  • Pavilion a4316f: updated my graphics card

Hi, I was thinking about upgrading my graphics card for a GTX 750 TI is one of the better and cheaper options, but I don't know if it's compatible with my HP Pavilion a4316f, and if I need to upgrade my power supply. I saw that the EVGA 750 TI and MSI 750 it comes no power connector which I think means that I won't add the power raised to my PC.

    @CharSaurus

All above mentioned HP OEM graphics cards are used in similar to your HP PC models.  Everything should work with a 300 Watt POWER supply according to the specifications of HP.

  • HP Pavilion 222ur-550 T1H38EA: graphics card update

    Hello!

I recently bought a HP Pavilion 550 - 222ur and found out that the default graphics card (GeForce GT 730) is less efficient in most of the games. So I want to get a more powerful (thought mini GeForce GTX 750 Ti or Asus GeForce GTX 950). While researching the possibility of upgrade, I discovered that some graphics cards may not work on the PC of HP brand due to a BIOS issue. So the question is: will be mentioned in this workstation graphics cards? And if these cards are compatible, I'll have to get better food, as well, no? Thanks in advance.

    @Rilarn

    # You can improve it.

The ASUS GEFORCE® GTX 950 Mini would be a good candidate for the upgrade.  You can use cards PCIe x 16 UEFI based because your PC is post 2012. It doesn't have a legacy BIOS.  You should disable the start safe in the BIOS feature.

You can update the graphics card and the power supply end up with a decent gaming machine, if that is your goal.

Be aware that it will not compete with machines that are DIY built by amateurs or games machines made by the best companies of PC.

  • I have a Pavilion Elite m9340f. I want to update my graphics card

I have a Pavilion Elite m9340f and I was wondering if I could update my graphics card and if so what would be a good choice. Also can I upgrade my power supply?  A friend told me that I could not, because it's a computer brand, but thought I would ask someone with knowledge.  Thank you.

Robert, here is a link to the "Product information" pages for your computer:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3740326

These pages will give you all the specifications of your computer.

Yes, you can upgrade your video card.  First, you want to make sure that there is enough room for one of the new cards to fit.  You can find this information on the manufacturer's website.  I would say we could use until a 9800GT.  I think the cards are 9 "up to 10.5".  I like XFX, BFG or EVGA cards.  They are geared toward players and are of high quality.  My favorite is XFX.

Now for your power supply power supply unit (PSU).  It can also be upgraded.  the key is to open the case and measure the existing unit.  To ensure that new fits, it should be very close to the same size.  Most ATX units are pretty close to the same size.  I recommend at least a 600W unit.  This is what I have in my game rig:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817341001

Again, OCZ is a company that is geared to the players and fans.  They have very reliable products.  I have one in their PSU and memory.

One last thought, a new video card will generate more heat.  Thus, some cables will be very useful.  Simply run all cables so that they do not restrict the airflow to all components.

    I hope this helps.

  • Updated my graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite e9107c?

    Hi all

I want to update my graphics card for my computer, I can barely run settings means on most games these days, I never upgraded a computer in front of either, this was pre-built.

I am aware that the case is really small, but I'm not interested to buy a new computer/case. I want to just buy a graphics card and a power supply so I can run games like Guild Wars 2 and BF3 on medium-high settings. My computer can not handle same BF3 with resolution of 800 x 600, with windows, and graphic down, I get 10 frames per second at most out of it.

Then I would ask, what is the best graphics card that can fit in my computer? And her appropriate food to go with it?

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Computer name: HP Pavilion Elite e9107c

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200(2.33GHz)

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350

    Power: 300W

    Motherboard:

    RAM: 8 GB

    32-bit operating system - Windows 7

I am sure that all this is true, if I'm wrong, you can check online, its pre-built and I have not touched since.

I don't know what my motherboard, is the one that comes with the computer, I found this out of a site, and I think it's good, I'm not too sure:

    Motherboard - PEGATRON CORPORATION / model: 1.01 Eureka3

I know either the size of the card, or the power supply.

Whatever it is it would help a lot! My computer is already 3 years old, and I can not play games like TF2 and Skyrim above 800 x 600 with the everything low-medium settings by getting 20 + FPS.

Thanks in advance for the answers, I will add more information, if I listed those are not sufficient.

    Navibol,

Looking at your specifications and the requirements of the games you listed, BF3 is most intense.

    (1) you must measure the length available. See here

    (2) I would recommend the EVGA GTX560 or GTX560Ti, see here

    3) the minimum POWER supply: 560 suggests a 450W power supply, the 560Ti suggests 500W PSU.

I would say the Rosewill 630 or Corsair 600 . I'm the Rosewill this bias.

    CORI, welcome to the forum.

The power supply unit (PSU) is external and only 180W.  In addition, there is no slot PCIe.  Therefore, you cannot upgrade the video card.

  • Updated my graphics card

Hello guys, I'm going to buy the

HP Envy 700-056/700-216 desktop computer with AMD A10 - Quad Core processor accelerated soon and I'd like to update the graphics card I can play COD on it. Apparently HP computers are known for being finnicky with different graphics cards? I would like to know if the

EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti w/G-SYNC Superclock support 2 GB memory GDDR5 128-bit, Dual-Link DVI - I, HDMI, DP map chart 1.2 works on it. What the recommended power supply with this combo? I believe that this computer has power supply 300W

    Reconsister2, welcome to the forum.

If it's the video card that you want to review, it should work with computers.  The problem is that card manufacturers have made their cards need UEFI instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI full until mid-October 2012.  Given that the two computers you listed have Windows 8.0/8.1, they must be good.

Now, the map in the link shows that it requires a power supply (PSU) 300W or more.  I read the various reports on this subject, however.  If you decide on the map, you can try it with the existing 300W POWER supply to see if it works.  It won't hurt a thing to try.  It simply will not work correctly if it requires more power.

I have a hp pavilion a6325 and my graphics card is fried what graphics card is compatible? the old card is a nvidea geforce8500gt but these seem difficult to obtain now. If I wanted to update that is not compatible. C.P. specification is as follows.

Yes, you could install maps better with a more solid food.

The card I have chosen for you will work with the P/S of 300W to your PC.

I have never installed a power improved in any of my PC, so I can't be a great help for you there.

But if you get the right one that matches all connections from your PC, and fits in place of the current one, you, you should not need to buy anything others.

I am able to update the graphics card in my iMac end 2012? I know that this is not a gaming computer, but I want to be able to play low end games. Is this possible?

    # You don't have a 'card' in this model. Starting with 2012 models graphics hardware was inseparable and soldered to the logic board. Looks like this:

Small bumps under the person holds the heat sink are all your gfx hardware.

    Hello

Usually it of not possible to update the graphics card. You can't compare the laptop and desktop pc technology. The graphics card on the laptop is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard.

  • Satellite A100-207: is it possible to update the graphics card for games

    Hello

I am looking to buy the laptop Toshiba A100-207 and it comes with 128 MB shared graphics.

I would like to play games and I was wondering if I could update the graphics (for example, a nvidia card I could buy and put in) or the fixed graphics?

I just want to know if I am able to upgrade?

    Thank you

    Hello

In my opinion the graphics card or processor is not welded on the new generation of mobile phones. The parts must be simply plugged into the card.
But this does not change the status of the upgrade.
Eventually, you will be able to remove the graphics card but I m sure that you will have problems of compatibility with other hardware.

Fastest graphics card produces more heat and the temperature will automatically increase to a higher level. This would lead to overheating in the question and the laptop would be either closed or not starts.
PC desktop technology is simply different as on laptops. You can also compare different graphics cards. Laptop factory uses only graphics card chips what don t supports a clean cooling module.

It simply says s not possible to update the graphics card.
