HP Pavilion dv6-1334us: Xp  w10, how?

Hi all:

As I posted there, I bought this HP Pavilion dv6-1334us years. The original operating system is win7.

I don't like the w7 and tried to downgrade to xp. The title of help from this forum, succeeded.

Now, the XP ceased to support by MS and Chrome being also withdraw support.

I have to install win10 to replace the good XP.

I downloaded the software MS w10: "win10_1511_English_x32.iso" (2. 8 g).  It is now in my

Hard drive.  I had no experience to install a *.iso software!  How to clean install or upgrade even? …..

I could learn the concrete way?

I read your post about wanting to install Win10 and wanted to help.

While you MIGHT have improved the Win7 PC to Win10, unfortunately, there is no "upgrade path" for older operating systems.  This means that you can not run the upgrader and choose to keep anything of the existing BONE.

Instead, you must do a clean install.

You do this by creating the installation Win10 - DVD or USB media.  Since you have the ISO, you can choose which of the following statements to make, based on what you need to start your DV6:

(1) USB stick (preferably, because it's faster): download RUFUS, install it, run it and select the downloaded ISO file.  This will create a USB bootable Win10.

(2) DVD: Download ImgBurn, install it, run it and select the downloaded ISO file.  This will create a bootable Win10 DVD drive.

Then, start from one of them and follow the instructions.

Once completed, you should have a working Win10 install.

If all the drivers are missing, then come back to these forums and ask for them.  He has "Trusties" here who are experts looking for drivers for older PCs.

Good luck

  • Pavilion dv6-1334us: for the w10, how to change office?

    Hi all:

I just replaced Windows XP with win10 House in my pc.

The office/w10 screen is dark with a white beam of light from the window.

Traditionally, the screen is distributed with the program/website icons you like and color

and the reason that you can select.

I prefer the old. How van I change thr new w10 beautiful screen old style?

    Thank you!

    Ok.

You can use Windows 10 without activating it, but you will lose many of its features. I think you may have found one of them.

I just learned about this new model of operating system for Windows 10 in an article I read yesterday.

Subsequently, you will need to purchase a license key and enter to activate Windows 10 as an upgrade to Windows XP.

Windows XP does not get the free update of Windows 10.

    Hi, @zpxykm :

Yes, Windows Live Mail 2012 works almost exactly the same as Outlook Express used to.

It was even the same settings.

Outlook Express has been integrated into Windows 98, 2000 and XP.

You will never have to download it, and it is not available for any operating system that was released after Windows XP.

After you download WLM 2012, this link will help you put in place.

If you have a Hotmail account, WLM will develop that automatically.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-1334us Entertainment Notebook - mute button color in the key board is always Red

The color of button mute Audio always on red although the sound turns power on and off when you press.  When the switch is turned off indicator turns white for a second.  Please suggest me the solution so that the mute button becomes red and white on the operation.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

IDT Audio Driver - Windows 7.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When it finished, restart the computer again and check if the 'secret' led now changes colors correctly.

  • How to adjust the contrast screen (HP Pavilion dv6-3225dx)?

Hello, the contrast on my screen in some sort I messed up, and I can't find out how to adjust it. Any help is very appreciated.

    Hey Nate,

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 too - I came across your post (and 'Help' of Viki), because my contrast was all out of whack, too (much too bright). Adjust the gamma is nothing - but then I unplugged the power cord from the laptop, waited a second and plugged back in and voila! It's all good now. Don't know why...

There is also this thread about changing the color settings - I have not tried what they said, but can be useful...

    Manual

It can handle up to 16 GB memory DDR3-1333 (2 x 8 GB modules).

No way to add a touchscreen. I don't know how you changed Intel Radeon graphics card, unless you have installed a different motherboard. The original motherboard has two graphics chips, so if you install the right driver you can access the AMD Radeon HD M 7470.

The processor could theoretically be upgraded to an i7, but these improvements are rarely economically justified because of the high cost of processors unique and time required for doing the upgrade. Somehow, I think less than 10% of the improvements that we are discussing on this Forum actually. You simpler and better (more efficient) upgrade is to install an SSD. You will think that you have an i7 and 16 GB of RAM.

  • HP Pavilion DV6 laptop: how to find the windows product key

I have a laptop HP Pavilion DV6 584037-001 which originally had windows 7 pre-installed on it, but later, I installed windows 10. I would like to know where I can find my windows product key - please help me.

How can I make sure that the BIOS of my laptop will recognize a USB key, after that I installed an SSD in my laptop so that I will be able to use the USB to install an ISO Windows 7 Home Edition?

    Third question:

The ISO Windows 7 Home Edition will include all its drivers?

Hi MarcoPolo777, for the key, you can use a software called produkey.

    Hello

    You should find the Manual:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02659236.PDF

Then locate the major components, description and computer see the reference number of the Law Commission. You have a laptop with a built-in onboard vga (UMA), then the reference is 595135-001.

However, you could actually move the laptop to a dedicated vga ATI Radeon HD 6550.

For use on computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with dedicated memory and chipset HD 6550:

631082-001. This requires a new heatsink:

For use on computer models equipped with graphics subsystems with discrete memory 606575-001.

This means that if you buy a different Board and a heat sink, you might have a better graphics card.

Use ebay or google to find the best prices...

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6135dx Enterta: how to use the recovery discs

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6135dx Entertainment Notebook PC laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1. All Windows updates have been installed. I did a scan for sfc.exe. Empty folder of Pendingrenames then the scan has begun with this empty folder. Once the scan has been done there 2 156 files in the folder Pendingrenames put by sfc.exe.

The CBS.log log shows more than 2500 pages of problems reported by sfc.exe/scannow. It's huge to be listed here. Most seem to be related to the 'stores' relative to the updates of Windows that have been downloaded in the past months. Looks like there are about 6 500 system files corrupted reported and not of miracle.  I think that "WinDoze" people don't like me not with nearly 90% of the corrupt files were caused by the downloaded Windows updates.

The newspaper says in 95% of the problems, he was unable to remedy. I don't have a Windows 7 installation DVD because my OS is an OEM installation so I can't perform a "repair Windows". My only recourse seems to use my HP recovery disks. There are 3 DVD, numbers 1 and 2 seems to be the recovery of the DVD and number 3 seems to be a kind of supplement, possibly having to with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1.  Don't know what the 3rd DVD or how to use it. Any suggestions what it is and how to install it would be greatly appreciated.

Someone at - it suggestions as what I can do, in addition to a full recovery. My restore points do not go back too far that when these Windows updates have been downloaded and installed.

Is there a list of the Windows updates & Windows somewhere that should not be loaded with this operating system? I plan to install all updates "critical", "largest". I might just give up those optional. I downloaded and tried the update Rediness tool (SURT) system which was a complete exercise in futility. Just made me more the corrupted system files.

Would appreciate any help that I can use with this. I look forward to a full recovery, since it will take me several hours to reinstall all my programs.

Well, you must then replace the motherboard. I don't think you would spend up to $400 to get some USB 3.0 ports when you can buy a new machine with USB 3.0 ports already with that amount of money.

    Hello

I just got back my cell phone after being reimagee Windows.

However not in the same goes for the volume (it's always white) and also before the reimage whenever I put the volume there was little box on the screen showing how I changed the volume... Hello mmirjam, welcome to the Forums of HP.

It seems that your lack of 'volume bar' since having your laptop reimagee. I will try to help you with this.

Start using this document from Microsoft: how the icons appear in the notification area of change.

He should be able to guide to check settings, to see if this has been changed.

If this does not work, then try to update the audio drivers: HP Pavilion dv6-2120sl Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers.
