    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A500 - 19 X with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition. It came with 4 GB DDR3 1066 MHZ RAM. Can anyone let me know the maximum supported RAM for this hardware configuration and OS.

    Kind regards
    Vivek

    Hey Buddy,

You can answer this question yourself!

I checked the specifications of this laptop on the Toshiba site and you can upgrade the RAM 8 GB. Therefore, you (1 066 MHz) DDR3 RAM and two 4 GB modules. They should be the same manufacturing to avoid problems of incompatibility.

  • HP Pavilion e033tx-15 taken Maximum supported RAM

I intend to buy a 15-e033tx Pavilion. Main use would be for software development. Client and the server end development involving heavy stuff like Oracle 12 c and WebLogic.  Also for casual games and movies. I would be grateful if someone could answer the following questions. I tried the net but found no reliable answers.

    1. What is the maximum amount of memory supported? (he would support 12 GB?)

    2. I've seen complaints on issues related to the use of the features of ATI dedicated graphics. Are there any known issues?

A quick response would be much appreciated.

It can take 16 gigabytes of RAM. And I would not be inaccurate to say there has been no problem with switchable graphics. Many people have bad especially after a Windows 8.1 update. I think this is generally a problem of the user, since the switchable graphics use is slightly higher than the capacity of the average user.

  • Upgrading RAM for Dv6-3206AX? Maximum supported RAM

    Hi all

I am in need to upgrade my memory of's laptop (DV6-3206AX). At the present time it is 4 GB and I thought to upgrade to 16 GB.

The reason for this upgrade is, I work as a developer and use many technologies and software requiring a huge memory tell SharePoint, SQL Server, DMS systems. I tend to play with these technologies on my laptop and of course to learn and build solutions. Now 2013 SharePoint requires more memory, I would need to increase the memory of my laptop.

My concern, I am not sure weather my laptop wouldn't support 16 GB or not? If so, then this high memoery would result in additional heating.

    Configuration of the laptop

    • AMD Phenom II N970 (4 c, 2.20 GHz/4 x 512 KB / 3.6GTs)
    • 4 GB RAM DDR3
    • 500 GB SATA HARD DRIVE
    • DVD +/-RW double layer with LightScribe drive
    • 15.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) LED backlit BrightView
    • AMD Radeon HD 6550 (discreet, dedicated 1 GB)
    • 10/100/1000 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN
    • Dolby Digital Audio Advance with speakers Altec Lansing, Webcam, media card reader
    • 1 x HDMI, 1 x VGA, 3 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB/eSATA, 1 x RJ-45
    • AC adapter, battery, power cord
    • (Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed) Windows 8 Professional upgrade.

Any person who has knowledge or have already tried on similar systems, share your experience.

    Thanks in advance.

You have 32 bit Vista OS (can support max ~ 4GB RAM)

Your computer laptop support up to 4 GB of RAM MAX - so even if you install OS 64-bit, your motherboard only supports up to 4 GB in the first place.

You can replace a 1 GB of RAM from the slot with 2 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 667 MHz SO-DIMM SDRAM, but the cost of RAM will be huge compared to the performance & capacity that he proposed as these types of RAM (DDR, DDR2) are not used in recent laptops & they are 'very precious' for - $ 100 for a key 2 GB DDR2.

OK I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre A55 8705-CTO and I just wanted to know if anyone knows if its supported maximum RAM is 2 GB or 4 GB because it's confusing me forever and I want to update my RAM (1 GB is too slow for Vista on my machine).

And I checked lenovo and there are 2 Web pages various information about my computer that confused me because I told 2 GB is the maximum and the other says 4 GB is the maximum:http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-65983 and http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-65975

Hello, if you use ECC memory and it works, 2 GB will be the maximum but if you use ddr2 sdram, then 4 GB is shown as Max (I have an A52 were 4 GB is the maximum.) BUT, the BIOS (I installed latest BIOS available version) recently only identify 3 GB > can also be used, due to the technical limitations! inpropper work, the IBM pc doctor application have found the 4 GB with complete identification and without any problems! Perhaps one day a new version of the BIOS will be able to handle this)

  • PAVALION 15-AU116TX: 15 - AU116TX (Maximum supported Memory) HP PAVALION

    Hello

I ordered the 15-AU116TX PAVALION notebook and I here are the questions for the upgrade of memory.

    1) there are 7 Gen Core i5 and I went through this (http://ark.intel.com/products/95443/Intel-Core-i5-7200U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz) specifications. It is clearly stated that the processor can support up to 32GB of RAM.

-When I checked with the public support they told me that maximum supported memory is only 16 GB.

Can you please clarify on this?

    (2) if I install additional memory (whereas it will take over 32 GB, I intend to add 16 GB of additional memory) my warranty is void?

    (3) what is the configuration of the motherboard with above laptop?

    Kind regards

    Ankur

    @ankurtr

Your laptop has only 2 slots of memory and the memory bus is designed to support the 16 GB.

If you have a laptop computer with 4 slots "as a Dell M6600' you can have up to 32GB.

Ark is to give the max, that the CPU is designed to not the advice of different systems.

If you have a desktop computer with the same processor and 4 slots you could then add the 32 GB max.

  • Re: By Satellite A200-10w supports RAM PC2 - 6400 DDR2?

    HI guys,.

    Please I want to know is my [toshiba a200-10w | CT_ID 127560 = http://gulf.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?LNG=13&service=AE&PRODU & DISC_MODEL = 1] supports RAM DDR2 PC2-6400 memory, because I need to update my ram but all what I found on the market is DDR2 PC2-6400.
I already had 1 module 2 GB DDR2 PC2-5300 installed, so if I get 2 GB DDR2 PC2-6400, it will run or not?
And if it will work the feature dual channel will be work?

On the HARD disk, what is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive that I cannot in stall in the same model because I have 1 TB, so it will work?

PS: my OS is windows 7 Professional...

    Thanks a lot guys...

    Hello

The laptop supports Intel® 945 GM chipset.
This chipset supporting 533 MHz max.
So if you plug in modules of memory 667 MHz, the system would still works at 533 MHz.
The modules are DDR2 so I put t see any reasons why the dual channel does not work in your case.

    > On the HARD disk, what is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive that I cannot in stall in the same model because I have 1 TB, so it will work?

Laptop supports the SATA interface. The SATA controller has no limitation to the size of the HARD drive, so, theoretically, you should be able to use this large HDD but to be honest; I've never used this large HDD. The largest that I used in by cell phone was 500 GB and it was big enough.
However, you will need to test b e100% sure.

    Welcome them

  • Supported RAM r815 config - Dual Rank against Quad Rank

    Hello

I'm hoping to find info a bit newer on the supported RAM for a r815 configurations.

The latest info that I could find are this Date 2010 dated doc here:

    www.dell.com/.../Poweredge-R815-Technical-Guidebook2010.pdf

According to this document, there is no supported RAM configurations employing Dual Rank 16 GB DIMMS.  Specifically, note the configurations GB 256 and 512 all call for dual rank DIMMS of 8 GB or 16GB quad rank DIMM.

I want to know is this:

Is it a hardware limitation that persists today or was this sheet a function of the type and size of the DIMM modules available at time of publication?  Go QR DIMM means drop the speed of RAM at 1 066 MHz, so there is a penalty to pay for the use of QR DIMM in any config file.  Can anyone tell me for sure if this limitation still exists?

    Thank you for your time!

    TheITSource.

While the R815 did not actively support 16GB dual Rank DIMMS at the time of its release, it currently supports them. It seems that the support has been added for the 16 GB dual rank DIMMS by the end of 2011.

One thing I would check before trying to install, it's that the R815 BIOS and iDrac are up-to-date and current.
