satellite C660/C665/Pro C660 series is based on a Dual Core/Quad Core Processor (* Intel Arrandale processors *)
So if you want to find a compatible CPU, you should check the processors owned by the family of processors Intel Arrandale.

No, the graphics card can not be upgraded
What you can do, it is memory and the upgrade of the HARD drive. This should be very easy and should cause no serious problems.
Upgrading CPU is little tricky.

Qosmio X 770-116 - can I upgrade CPU i7
Hi all
I currently have a Qosmio X 770 - 116 Core i5-2410qm / 8 GB 500 GB 17.3 - tft Dvd Win 7 Azb
Can I upgrade the processor to a core i7?
If so, what is the name of the i7 processor?Thank you
Jos Sallets, Belgium
This Forum on NECK, we discussed several times the upgrade. For best performance, a lot of people want to upgrade CPU. Update CPU is not supported, and in particular cooling system, each laptop model is designed to work with certain hardware platform.
In general the Qosmio laptops have the best material with excellent performance, so I put t know why you think the CPU upgrade. In my opinion, you should spend RAM and HARD drive. It is supported and can be done by the owner of the laptop without losing the warranty valid.
Maximum RAM HDD Upgrade and upgrade with SSD and you will see the difference. You will be surprised with the speed of your laptop is.
I ve do on my laptop. It works perfectly now. Think about all of this.

Upgrade CPU on Satellite P100-434
Satellite P100-434 BIOS v 4.80 does support the Core2Duo T7500 Intel proccessor?
I'm currently have T5500 and want to update to T7500, is the same thing but I don't know the motherboard/BIOS card can support this CPU?
I advance thank you
For CPU upgrade, there are several different important things and not the BIOS only.
Check it please this Toshiba document initially - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm
BTW: I m not sure but I think you can find similar topics related to upgrade CPU on P100. Use the advanced search in this forum. Maybe you'll find some interesting discussions.

Satellite A300-1ED - upgrade CPU of PDC to C2D
Hi all
Small question. I still have six months toshiba warranty on my A300-1ED. laptop is very good. Never fail. But it lacks performance so I want to upgrade my PDC T2390 to some C2D processor.
Tell me what model of C2D my A300-1ED runs (card mother and bios)? T7500? T5750? Frequency FSB? 667 or 800?Someone at - he do it before?
Thanks for all the tips!
Hello
First of all, you will lose the warranty if you would disassemble the laptop!
This should be clear to you. Then there is no guarantee that your laptop would go well and stable after this upgrade the CPU.
I m thinking about issues of compatibility between the processor and BIOS since the BIOS was pretested with the other processors. However, I have read some threads here on the CPU upgrade and some users do that
Seems that some laptops run without any big problems after upgrade CPU, but I think it's not consistent for all seriesPerhaps this topic could be useful:

Upgrade CPU on Satellite C70 - A - 16 L
Hello, first of all I apologize for my bad English hahaha.
I have a Satellite C70 - A - 16 L with pemtium processor I want to change it to an i3, i5 or a i7, is it possible?
Thank you
Upgrade CPU on laptops is not supported. This means that no one will be able to tell if the new CPU would work and if the laptop would be stable after this upgrade.
Primarily this unit seems to be new. In this case, the warranty is still valid. If you disassemble the notebook in order to remove the CPU, you will void the warranty.
I put t think it's worth a try.PS: even if you want to put a new processor, the performance gain is not noticeable. In my opinion better upgrade would be the use of SOLID-STATE drive instead of the HARD disk

Upgrade CPU on Satellite L350-14Y
Hell,
I'm french so my enclise is approximate.
I have to computer laptop satellite L350-14Y
Intel cèleront 560. I would like to apgrade processor with a dual core (T2340). Is this possible?
Can wich processor I upgrade my laptop please?Thank you very much
In General, the CPU upgrade is not supported - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm
Problem is that Toshiba offers no information on compatible processors that can be used on this laptop. Supported upgrade is RAM and HARD drive.
This Satellite is old enough laptop model that can be used for everyday operations, so I see no reason to upgrade CPU. What do you need more performance?
In my opinion, you can increase the Ram to the maximum level and exchange the original HDD with SSD faster.
This will increase the performance of laptop computer s quickly and you can do it alone without any risk.
