  • HP Pavilion dv6-6b56er and Windows 7 x 64 Professional

    Hello.

I bought Pavilion dv6-6b56er with pre installed Win7 x 64 Basic, which is not convenient for me, because of its lack of features. So I made a full backup of the hard disks in the Pavilion and removed all software it. Then I installed Win 7 x 64 Pro and facing difficulties regarding the drivers of USB 3.0. Everything else works fine. I know that HP is not responsible for all of the experiences with the software that is not pre-installed, but I have a few questions.

First of all, should what driver I install to ports USB 3.0 flag? To the download page, I found three different options:

    1 Renesas.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-99763-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&...

    2 NEC.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-100224-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...

    3 fresco.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-102204-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...

    and

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-100237-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...

The first two were installed (I mean they CAN be installed), the third - not at all settled. So what is the reason to put it on the download page?

We're crazy. When you try to install the package with driver NEC, installation master tells you, that it is pilot of Renesas. There therefore no NEC drivers on the download page at all. Why I paid so much attention to it? I installed Everest, so I know what driver is needed. He tells me that I "NEC uPD720200 USB 3.0 Host Controller". Thus, there is no driver available on the download page for NEC chipset and we have NEC chipset inside.

During this time, Windows Support Center offered some NEC USB 3.0 driver (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47677.exe ).

    So, who's right?

The second question. If attempts to connect to the USB 3.0 a compound device (e.g. usb hub), then in "devices and printers" appear strange devices with the label "no data". If Renesas driver has been installed then ' USB 2.0 hub "appeared, and so Windows proposed NEC - then «NEC Electronics USB Hub» The County of strange devices depend on the number of devices connected to this unit composed. It's my main problem - these strange devices.

So I came to a dead end. Any ideas to fix this?

    Any response will be appreciated.

PS. Sorry for my bad English.

The Recovery Manager is indeed on the hard drive. The version that is on the dvd discs doesn't have as many options as the original get the version of the partition.

If you use recovery factory reset it will install all the original drivers and also recreate the recovery partitions. After finishing of the recover and have restarted the PC, you should be able to use the F11 key to access the hard disk again.

You will need to reinstall the UEFI utility using the download from the section web software support and drivers under utility-tools. Given the usefulness of UEFI hard disk is a good thing.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-3190sl drivers for windows 8

Hi guys, I want to hp Pavilion dv6-3190sl drivers for windows 8, can someone help me?

Try this link to see if your model has been tested with Windows 8, and if there are drivers available:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware-e-g-Windows-8/BD-p/hardware

I ran to your model and it is said that HP has not tested, which means that no specific driver Windows 8 have been posted.

You did the upgrade of Windows 8? Most of the drivers Windows 7 good times works or Windows 8 will just install a driver. Some specific items like QuickLaunch HP had trouble with Windows 8, but you can probably find drivers for everything you have and help you here.

    Hello.
I want to spend the hard drive of your laptop. Instead of the standard hard drive Hitachi 320 GB 7200 RPM SATA 3 Gb / s, I want to put the EVO of 850 Samsung SSD 250 GB. But there, for some reason, is not determined by the system. My laptop is an SSD? I also updated the BIOS with the latest version, but it did not help.

    Hello @Elbrus,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your message and understand that you are trying to upgrade the drive in your computer, HP Pavilion dv6-2145er. I have searched and have met the maintenance and care guide. It will help you with that which is compatible with your laptop. If a computer supports SATA SSD should work as long as it brings together the same or more memory than the original drive.

  • Pavilion dv6: upgrading RAM for HP Pavilion dv6

    Hello

I want to upgrade the memory of my laptop. It has 4 GB (2x2gb). I want to move to 8 GB or 16 GB, if possible. I found some RAM modules on newegg.com such as this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139976 - I wonder if it will be compatible with my laptop. Here are some features of the system:

-Model: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

    -Processor: Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz

    -RAM: 4 GB

    -System type: 64-bit operating system

You do not give us the model exactly but dv6 with processors Intel Core gen 2d max to 8 gigs. 3rd and 4th generation can take 16.

The type of memory that you have linked works perfectly... but not the 2 x 4 GB modules, 8 modules of concert. Also note how the picture shows 8 black blocks on the side of the memory... get the modules like this, not with 4 blocks. The speed is correct. DDR3-1333.  Let us know if you need help most.

  • Pavilion dv6 1108sl: Pavilion dv6 1108sl - need for new cables sheet FFC

FFC 6pins and 9pins ribbon cables that connect the power button and the audio controls on the keyboard to the motherboard are broken.

Can you give me the exact specificactions to get new cables, as they are not presented in the shop "of HP spare parts?

If you look here, there is enough of several alternatives: http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/cable-assemblies/flat-flex-ribbon-jumper-cables/1573391

I know that they are 6pins and 9pins, but apparent what the length, waist length, thickness, style of endpoints, etc.?

This forum is my last hope, as the official support of HP is inadequate emberassingly (those incompetent have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, or the ability to speak in an understandable language without automatic translators!).

These are the parts you need:

    (2) the switch cover (includes LED card and cable) Moonlight White (replaced by 571747-001 on certain models) Onyx 512829-001 001 518110 Moonlight White (replaces 518110-001 on certain models) 571747-001 Espresso Black (replaced by 571757-001 on certain models) 518790-001 Espresso Black (replaces 518790-001 on certain models) 571757-001

    (3) the power button for computers with a discreet graphics subsystem memory (includes cable) 512835-001 of the power button for computers with memory of graphic subsystem UMA (includes cable) 512834-001

HP does not identify the cables as a separate part number, unfortunately, and I doubt you'd find anyone who wants to sell it like that.

Here is for example the Commission affects the cable on eBay:

These guys have a lot of tips power button so perhaps you could talk to them by sending just a cable or even a picture.

After back and let us know the color of the switch cover you need and maybe found, too.

  • Pavilion DV6-6b47dx: BATTERY FOR MY LAPTOP

    I don't know exactly what battery should I buy. In particular, I wonder if it's a 6 o 9-cell battery.

    Thank you!

Here are the parts of the repair:

    (17) to the battery: 9-cell, 100 Wh, 3.00 - Ah Li - ion 636631-001

    6 - cell, 62-Wh, 2, 80 - Ah Li - ion battery 593562-001

    6 - cell, 55 Wh, 2, 55 - Ah Li - ion battery 593554-001

You can use a 9 cells or one 6 cells. The 9-cell as you could find, has a much longer duration but is physically more grand and bulges in the envelope a little. I get still and always the highest battery capacity I can buy.

Real 9elements eBay shipped from the United States

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/new-genuine-original-HP-laptop-battery-11-1V-93Wh-9-cell-MU09-636631-001-/171328160957?PT=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27e3f444bd

This is commonly called the MU09 battery and is probably the most common battery HP on the market with the 6-cell MU06... compatible with many laptops HP from 2-4 years old so very popular. $45 shipped is a good price, but if you search around on eBay and online otherwise you could possibly do a bit better.

  • HP Pavilion DV6-6C05EW (A7Q77EA) drivers

    Hello

Anyone know where I can find drivers for HP Pavilion DV6-6C05EW (A7Q77EA) for Windows 7 64-bit?

This model is not listed on any page of HP drivers.

    Greetings

    Szymon

    Hi, Szymon:

I looked at the specs of your laptop and you should be able to use all the drivers of this model on the link below.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063 & LC = on & CC = US & DLC = in & sw_lang = & Product = 5214919 #n294

But first, you have to go on the AMD website and download and install the AMD chipset driver and restart.

    The first file listed.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows 7-64

HP does not include the chipset drivers for one of their notebooks to consumers equipped with AMD processors for some reason any.
