HP Pavilion dv6-3071TXq Windows 7 64-bit, get my HP window key

OK, so I've had my laptop HP Grays online, and recently I leave that fourteen years old uses to go on facebook, it has not only used to do this, install flash chat and video programs after I told her don't probably and then after seeing do me my thing on the PC Tower probably play with the files that run the system. the next time it was turned on I could no longer enter the login screen but could always get with safe mode.

I drove back to point earlier and then I found the problem and only a reinstallation was apparently the fix.

I had lost the paperwork that came with the laptop, but still receiving in my email and and Os CD to my PC Tower. I put just to reinstall windows, I choose to format the hard drive and install from there.

It's only when I got up to put in the CD key I noticed that patients on the bottom was faded almost as on the CD key for windows 7 (home perm OA) and was unreadable, selected reveling in the format I just couldn't go back into windows and get the CD key.

I contacted gray-online and that they were unnecessary, saying that they do not follow a BONE CD key record that comes with the laptop.

Having said my neighbor next door on the penalty, I was at, he explained that HP would be able to help me because you would keep a copy of what the OS has been on this laptop, I can provide HP with the number under the barcode - & the number as proof of license and also a copy of the paid invoice if necessary.

I hope to hear from a representative of HP soon

Sorry, but this is a user-to-peer support forum. HP doesn't support any official presence on these forums and is unlikely to provide an official response. Please contact HP customer support in your region for assistance at HP.

In general, the Windows product key on the certificate of authenticity is not the same key is used to activate your HP computer. The recovery discs HP that you should have when you got your computer wouldn't ask a Windows product key and would automatically install the correct product key.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6b26sa Windows 7 - SM Bus controller driver missing

    Hello

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6b26sa.

I love the laptop.  I did a clean reinstall of Windows 7 64-bit.

Everything installed perfectly, except the SM Bus controller - I have a yellow! next to him - no drivers...

I did the update of the autopilot in the Device Manager, found nothing.  I read that some people have tried to install the latest AMD / ATI graphics and chipset drivers.  So I made this using automatic detection and install the AMD software - he advised that I have installed the drivers of mobility.  Yet the SM Bus controller has no driver.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you very much

    Steve

Your computer supports only Windows 7. It is the operating system that is supported.

In fact, Windows 7 is a good choice considering this support of Win 7 Pro/Ultimate/Enterprise virtual XP, called XP Mode. Learn more about it here:

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).

    Hello

Try to follow the procedure at the title of the subheading "Let fix me it myself" on the link below to delete the upper and lower filters and see if that helps the issue.  Although Windows 8 is not mentioned, the registry keys must be the same.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6c02ax Windows 7 drivers

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6c02ax with a new installation of Windows 7 on it and a few devices that pilots are coming up as not found.

    They are as follows:

    BCM20702AO

    SM Bus controller

    (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller

    (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller

Where can I find the drivers for these devices. USB would normally be covered by the chipset driver, but it's not on my support page products. When I used the utility to detect my drivers and update updated some said but now I have everything but I do not have.

Can someone tell me please in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

    Hi, Steve:

I don't understand why HP does not include the AMD chipset drivers for AMD laptops.

Their products all based Intel have the drivers (chipset, USB 3.0, etc.), all on the laptop support and driver page.

They gave you a real double-blow hard.  No driver chipset and no driver Broadcom Bluetooth!

So, here are the drivers you need...

First, install the AMD chipset driver and restart. This will install the SMBus Controller and USB 3.0 controllers.

You want the first file listed.

  • HP pavilion dv6 1002nr windows vista edition family compatibility with wep to the wifi router security

I have a hp pavilion dv6 1002nr running Windows Vista Home edition.  I just installed a new modem/router from Verizon.  The modem/router is an Actiontec GT784 VNO (V stands for Verizon, I read).  However, Verizon technology that helped me to set up my wireless network said that my Windows Vista computer is 'inconsistent' with WPA or WPA2 security, when he had me assiting to set up my modem/router.  As a result, he said he had to set up WEP security (which is a weak way to secure my wireless network).  So it changed the parameters of the modem/router WPA2 to WEP, which made me feel less secure.  He said I needed to upgrade to Windows 7 or higher.  Is this true?  Is there another solution (like updating wireless drivers) instead?  I always keep my Windows Vista operating system.  Thanks for any suggestions or links to find solutions.  I want to use WPA or WPA2 security for better security.  Thank you.

    Hello:

You have the terrible child Atheros card.

Download and install this driver, reboot and you should be able to change the security of your router to WPA2-Personal wireless.

I don't recommend you disable or uninstall devices listed there.  One is the wired ethernet (Realtek).

The other 2 are a few things of internet protocol.

  • Pavilion DV6-7010US: Windows 7 x 64 OS Recovery for a customer with a hard drive defective

If a customer brings in his laptop DV6 we replace the hard drive (physical hardware failure on the read/write heads, click of death) and you notice the product key (of course) is rubbed off the label.  In addition, the client wants that pass us 850 Pro Samsung SSD (no problem) as soon as we have the HP recovery media.

So we order the media and go to install it, and the first thing we encounter at 6% is the error: failed to create the CDS. FLG

    * crap *.

    Troubleshooting time:

Tried an external DVD - RW drive to install OS - no dice

Tried a disk WD Black 7200 RPM (new) - No dice

Tried removing the RAM bars, different slot configurations - no dice

Many other hours of troubleshooting resulted with all the same result.  We even recalled HP to verify that they sent the correct discs which they categorically said they did.

So here we are with a laptop that should have only taken an effort of 2 hours and ended up with a happy customer, and now we are nowhere close to a successful outcome.  So I return to the forum of the assistants, geniuses and then the occasional * happy? * HP Support person asking for help.
