HP Pavilion dm1 Notebook: after formatting drive HARD Windows Activation failed

My laptop (HP Pavilion dm1z-3000) comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. My system was full of junk it was not usable. I tried to use the feature of HP recovery, several times but it still fails. So I decided to format and reinstall Windows.

I got a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit OEM I bought for a desktop computer. Before formatting, I used a software key finder to get the Windows key from the original Windows 7 installed on my laptop, so I could use it to validate the other copy of Windows 7, but I found that I get an error 0xC004F063 code, the computer BIOS missing licence reqd

Help, please.

Well, this would mean that you have to order the official HP recovery media to restore factory.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-n203ex: 10 a Windows Activation failed after clean install

To say things in a concise way, I bought a HP Pavilion Notebook with Windows 8.1 15-n203ex 64 bit pre installed.  On July 30, 2015, I upgraded my windows 8.1 to windows 10 which was provided as a free Microsoft Update and everything went fine except for a problem of display that has been fixed after installing the latest Nvidia drivers.

Now, after about 30 days, I thought to do a clean install to my laptop with windows 10 and so downloaded ISO appropriate and my installation. After the installation of the new operating system, it is not Activated at all no matter what I do, I get an error to enter the CD key.

Before you do a clean install of windows 10, using scripts from the internet, I received the Windows key from the registry that is unfortunately not be accepted by windows 10 now.

Microsoft has informed if an upgrade is done Windows 8.1 for windows 10 there is no need to have a key during installation should be the key automatically from the Bios, correct me if I'm wrong.

Please, help me to overcome this particular problem I am facing.

Even after 20 days Activation took place so I decided to do a brief study of the issue and find me a solution.

I solved the problem by downloading the 8.1 Windows 64 bit iso from Microsoft's Web site and installed. During installation, surprisingly the Installer did not ask the product key. Everything went very well and immediately after the update of the firt he invited upgrade me to Windows 10 I did happily.

There are several applications available on the internet that provides you with the windows product key 8 or 8.1 from the Bios. Neosmart found to be the most simple and free to use without any malware.

Now, my laptop is running 64-bit Windows 10 and fully active and up to date.

Hope that this could be useful for someone like me.

  • HP Pavilion 15 notebook pc: BlueTooth driver for Windows 10

I have upgraded to windows 10 a year ago, after the upgrade, I lost my bluetooth. I installed several drivers on the hp store Bluetooth but I can't yet find all driver bluetooth on my device manager.

    You are the very welcome.

All PCs with windows 7 or newer have default bluetooth settings and services.

This does not mean that they have the bluetooth hardware (which yours does not).

You can add an adapter bluetooth usb external, or if your laptop is easy access to the wireless card, you can replace the card realtek wireless 8188 with a bluetooth wireless card, such as the wireless card Realtek RTL8723BE, which also has built in bluetooth radio.

Consult the service manual for your specific model laptop see how it would be difficult to remove and replace the wlan card.

The Broadcom bluetooth driver works only with Broadcom wireless cards and yours is a realtek wireless card.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  • driver for BCM20702A0, in the pavilion dm1 notebook

Where can I get the driver for BCM20702A0? I have a HP pavilion dm1 laptop windows 7 home, 64 bit laptop. Thank you!

    Hello:

I'm glad you got the webcam to work.

Because your model is a CTO (set up to order), there is no form for the model you own.

The best way to know if your model has bluetooth is to go to the Device Manager and look at the list of devices.

Near the top, there should be a Bluetooth icon (in alphabetical order).

If it is not a list while there should be a device with one! Mark who need drivers if there is a bluetooth module and the correct driver is not installed, this is what you would see.

If you don't see all of this look in the Device Manager, most likely your PC did not come with BT

Why? It is almost never necessary. A good anti-virus program can almost
always remove the infection. And often leads to problems with formatting
as you have discovered. Even if you have no problems, it creates a lot
    work for you.

so my original os is also lost in formatting.now im using, with windows 8 form, a service on the local computer, it is possible to recover my system to the scene when I bought it.

If you have or can get a DVD installation or a recovery partition,
    Yes. Otherwise, no.

  • Satellite P20 - formatting drive HARD and the installation of Windows XP Sp2

    Hello world

Beforehand, I want to thank you for taking the time to help me with my questions.

Due to system problems I'm trying to re - install Windows XP SP2.

Based on the installation process, I have two questions:

    1. when I start the PC, the operating system Windows XP installation CD in the CD drive, I am unable to run it directly. Instead the old operating system (which I want to remove) starts. Is there a specific key in the Toshiba P20 notebook that runs the CD automatically? I understand that when the Windows XP installation CD to run it gives me the option to format the HARD drive.

    2. If I want to format the HARD disk directly, what is the best way to do this?

Once again, thank you very much for the help

    Best regards

    Q.

    Hello

I assume that you have the original CD of Microsoft Windows XP.
To install a new OS, you must start on this CD.

Insert the CD and after laptop starting immediately press the F12 key.
This will enable the Startup menu, and then you may choose the CD/DVD drive as the boot source.

    As to question 2;
During the installation of XP Setup will ask you the HARD drive formatting. Simply to choose this option and the HARD drive will be formatted.

    Good bye

  • HP Pavilion dm1 Notebook pc: black screen

My screen goes black when I start windows 7 on my laptop of Dm1 Hp Paviliom. Also, I have connected my pc to an external monitor via VGA cable, and then I can see the windows operating system in the external monitor. I did a test to start and then I got these results:

    Optimized DST: Software error
Battery test: primary past secondary - has NOT been

    PCI device control: past.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Starting test: past

Does anyone have an idea of this behavior? How can I solve this problem

    Hi @ljuserhpfor ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I appreciate all the information and the results of the tests that you did. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dm1-3025dx Entertainment Notebook PC and the laptop does not start. In my view, that the question is called the RTC battery. (Real TIme Clock).  Here isa document to show you how you can replace that.

If you see things very well on a screen, it might be a bad driver has been installed. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you.

  • Asio low latency generic Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC XS078EA driver

Hello! I have a Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC.  Product XS078EA number. I restored the system to its original state with restore disks. After restoring the system, my audio device doesn't have the "generic low latency asio driver" option more. I used this driver with many production music applications like FL studio and Ableton Live, with optimal performance. Now, I can only use Direct Sound drivers, very poor indeed. I already downloaded and installed the latest version of IDT High Definition Audio drivers from the site, with no result. Please, how can get this 'pilot audio generic low latency' for my audio chipset again?

Thanks a lot for your help

Problem solved installung Nuendo 4, actually the first audio program I installed when I bought the PC. Generic low latency asio driver has been installed by Nuendo. In my view, remains the best driver asio for integrated audio devices.

Thank you very much for the help!
