HP Pavilion a6120n: graphics card for the a6120n Pavilion

Hello

I was wondering what kind of graphics card do I need to buy?... PCI or AGP and PCIe? I wonder if I can install a graphics card in my system? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

They do x 1 pci - x video cards, but they are only for the addition of another monitor... not good for games. You need a x 16 pci - x video card and you can not shoot for the moon. You probably have enough power or physical space to install a video card top online $ 500.

Here is the video card manufactured by EVGA.  It shouldn't harm your system somehow.  However, if you have trouble with the installation, you can contact their Technical Support (1-888-880-3842) or online.  They were very useful for me.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  As you can see, there are a lot of comments and appreciation 5 eggs.  You can't do better.

  • Graphics card for the system E73

    Hello

I'm trying to get a graphics card for my E73 system which will allow me to run three monitors simultaneously. After looking into the details, it seems that the E73 supports graphics embedded running at the same time as a discrete card, which would give me the ports three monitor.

To avoid any compatibility issues, I was hoping to get a map of Lenovo who is approved for this model. I have consulted the September 2016 Option compatibility matrix, which was the last to include my model (10AS ThinkCentre SFF E73). Which lifted to the top of this map as the best option:

    Lenovo GeForce 605 1 GB graphics DMS59 (part number 0B 47073)

But when I ordered it, unfortunately it wasn't available.

So, this leaves wondering what card to get in the place. I had a look through the most recent maps in the hope that one would be in stock. The sounds of the map below as it should work (small footprint and described as "full on Lenovo ThinkCentre specified systems"), but the Option compatibility matrix it list as compatible for some reason, so I hesitate to buy it.

Map of graph Lenovo GT720 GDDR5 1 GB Dual DP (part number 4X60K92692)

    Does anyone have recommendations?

I saw the post below which deals with non-Lenovo options. Is my best bet now?

The compatibility matrix is never complete, or implemented to date.   And it is good that the GT 605 was not available, its performance is less than the integrated Intel graphics card.   HD 4600 has a Passmark score of 646, which is better than a GT (score of 434) 620 and close to the score of a GT 630 (734).   A better source of what works is the list of adapters supported in the readme driver Nvidia for your E73 system, and which has been used successfully in your and similar systems of ThinkCentre generation.

The GT 720 will work, but a better card is the GT 730 DDR5 (GDDR5 memory.)

I suggest that you update your BIOS by using the CD ISO method before hand.

  • Recommendation for the new graphic card for the Pavilion a1250n Office running windows xp service pack 3

trying to upgarde my pavilion a1250n computer of office for graphics card MSI r5450 radeon. After installation of the new card in the PCI express and turn on the machine, does not start, screen goes black and the fans to run at top speed. The card and the machine starts fine with the ATI radeon 200 exprees edge. I went into Device Manager and disabled the ATI radeon 200 adapter, and the system still wouldn't start with the new card. Went into the Bios at startup and changed the setting of the adapter PCI E, the slot where I put the card, and still won't work, even with the Bios and Device Manager changes I made.

New card right out of the box, could be bad, or perhaps not compatible with my system? If is not compatible, what would you recommend? Currently I am running windows XP SP3 and am looking for a card that can be upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. I know that the ATI integrated graphics card cannot be upgraded, so I'd appreciate some advice really.

    Thank you.

  • Processor or graphics card for the best HD video in the Web?

I use a Mac Pro (early 2008) 2x3.2 GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon. I bought it used from a computer store.

The graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT 512MB.

My memory is 20GB 800 MHz etc etc.

I'm on Yosemite 10.10.5, using 6.0.5 FCP (Final Cut Studio 2)

    I shoot HD 1920 x 1080.

I notice the game back in the looks really rough canvas so I used the computer for all other applications prior to use of the CPF.

It is smooth only when I use first of the PCF after the computer starts. Sometimes, when I reboot, it will be good but soon begins to become unstable again.

I'm not sure if it's because my computer is not fast enough? strong enough? Do I need a faster processor or better video card?

I guess the memory isn't the question after reading other topics. But I have not found a topic that addresses this issue.

    Advice appreciated. Thank you.

20 GB is an odd number. Your RAM should be installed in multiples of 4. 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB.  Although I do not know if what matters a lot. You have a lot of RAM, because the FCP uses only 4 GB max.

The issue could be the fact that you run FCP 6 on an unsupported operating system.  The latest OS supporting FCP 6 was 10.5. FCP 7 last supported on 10.6.8... since then updated all the BONES do not take into account legacy CPF work into account.  You are 5 OS versions past version full support, so the application does not work as well as it would on an operating system supported.

Now... you say you shoot HD 1920 x 1080... you convert when you bring it in FCP? What codec is when you cut it? And this drive it is stored on? Logged how?

  • Is the XFX HD 7850 a good graphics card for the desktop HP-P7-1534.

I just got this computer in office during the summer because everyone said it would be a cheap system for games. I love this desktop computer, but there are a few games I would like to very smooth running as 4 Battlefield and Call of Duty: ghosts. I was just wondering if the graphics card XFX HD 7850 would meet my needs. I also intend to buy a new corsair 750W power supply for the graphics card would work.

    Jobro94, welcome to the forum.

Yes, the HD 7850 should work correctly.  If, however, you decide to take the Double (2 fans), you should get the measurements and make a cardboard template to ensure that it fits properly.  It is 9.5 "long and has two power connectors 6 pins.  They will add about an inch to the length, once the cables are connected.

Here are the recommended system requirements for BF4:

The PC recommended configuration for optimal rate of quality and Visual framework:

    • (Intel Core i5 or i7) CPU, Quad core at 3 Ghz
    • 4 GB memory (8 GB for 64-bit operating systems)
    • A modern map of DX11 graphics with 2 + GB of video memory, the series 600 GeForce or Radeon 7000 series
    • Windows 7 64 - bit operating system (Windows 8 is supported as well)
    • 30 + GB of free hard disk space

This is the recommended configuration for the Cod: Ghosts:

    Recommended configuration

    • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / 64-bit Windows 8
    • CPU: Intel Core i5-680 @ 3.6 GHz
    • RAM: 8 GB RAM
    • HARD drive: 40 GB HD space
    • Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 @ 4GB
    • Sound: Card its compatible DirectX
    • DirectX: DirectX 11
    • Internet: Connection broadband and service required for multiplayer connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

As you can see, BF4 will probably work better with the HD 7850 than COD: ghosts.  Cod seems to be more intensive graphics.

  • Upgrade graphics card for the best game - Pavillion P6360SC

    Hello

I have a Pavillion P6360SC with a graphics ATI Radeon HD 5450 and that you need to upgrade to a better (or similar?) ATI.

I play the last Star Wars Old Republic MMORPG (but have difficulties with my ATI 5450).

Is it possible to use e.g. ATI Radeon HD 6950 into my HP Pavilion?

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Processor: Intel Core i3 530 2.93 GHz
    Motherboard: MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E)
    RAM: 4 GB
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5450

    Best regards

    Jimmy Svensson

    Hi Jimmy,.

Most, if not all of the mid range and more AMD Radeon video cards provide at least a 400 Watt power supply. Recommended graphics cards are close higher and higher mid-range video cards.

If you don't want to power level video card here's something to consider.

An older but great video card is NVIDIA GT 240 1 GB DDR5. This card does not support DirectX 11 which is eventually used in some of the latest PC games but it's a great performer.

Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  • MacBook Pro 2014 - failure of the graphics card for the 2nd time in 2 years - no guarantee

    Hi all

end of 2014, I bought a new 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro mid 2014 model (A1502, EMC2875). A few months later, the graphics card has failed - no obvious reason. Apple replaced. Now, the graphics card has not yet. Still, the mac worked perfectly well (no overheating of the noise, nothing) and all of a sudden - no understandable reason or external actions, the graphics card has failed. Unfortunately, I do not have a guarantee of more. At least, I can access my documents by connecting two Macs, so I hope that the material is not affected.

My model (1502) apparently only has a single integrated graphics processor.

    My questions:

    • After some research, I discovered that Apple used to have these problems with the 2011 edition. They have implemented a replacement program. Does anyone know sth on this subject?
    • What graphics card would you recommend? How much such a graphics card? Where could I buy a cheap?

Of course, I don't want to reuse the same type - guess I don't have to explain how @* #&! I'm after two times the same problem within two years after the purchase of a brand new MacBook Pro...

I would appreciate any recommendations and links!

    Best regards

    Rahel

-As you say, your Mac model uses the graphics processor integrated in the CPU chip. So, there are ios no replacement possible. The CPU is soldered to the logic board

-The problem with the 2011 MacBook Pro was with the discreet Nvidia, not the graphics unit integrated in the CPU graphics unit.

-When you went to an Apple store just says the genius of APple?

This is the Office Mac Pro forum. I asked that your post be moved to the MacBook Pro laptop.

  • Can I add a new graphics card for the Yoga 12 Thinkpad?

I recently bought the yoga of thinkpad 2nd gen and I was wondering if I could update the graphics card in it. I have a Nvidia card in my last laptop Lenovo I could possibly switch.

Good day and welcome to the community.

There is no way to update the graphics in your machine, because it's a circuit integrated in the chipset CPU package. In addition, the graphics from nVidia in your other laptop Lenovo, while a discrete GPU, are also welded to the system board. Therefore, it is non-removable.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

    Kind regards.

  • Can I reactivate my Windows 7 if I change the graphics card for the second time?

    Hello

I have Windows 7 Home Premium (OEM) on my computer.

    (1) I've changed my memory (RAM) from 3 GB to 4 GB in 2011.

    (2) I installed a graphics Geforce GT 610 in 2013 to replace the integrated graphics card Intel G41 chipset.

And now, 2015, I want to replace the graphics card to a Geforce GT 730.

Will I need to reactivate Windows after that?

Also, I would like to know if this is considered as 2 (RAM and graphics card) or 3 changes (RAM and graphics 2 times).

No, this is not a radical change to justify the reactivation.

  • P7-1245 (QW762AA): list compatible graphics cards for p7-1245 (IPISB-CU)?

I bought a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 760 for my p7-1245 with a card mother IPISB-CU. Product specifications say that the motherboard supports PCI-E x 16 video cards. I also bought a 725w diet to accommodate the new video card.

After installation, the computer hangs on the splash screen for HP. I can't even in the setting menus.

After replacing the card with the original AMD Radeon HD 7450 everything worked again.

I did some research and discovered many similar problems when people try to replace or improve the graphics cards in their HP desktops. Recommendations including the update of the bios, etc. seem to be ineffective for others, with the possible conclusion is the incompatibility of the Council itself, with the graphics card.

Maybe the card I bought requires a newer generation PCI slot and is not backward compatible?

Is there a list of compatible graphics cards for the card mother IPISB-CU?

    Thanks for any help.

I have a HP pavilion 17e073 ed and I want to replace with a better graphics card. The problem is that I can't find anywhere if I can replace the graphics card. I want to replace it for the best benefits of games. I already bought an SSD and some more RAM.

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable, replaceable and upgradable 'cards' in your laptop.

The graphics quite part of the motherboard, and to improve the graphics, you would have to see if there is a motherboard listed in the guide service and maintenance for your laptop that has better graphics.

Replace the motherboard would be a labor intensive and expensive project.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps
