    Hello

    The CPU will be fine as it is on the lower side of the motherboard. There is more compatible motherboards for the laptop. I suggest to consider an upgrade because you have to disassemble everything laptop anyway. The motherboard is probably for that dual-core (i3/i5) computer laptop and some dual core i7 chips.

    Is the part number for the original motherboard: 641485-001
    It is possible to improve this laptop with an i7 processor with dedicated graphics ATI Radeon HD6770M 2 GB RAM video card. However, it requires a different heatsink. Board reference number: 650799-001 and the heatsink: 650797-001.

  • The size of the Pavilion HP8565C battery on the motherboard

    I would like to know the number of the stack, which is located on the motherboard of my Pavilion HP8565C desktop computer...

    The part number of battery for most desktop computers is CR2032. However, most of the manufacturers do not, list in their online form, the exact type and model of battery required. Therefore, when you locate the battery, note information on the battery (voltage, chemistry, packaging and wiring part number). If possible, remove the battery and take it with you to buy a new spare battery. Try the target (electronics or jewelry), Wal-mart (jewelry or electronic), Radio Shack or a battery specialty store.

    @mbkinzey, welcome to the forum.

    Here is a page on ebay with some of your motherboards.  You must make sure that the part number for the one you choose matches your.  The reason why I recommend to replace it in kind, it is HP motherboards belong to someone who makes it possible that some of the connectors and the spreaders case will not match.

  • Pavilion 500: 6 beeps continuous motherboard when GTX 460 is installed and computer, no signal to monitor

    I recently got a gtx 460 s decision-making and wanted to put it in my computer, I have a different diet that is 700 watts and the two connectors 6-pin at the back of the computer, the card is also sitting (re-sitting several times - not the question) I also I added more than 8 gigabytes of ram to the motherboard, I tried to remove it and start the computer , but it still sounds. Also, I can't access the bios because the monitor receives no signal.

    the question I want to know is, have all the required connectors? because it seems that there is an another slot of tiny psi on the top of the card and also if my motherboard only supports the card.

  • Pavilion 15: get a new motherboard

    I need some tips to get a new motherboard for my laptop (if possible).

    Here are the specifications of my laptop:

    Model--> 15 number - e052se

    Product number--> E0Y23EA #ABV

    Operating system
    Windows 8 64-bit language

    CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT

    Intel Core i7 3632QM 2.20 GHz 49 ° c.
    Ivy Bridge 22nm technology

    RAM

    Monitor generic PnP (1366x768@60Hz)
    Graphics Intel HD 4000 (HP)
    2048MB ATI Radeon HD 8670M (HP)

    OK a few things:

    1. If you intend to upgrade the motherboard, I suggest that you buy the new more powerful laptop. Wise costs & other problems following upgrade, which is wise to do thing.

    2. all compatible cards available for your computer model laptop support max 8 GB

    3. by "more powerful motherboard", if you meant more powerful processor, the compatible HM86 supported Intel card support only i7 4702MQ processor, which will not give great performance gain compared to your current processor - both are quad core, with only slight increase in frequency turbo boost, with the same basic frequency.

    4. the best thing to do is to replace the HDD with SSD. The price will not much bother you since you are already ready for the upgrade of Council in the first place.

    You can upgrade RAM 8 GB 4 GB, put an another 4 GB with the same configuration and preference brand in another location. See manual for the latter.

    Good luck!

  • Pavilion Media Center M8400f Bios Update for Windows 7

    HP Pavilion Media Center m8400f. The Vista operating system has been replaced by Windows 7 (64 bit) a number of years.

    I've updated one of my hard drives with a SanDisk SSD (it is now my main drive with the operating system and all my files on board).

    The bios on the PC has never been updated.

    The SanDisk SSD dashboard software will not recognize the SanDisk SSD as the system has designated the SSD as a SCSI device. I need to access the bios for this change to AHCI. The current bios does not support this.

    The PC has a card mother MCP61PM-HM. There is no update for Windows 7 BIOS for that motherboard I know (updates Vista only).

    SanDisk gave me a link to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-82094-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&... that shows a card mother M2P61PM-HM for m8400f desktop PC. This Bios download supports Windows 7 (64 bit).

    Can update the Bios to download safely a card mother M2P61PM-HM for card mother MCP61PM-HM I currently have?

    Hello

    The HP BIOS update link provided SanDisk is an update of the BIOS of your PC. It is listed under Win Vista 64 bit driver downloads here.

    If you look at the site to download the drivers for your PC you'll only see driver support for Win Vista but on 2010-04-08, Version 5.29, 1.47 M BIOS updatedshows support for Win 7.

    But the problem is this: the BIOS updates must be performed using the PC operating system comes with; in your case, Win Vista. Extreme care must be exercised when updating the BIOS under normal circumstances. I would not classify your situation as usual.

    I saw others download an update of the BIOS for their PC and try to install an operating system upgraded with disastrous effects. The PC was bricked.

    Be prepared for the worst case if you try to install the update to the BIOS.

  • Adding a 3rd HARD drive to my Pavilion elite m9150f

    I have a Pavilion Elite m9150f with a motherboard Asus IPIBL-LB. I have 6 sata ports, but only 4 are currently used. It has Vista Home Premium 32-bit running 2 HARD sata drive seagate 360 with a partion recovery and 2 CD/DVD players. I would add a Seagate 2 TB sata as main drive (C) both a bigger partion (posibly update of OS in the future) 20 to 25 GB for recovery (D) copied to starting from the origanal and reformat it as a temp for videos, etc. I can do this by moving the SATAS after the cloneing and move the optical drives and see MOBO them without having to make all kinds of changes to the BIOS. Thanks for any advice in doing so.

    Hello

    If you have already two drives hard and two optical drives, then you will have a hard time to find a place inside the PC to secure the third hard disk.

    You could try to use a 5.25 "to 3.5 adapter railsand then fix them and the hard drive down inside the PC. Another option would be to expand the two ports of the vacant motherboard to the I/O back plateand use a drive external eSATA dockthat could accommodate two hard disks that are either 2.5 "or 3.5" or a combination. That would give you great flexibility for the exchange of different hard drives while appearing that they are installed in their own country.

    You should be able to use a hard drive imaging product to the new hard drive the current boot drive. If you use VISTA then I would avoid using a disc hard format model advanced unless you know for sure that the disc produced Imaging align correctly partitions. In any case, if you use VISTA then upgrade to service pack 2 and run this update Intel utility before you install the new hard drive. Utility update driver Intel Intel Driver Update Utility level Bios 5.43is the latest bios for your PC.

    I use Paragon Hard Disk Manager Suite(eval copy) to make the imagery of my hard drive, but there are other products available. Macrium Reflectand Acronis are also good products.

  • Pavilion-p6-2494ea: graphics card tips

    I have a question about my graphics card I would like to update, but do not know if my motherboard will work with her etc, my computer is a Pavilion-p6-2494ea. I'm looking to get a MSI R9 390 Games 8 g graphics card , but I don't know if it will work or I need to get anything else on the computer so that it can manage, or maybe a different model card. As I said this computer might be constomised and work with the best brands of graphics back when I got it in 2013, but it was 3 years and the cards have progressed since then. I'm a gamer and I don't know if this computer is right or if I need to look for something else. Advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

    @MW_H, welcome to the forum.

    There are two important things to consider when buying a video card: 1) the length of the card / 2) the power to carry out.

    The measures of the map in your link are as follows:

    Dimensions3.5 inches x 13.75 in. x 10.75 in.

    You need to measure the space where the map from the backplate will be installed i/o on the front of the case.  This will allow you to see if it will fit.

    The power supply unit (PSU) in the computer is 300W.  You should check the manufacturer's Web site to see how much power the card should work properly.  I love Corsair products.  I recommend at least 500W.  A modular PSU is very good for a small suitcase.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  This makes possible better flow of air which is good in a computer game.
