HP Pavilion d4995t: HP Pavilion d4995t Vista recovery disk

I have reviewed most of the posts here, but really impossible to find a solution.

I need to make the recovery discs for my computer in Vista 32-bit SP2. I don't have the application of tools and support and I find the file C:\Program Hewlett - Packard HP Vision equipment Diagnostics\DiscCreation\disccreation.exe and it does not exist on my computer.

I'm open to media buying as a last resort, but when I bought last HP recovery media to another computer I paid for 2 day shipping and it arrived in two days. Impossible to find someone at HP to reimburse my purchase. Fortunately, for this media I don't have need expedited service... I hope!

Looking forward to your help.

    Hello world

Is a possible way to recovery vista recover disk from toshiba?

I have the recovery disk xp that comes with my toshiba r600, but is there a way to get the toshiba vista recovery disk? Download? or something?
I didn't create drive recovery with vista... so is he lost? I do not really need vista OS but just in case, is it possible to recover it?

    Thank you.

    Hello

What OS came preinstalled on your Portege R600?
    Was it Vista?

If so there should be an option that allows you to create a recovery disk.
You can use the preinstalled called creator Toshiba Recovery disk which is able to create the recovery disk.

But if you have already formatted the HARD drive then you will not be able to create this disc of recovery :(

In this case, you should check this page:

  • Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option

Back to school for 4 children with laptops is a pain, he seems to be constantly before wipe them and their establishment again.

Any ideas why the Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HARD drive recovery option?

I made a USB key and copied all the files from a backup of the Recvery drive to it. The USB displays the TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option but calls for the disks and will not run the recovery of the USB itself. It's annoying, but at least I can still use it to recover the machine.

    I would like to be

    the problem with discs

    or

get the USB key to retrieve by using its own files instead of asking for the disks. Vista was not created with the option to recover from USB, so maybe I can't.

HARD drive recovery option appears not in the advanced boot menu if something has been changed or modified on the HARD disk and the flag was removed.
For example, this may be the case if the partition has been changed, modified or if HARD drive recovery files or folder has been changed, moved, or deleted.

In case you want to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings, you must use the recovery disk

  • Neosmart of VISTA recovery disk

Tried to use it to start Vista to allow me to join the office so I can either do a system restore or format and reinstall Vista. Have Acer Aspire M1100 which is formatted by the departure of John. Booted from the recovery disk, choose repair your computer, it searches the operating system and finds Vista. He then seek out problems and then asks if you want to do a system restore, choose YES, but then it goes back to the repair attempt going on and so on and gets me nowhere. Please can someone tell me where I'm wrong if I understand correctly that this disc has obtained a large number of people out of trouble. Thank you

NeoSmart is NOT a relocation of the disc.

It will attempt to repair your boot files of the system, not the files of your operating system.

If it will not get Vista running, you need to reinstall Vista.

    http://www.Acer.com/worldwide/support/index.htm

Contact Acer on how to use the recovery Partition, or ask them to send you a set of Vista recovery disk.
You can try pressing Alt + F10 to see if that will start the process of recovery from the factory.

  • I am unable to boot into windows vista 32-bit, so I downloaded the vista recovery disk and get an oxo error code what it means?

Windows recovery disc 32-bit error code meaning version question

    Hello
I hope someone can help me. I am unable to boot into windows vista 32-bit, so I downloaded the vista recovery disk and get an oxo error code what it means (thanks in advance)?

You don't give any info on what was the original problem with the computer.

You have set the Bios Setup to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

At startup, it will say press F2 or delete key to go into Bios/Setup, or maybe F12 to go to the Start Menu.

And have you tried also to tap F8 at startup and choose Safe Mode from the list of Boot Options?

Use up arrow key to do this, press on enter.

Browse your Hard Drive manufacturer's website, download software from here and test your hard drive for errors.

  • Windows vista recovery disk.

My hard drive crashed recently. Fearing the worst, I bought a new drive hard by I am unable to find my recovery disk. I always have my validation code. I got my computer to reboot, but I don't want to take any chances with the old hard drive. Is it possible that I can do a windows recovery disc, so I can run on the new drive before he decides to hang again. Also, I contacted the manufacturer and they said they no longer offer the vista recovery disks.

Standard support vof vista is complete.  You may be able to get a dvd of Vista but if vista came pre-installed you will need to find an OEM copy.  I doubt you'll find one.  Might want to try eBay (but make sure that it is legitimate)

If you can't find one that maybe this is the time for you to upgrade to win 7.

  • Where to get the Windows vista recovery disk to do a clean install?

Where can I get the windows vista for any new installation disk. Both my recovery disk & HDD crashed. I had windows vista preinstalled.

    Hello

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Vista Recovery - dump of physical memory w / code error 0x000000F4 (and other)

    Hi all

It's my first time posting in the forums so I hope I picked the right place and will do my best to be brief but informative.

    Computer: HP Pavilion dv6000

    Operating system: Windows Vista.

For 6-8 months, he was unable to run Windows Update, citing that the most likely reason was a virus. I tried many power outages of options when it was recommended I have perform a chkdsk command. After the launch of a chkdsk in command prompt command, my computer has restarted and has a black screen with no cursor. After watching this 2 hours and realize that none of the usual chkdsk or text progress was that I made the decision to force stop.

When I rebooted, I was told to enter the system recovery which I did and completed a recovery of the system from the hard drive. After the system recovery finished and the laptop has rebooted, I encounter a Blue Screen of Death, due to a physical memory dump. The error codes are STOP: 0x000000F4 (0xFFFFFA8006671040, 0xFFFFFA8006671278, 0 x 0000000000000003, 0xFFFFF80001D01DA0).

I'm not able to boot in safe mode. In the Startup Repair, I am able to get into command prompt, where I again chkdsk. The f / chkdsk and chkdsk r / passed without error. In addition, the computer has spent the two disk hard UEFI and memory tests. I have the recovery CD for the computer system, but they fail at the end of 78%.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more information. I would appreciate any advice!

    Thank you!

After trying some of the various troubleshooting methods available in the HP's Support Forums, I finally created a new set of recovery disks of Windows Vista, follow the procedure described in this post. These discs have managed to perform a restore of the system and solve the BSoD error that I lived.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Pavilion a6230n Vista Recovery

Impossible to find on the site of HP recovery disks I guess that they are not available.

Vista sticker with the always readable product codes.

    My question is:

Can I buy a copy of "system builder" of Win 7 and use the info on the Vista sticker to activate?

I know I'll probably lose my data, but it's OK.

Thank you in advance.    Greetings from Boston embalmed.

    Hello

Unfortunately a Vista product key would work with Windows 7, but your original recovery disks are available at the retailer part 3 at the following link.

  • HP pavilion dv7-6b55dx recovery disk

    Hi all

I have a hp Pavilion dv7-6b55dx hard drive failed.  Fairly easy to install a new hard drive, but its been a bit more difficult to find any kind of information recovery disk.  The laptop has a hand, and we only had a very short time. Ever created of my own restore disks (I know, I know).  It used Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

I can't find anything on the HP site regarding recovery assistance, its seems that my camera is no longer supported.  I spoke with Microsoft, although the Windows product key is always on the computuer itself, they said I have to buy a new operating system on their part.  And then even after that, I guess I would have to update the other pilot material as well and may require some sort of recovery disk?  I've been on the HP site, it doesn't seem to be another option to pay to speak with someone, and at this point, I'm afraid that I would pay to hear that there nothing more they can do.

If you can't tell from my post, I'm not the most computer-savvy person.  I searched online for ideas and found no too.  Most other suggestions are a few years now and do not seem to apply more.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Pavilion P6-2260ea who started running very slowly and crash intermittently.  Self-assessment of DPS ran the disk, the drive specified result was suspect and should be replaced.  I bought a Seagate Barracuda SATA drive to replace the SATA Hitachi in the machine.  Unfortunately, that I had not created so recovery discs I bought at HP.

The Seagate is now installed but when I put the recovery disk 1 in the drive ROM its starts to load windows files, then the error.  I ran the DPS Sef Test against the new drive and it is successful, then the new drive seems to be ok and recognized, I think?

I forgot that your PC has usb ports 3.

You cannot use those when you try to boot from a flash drive (at least not until the 3 Windows USB drivers are installed, which they were not).

Sorry, the recovery disks did not work.  It was a lot of quid to spend on something that did not work!
