HP-Pavilion dv6-3127dx laptop / Laptop drive hard test failed

HP-Pavilion dv6-3127dx laptop / Windows 7 Home

My HP-pavilion laptop refused to start today displayed the following error message;

Your hard drive has failed/Failure Error ID - 60DV64-5B16S0-XD003F-60XQ03

I tried to turn off and restart it again and it worked this time, in any case, I tried to start the diagnosis tool and got the following results;

Your hard drive has failed/Failure Error ID - 60DV64-5B16S0-XD003F-60XQ03

I've been in these situations for the third time the week last 1. That this error really means? It is time to replace the HARD drive?

Thanks in advance for your time on this reading.

Hello:

Yes, you should backup your files and replace the hard drive because it will ultimately be completely conk out on you.

No one will be able to tell you what those generated codes mean.

    Hello

Yes, this notebook is compatible with the backlit keyboards. This is the manual of your laptop:

See the computer section of major components for the right part number and run the part number on ebay. You can also search on ebay for "dv6 backlit keyboard. Backlit keyboards there only for two sets or more.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6099el graphics card driver

I own a HP Pavilion dv6-6099el laptop, I bought about 1 year and a half ago, and I've upgraded to Windows 8. In fact when buying the Pc it was suggested an upgrade at low prices to Windows 8 for only 15 euros. Now, I got Windows 8 a few months and I have achieved a notable reduction in fps while playing video games and have consequently run evaluation tests. I discovered that I am currently using my intel GPU because my Radeon graphics card is not the driver, so I searched for it, but a Windows 8 for my graphics card driver has not been released, I urge therefore HP to publish an update driver for Windows 8 or I have to replace my laptop relatively new

    Thank you

    At any time.

I hope that you will get the driver works correctly. Please post back and let us know if this driver works for you.

You can also try this another version of the driver and see if it works better.

    Hi Pete,.

    You are welcome.

It is difficult to say exactly why the HARD drive started to fail and there's always a random item concerned - I've known a few hard drives fail after a few weeks, while others can be quite happily far longer than expected.

  • Mounting my drive hard exFAT fails more than 70% of the time in Windows XP.

Mounting my drive hard exFAT fails more than 70% of the time in Windows XP.  I downloaded the Microsoft exFAT driver (Windows XP-KB985704 - x 86 - ENU.exe) and installed XP Service Pack 3.  However, when I turned the computer off and restart it, the disc will install.  I'm having this problem with several readers.  Looks like the player trying to get (new Windows hardware sound chimes when you plug in the drive).  Then rapidly thereafter dismantle it quickly sounded. When I take the car and plug it into my Mac, it is still rising.  Is it possible that I have to do something more to install the Microsoft exFAT driver?  The drive is made by G-technology.  I also tried to remove the disc before you turn off the computer and turn off the computer with the mounted drive yet.  Whatever it is, the reader is not recognized when I restart the computer.  I ran an on the disks and sometimes Apple disk utility, I get the message that the reader has a cluster to run repair disk.  After that, the player either go up or not.  There is no virus on the Windows computer.  The operating system is a novelty.  I use the system only to run AVID.   No other software is on the computer other than what came with it.  The computer is a HP 8600 workstation.  I mount the drive through a port firewire 400 on the computer using firewire 400 to 800 cable G technology.

    Hi motionpicturedirector,

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click on Start , then run.

    (b) type msconfig , and then click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.

    (c) click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services , and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

  • Drive hard test has failed Hard disk 1 (303) fast for my HP mini 110-3700ca PC.

    Windows 7 32-bit operating system.

After a tragic accidental "bump" on the table (I think even it's so serious..), the computer begins to slow down considerably, and when I tried to restart it, it shows:

    Windows error recovery

Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

He recommend me to launch startup repair, but because the HP mini is not a CD-Rom... It shows the error status: 0xc0000225.

It's pretty obvious that bumping could damage the hard drive, so I tried to run the disk check, and "hard disk 1 (303) fast" was all that I've got ACE.

I put a lot of files on my netbook, and I am desperate enough to see that it works again. Help, please!

    Hello

Well, it of very sad, could also be due to physical damage. Anyway, please do a HARD test drive:

    1. reboot the computer.
    2. keep pressing the F10 key when appears the HP logo. This will take you to the Bios configuration utility.
    3. Select the Diagnostics tab.
    4. Select the option "drive hard test" and press ENTER to perform the test.
Note: This test takes at least 40 minutes (with luck)

Go - the hard disk is not damaged, you can restore the data.
Fail - the hard drive is damaged and may need to be replaced, no choice.

    Kind regards.

  • "Disk hard test" failed

My laptop was not starting and then to a system diagnostics page, advising me to do a hard drive Test. I did, and then he led me to a screen saying:

    "Disk hard Test" failed

    "Hard drive 1 SMART" (301)

    "Hard drive 1 QUICK" (303)

    'Hard drive 1 FULL' (305)

Diagnostics of the system... and then it just says: tests of f1 - f4.

What would the next step from here? I'll try some of the different tests.

    Thank you, Leah.

    Hi Lea,.

All error codes (301 is a Smart failure with 303 & 305 respectively being the short & Long drive Self Test failed) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the question of commissioning.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, please let me know - include the full model number and the laptop Nr - see here for an explanation.

  • Hard drive test failed on HP Pavilion dv6-1100eo laptop computer

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1100eo Entertainment Notebook PC (P/N: NR597EA) with Vista 32 bit.  Unfortunately no guarantees left in, and in general I was very satisfied with this laptop.

But suddenly Wondows would not start up - and it has yet to start Recovery hard disk partition. As I didn't know if this start was on hard drive or not - I ordered the DVD of recovery system for this version of Scandinavian language.

These discs didn't work - so I thought that I probably did not my homework before ordering these disks.

So I ran Diagnostics System (even if I have an older version of BIOS F.03).  On the diagnostics - test hard drive fast and complete failed during the first 1% analysis.

Is there something that can be done - or is the only option new hard drive? In the case - the what hard drive is recommended is too cheap - because I don't want to invest too much in a book soon 3 year.

Recently I have bougth an external hard drive (1 TB) based on the USB connection. That allows bypassing the HD internal. In this way I would increase HD capacity and not invest more in this notebook - since I already have the recovery DVDs

It's probably a matter of time before I go buy a new HP laptop - that is why I don't want any long standing patch this problem.

    Hello

Sorry to say, but you won't be able to install or boot from external HARD disk Vista, so if you need to get the workbook, you will have to replace the internal drive.

The player at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.

    Hard drive 500 GB

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 57 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

Once this is done, simply use your recovery DVD to reinstall the operating system on the new drive.

  • installation of a hard drive accelearation 32 gb on HP Pavilion dv6-3127dx WSSD

    Re: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook, #XG756UA, #ABA, Windows 7

Hello, I have the laptop above, bought on / 12/2010.  Because I dropped it by mistake, he cracked the tank down to the left and the hingue screen is loose so I have one vision of the white screen now, but other that the laptop works.  It does not guarantee the expense to fix this problem, so I decided to buy a new laptop and keep this one as a desktop use.  I connected it to an old CRT monitor right now and it works very well and does the job (I turn ends up getting a HP Monitor to have a more modern monitor).  I am actually very happy that there is still life in this book, the view is much better on this old CRT monitor and other that the stupid error in fact throw my bag of books without realizing that the laptop was in it (one lap memory), this laptop has been well looked after - the only problem is that it's sometimes very hot , do not know why because I don't really play games on it, but I understand this model had this problem anyway.

To improve the stimulation I wonder if I can install a cache to speed up hard drive 32 gb WSSD.  I want to know if this process is simple enough for me to make my own.  It is a card that I just bought and plug a peripheral location or is it something that needs to get inside the laptop; where a technician must do?  In addition, how about installing a better graphics card while I am?  It currently has an integrated approach.

Any help is appreciated, so thanks in advance.

Graphics on laptops are usually soldered to the motherboard.  Laptops, when it comes to critical components, are generally locked in this configuration.  Some components, such as the processor, may be possible, but it is not an easy task.

This guide by erico, one of community experts, answers a lot of questions about the hardware upgrade in a notebook.  This may be worth reading, if the upgrade of equipment is something that you are interested in.

Unlike desktop computers, laptops are not really designed to be upgraded.  This is largely due to how the laptop has cooling in mind.  More powerful components will generate more heat and the initial design of cooling (fans, heat and air sinks) may not be enough to handle the extra heat being generated.

It really looks like that this laptop does not what you're looking for.  The graphics card is something that is usually not extensible/now, and it does not appear that this unit has the architecture required to support the option of disk cache.  Just to add some clarification, the architecture of disk cache usually relies on a RAID configuration to accomplish this task. Since the RAID (Intel RST) driver is missing from the download page, it seems that this device does not have RAID capacities.

If the startup speed is something you are looking for, the upgrade of the disk as a whole to a standard SSD can be the best option for your needs.  However, watching a new laptop can be the best option if you want to also material improved, such as the graphics card.

This laptop comes stock with a cache of WSSD 32 GB drive.  Looks like ultrabooks include a cache drive that I looked at four different large and each had a disk cache included.  They do not have the list in the specifications of the laptop, but it was listed when I chose the option of customization.  However, more than likely ultrabooks won't the video card you are looking for because of the compact size that ultrabooks are designed.  The desire line generally has most of the options for video cards.

  • HP Pavilion DV6 6053ea - SSD SATA III HARD disk? & HARD drive space gone?

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion DV6 6053ea. It works fairly well, but I think I have an SSD would really speed up the loading of programs and start etc. I'm not so sure that the upgrade. I read on a thread if I had Port SATA 1 6 Gbps Supported or SATA Port 0 6 Gbps then my cell phone was good for SATA III. Is this the case? Joined a program hwinfo32 image, can you check if my phone would support SATA III?

The other issue is my HD. My laptop says I have 750GB HD coming to about 700 GB after formatting. But my laptop seems to have only a total of 350 GB with all sectors added together. Where is the space?

    Hello

Yes, your laptop has 2 ports SATA 6 GB/s (SATA III) most likely the hard drive and an optical drive are connected on it. There are also 2 SATA 3Gbps ports but not in use, I guess.

The other issue is that there are 4 partitions but the partition 0 is strange and shouldn't be there. There should be a small boot for Windows partition (for BitLocker etc.), drive C: with Windows, D: drive with a partition recovery and partition Tools HP QuickWeb and some diagnostic utilities. It seems that the recovery partition is missing, the C: drive has been decreased and then created a small partition at the beginning of the hard disk. Take a look at disk management in administrative tools in the control panel this partitioning is on the hard drive.

  • Pavilion dv6-1030us: there is no hard drive

I have a dv6-1030us which today would not initialize, said that no boot device and the hard disk do not exist.  Works very well yesterday, without any hard disk problems.  I have the original recovery disks that I created when I got the machine.  When I put disc 1 one number, it says windows copies the files, then a status bar continuously appears above the copyright of microsoft thingy.  The status bar continues to flow as he do something and not going anywhere.  If I insert recovery disk number 2 nothing happens, even if I insert the disc number 2 and try to restart.  Any ideas or is it time to go shopping

It seems that the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 320GB hard drive you can use a 500 GB hard drive but not a hard drive of 250 GB. The main problem you will have to avoid is that latest hdds Advanced Format (AF) will cause major problems and probably a return for Vista recovery disks.

  • I lost HP pre-installed for HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx laptop software

My laptop won't suddenly continue getting started, the screen would go black, so I had to control by a computer technician. He made a check disk on my laptop and updated updated my OS from VISTA to Windows 7. And since he only did a custom install of the operating system has said, the previous contents of my C drive was transferred automatically to a folder called "windows.old". My laptop is now very well and is available at the start but the PROBLEM IS THE ALL THE HP SOFTWARE that WERE PREINSTALLE BY the ENTERPRISE have BEEN LOST. Among software/applications that have been lost are the HP Total Care Advisor, HP Webcam, Bluetooth, HP MediaSmart etc. and I failed also create a before recovery disk so I don't know how to get back them. Please help me where or how I can restore/get/download these software/applications.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance to those who will help you. ^_^

Here are the specifications of your laptop of HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx and a link to the Software page and drivers of HP dv6-1245dx. You can find many, if not all, the factory included software and drivers for Windows 7 on this page.

According to what has been formatted during the installation of Windows 7, you may be able to locate and use the HP Recovery partition to create the recovery disks, if she is still intact. On the possibility that the recovery partition has been erased the HP Recovery Kit is "Vista Premium SP1 64 b + Supp 1 Recovery Kit". This can be ordered via the software and the driver for Windows Vista 64-bit page, but it seems to be down at the moment. Contact the customer service HP for another way to order the discs.

The tech fair "redevelopment" during the installation of your plant operating system seems a bit dodgy to me. Please make sure the tech you supplied with the disc of Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 7 COA and corresponding product key.

  • Ports USB 3.0 on HP Pavilion dv6-6015tx laptop computer

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6015tx-Notebook that I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 (transcript).
Now my problem is that when I connect my USB 3.0 drive to my laptop the transfer speed is not more than 40-45 Mbps. So, help me and tell me which two ports are USB 3.0 ports in my laptop (that I'm not sure about that).
Earlier, I used to get the speed of transfer of 90-95 Mbits / s, but after a few deiver updates and do not know what it has reduced.

The usb 3.0 ports will be a symbol of the SS (superspeed) marked next to the USB symbol.  You need to install the usb 3.0 for Windows 8.0 driver (if available) for the performance of usb 3.0. I'll check to see if it is and provide a link.

There is no driver for windows 8 usb 3.0 available for download. You may need to install Island version Windows 7 in compatibility mode. It may also be available via Windows update.
