HP Pavilion dv6265ca want to install XP

Hi Pros,

Comes to my HP Pavilion dv6265ca comes with Vista everything is OK but I still miss my XP I would install XP on this machine, I go through this forum and got what I need but my question to those who have already tried to install XP on this laptop and use have you had problem to find its driver or everything went smoothly. THK for the reading of any assistance is much appreciated.

Enter the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup. If you have the option of Bios Setup to disable the native sata mode, XP will install without problem, no sata driver needed. It will be on the tab of the System Configuration.

  • axe 2005 HP pavilion g6, I want to install windows 8. I ordered recovery discs and it's on the way

    Hello

I bought HP Pavilion G6 2005 ax. I want to install windows 8 on it.

The device comes with windows 7 Home Basic preinstalled.

He has only two partitions. One for e OS and one for recovery.

And it's annoying to use as such.

I tried to take recovery disks, but failed. And sentenced to HP recovery disks and they passed on to the

recovery disks, which is part of the way.

Installation of windows 8 is safe? can I return to Lacrosse, OS, recovery thorugh disks?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

Yes, Windows 8 will work on your laptop, and Yes, the recovery disks will restore your PC to its factory condition.

If the installation program is still available, it will be to the latest version. No updates (no updates) would be necessary. He would install 10.11.6.

Look under your "Purchase" tab for the El Capitan software.

CC Adobe will install on any version of Mac OS X.

  • Recovery of the Internet wants to install more recent OSX

    Hello

I'm trying to reinstall OS x on a Macbook Pro mid-2010.  I erased the hard drive and now need to reinstall. Following the advice of many threads on this site and others, I try to use Internet recovery to reinstall the original OSX (which was installed when it came from the factory). However, El Capitan is automatic and option only when I run this program. Also, it's invited me to enter my Apple ID, which, according to several sets of instructions found on the internet, including officially from Apple, shouldn't happen.  Anyone know why I am being forced to install El Capitan? Everything I read says that internet recovery is how you return to the original operating system. It is of an older machine who never ran El Capitan, and I don't want to install it if not necessary. Besides, I don't want to enter my ID if not necessary, because I intend to sell or give in the near future.

    Any help is appreciated!

    P.S. I've tried reset NVRAM.

Hmm. My first question why wipe the hard drive? Recovery would have reinstalled your current OS X, if that was your goal.

I think that as you have wiped the drive you have a backup.

I would like to restore your OSX this Time Machine backup or your clone to boot back up.

    To answer your question

To use internet on a 2010 recovery you should have to run an update of the EFI firmware at any given time. I suspect that your delivered 2010 with Snow Leopard. There is no download for Snow Leopard.

  • should I uninstall FF34.0.5 if I want to install FF37

I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit x 64. and I want to install the new FireFox 37.0a1. I don't know if I need to uninstall the old Firefox 34.0.5 before installing the FF37? How the sill, this affects things I have on the old program and should I do it or not? I had many problems with the old program.

nocturnal compilations of 64-bit for Windows are generated only for test compilation errors and are not all tests that get to other builds, so the risk that something is wrong can be very high.
Also, the Nightly build is updated daily unlike the Release version that receive an update every six weeks.
If you are not experienced in dealing with issues, then you should stay with the Release version.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions, is not compatible, in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar (or click on the"Find updates"button in older versions of Firefox) to check if there is an available update compatibility.

If that didn't help then also try to delete the file addons.sqlite.

  • I don't want to install FF 11

Believe it or not, I don't want to install FF 11. I was clicking NO on update box since he came on my machine. This morning I went down to get a cup of coffee and when I came back I got the dreaded 'blue screen '. I took out the battery, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then put the battery back in. Started in Mode safe and tried to understand what had gone wrong.

When none of the obvious, I thought that my cat had been messing around with the keyboard and rebooted normally. When I clicked on open FF, told me that 11 was downloading. The file is now sitting somewhere in I-don't-want-TI-hell and I need to know how to prevent it from moving.

Too many programs that I trust is not compatible with 11, and until they are, I do not put to level. Can someone tell me how I can fix this annoying problem... Please?

If the files have already been downloaded, then delete the files in the folder updates\0 and updates.

You can also remove active - update.xml, or even updates.xml (stores the history of update).

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)

The "Application Data" in XP/Win2K folder and the folder "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.

  • I want to install W7 on HP15J118SO, is - it possible?

    Hello

I recently bought a new HP laptop, but I'm not very impressed with Windows 8 and you want to install Windows 7 instead. I wonder it is possible to find the drivers for my HP15J118SO on W7? Anyone here who knows?

    Nice day!

    WARNING *.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a consumer computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "Configuration of the BIOS start-up secure" on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.

    or

In addition, as the hard drive is probably partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or "UEFI - USB Flash drive" options in the boot menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive", "UEFI - USB Flash drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own disc of Windows 7 SP1. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (this may take "Fast Boot" and/or 'USB3.0 Config in pre-start' DISABLING on AUTO in the BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

Pilots should be fairly easy to find, just after the Windows Device Manager "Hardware ID" (just the text string, please) for all devices missing or unknown, as illustrated in the example below.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
