HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx does not start with continuous flashing capslock

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx laptop with Windows 7 64 bit that won't start or go to the Bios screen.  When the laptop is turned on, you hear the fan from the system start, start button / stop brighter lights and the caps lock button starts to Flash continuously once every three to four seconds.  The activity of the disc is also light on but with no flashing red.  No changes have been made to the laptop and it worked perfectly well a few hours earlier.  I tried the hard reset of the computer and the reinstallation of the memory cards, but the laptop would be still not start.  Any help to determine what the problem is with the computer would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx

Product # WQ861UA #ABA

It does not appear that a hardware problem has occurred.

After reviewing the document for the blink code, it seems that the processor does not have.

A defective processor can be repaired by a local PC store, but I highly recommend you contact the HP support by phone to see what options are available. HP repair center would be able to identify the appropriate components that will need to be replaced in the rare case that the test gave flashing evil code.

  • DV7-4065dx does not start?

I hope yall can help, or at least point me in the right direction!

Last night my husband gleefully used his laptop playing farmville or other silly things he does. He left it alone for like 5 minutes to eat a sammich, and when he returned, it was frozen.  He closed down the hard (holding the power button until it is turned off) and now it comes... won't start.

If you turn it on and do not press any button, he said something to the effect of "cannot start Windows. You want to run the tool (recommended) system restart or start windows normally? »

If you choose "Start windows normally", windows attempts to load, restarts and the process repeats.  If you choose "startup repair" a bar at the bottom that says "Windows is loading files", and then it crashes on a very pretty blue screen.  Not the BSOD, but a nice pretty blue screen that would be lovely if only the computer bloody actually worked.  The pointer of the mouse is on the screen and I can move the mouse around, but nothing ever happens. I don't know that I can convince my husband that this blue screen is a new farmville feature, so it will not work for me.  Here is a picture of the blue screen of awesomeness: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v206/BlindInTheMire/IMG_20110830_170410.jpg

The computer does with no disc in the drive AND recovery disk 1 in the drive. This thing is more rebellious as a teenager in anger. (That's 1 year, which is "teenage" years of computer? It should be)

Now that we have established that it start normally will not work. I tried to push buttons.  I have tried f11, and it took back me to the screen "windows loading files", leading ultimately to the blue screen of awesomeness, I can't do anything except move the mouse pointer.

I tried f9 with the recovery disk in this document, said the computer to boot from the cd/dvd drive, and once, it hangs at the BSOA (blue screen of the awesomeness. I don't know if it's the 'technical' term of the screen, but that's what I'm rolling with.)

Is there a combination of magic button or... something I can do to get this weight of paper $800 working again?  Humor all sides, I hope someone can point me at least in the right direction. My husband REALLY likes his farmville.

  • Tecra A6 does not start with battery only

    Hi all
I'm having a strange problem with a Tecra A6 I picked up recently at the refurb because it does not start with a battery only: it starts only when / sector is also connected, but eventually DΘmarrer on battery alone (and works fine) with the power cord removed shortly after pressing the power button. It's just on battery alone, I get no answer by pressing the power on button (so the power outlet must be set at this first stage or I don't get anything).

Now I'm wondering if maybe it's the battery voltage? It seems that there are 2 options for this model, a 10.8 v and the other at 11.1V. With loaded Windows and Hardware Monitor reports running the battery is at 0% wear level and cool until completely (so I don't think that the battery is faulty), but it indicates that the battery is running at * 11, 1V, * but the battery installed is actually the * model 10.8v*. Could that prevent any power on only to batteries?

More information on the model I have:
    Tecra A6-PTA60E-0EJ013EN
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 Ghz
    2 GB of Ram.

Thanks in advance for any help on this one. Essential, I would like to know is if I have a 11.1V battery to run this model correctly (and get it) on battery alone. If the voltage makes no difference so I guess it must be a weird motherboard problem and I need bother not buy a new battery.

    > Will have to buy another battery and see if the same thing happens (I'll know then if it is the motherboard), but in the meantime if anyone can let me know if the voltage is serious I would appreciate it.

To my knowledge, the batteries for Tecra A6 should take in charge 10.8V
There's piles more strong for example 5200mAh but the voltage must be the same 10.8

  • Satellite A200 PSAF3A does not start with 4 GB

    Hello

    I have a model A200 PSAF3A-0QH01N.
I've been led to believe that it supports 4 GB of RAM but does not start with 4 GB, freezes at the toshiba logo.

    Any advice?

According to THIS specification that your laptop can be upgraded up to 4 GB of RAM.

Downstairs you can also find the part number of the compatible RAM. List of the memory modules are tested and working with your laptop.

  • HP Pavilion dv7t-3000 does not start

My HP Pavilion dv7t-3000 does not start. I checked this article: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01732674

According to who, the error condition is: 'non-functional CPU.

So if I buy a new processor and disassemble the laptop and replace the processor, it will fix the problem?

Perhaps, but it is much more likely to be the motherboard. If the motherboard is bad, you can't trust the blink codes that it generates. Failures of the CPU but rarely occur. Motherboard failure happens all the time.

  • DV7-1232NR does not start

DV7-1232NR does not start. The lights above the keyboard, the dvd player makes a bit of noise, then eventually the lights Verr Num and caplock do a slow blink continuously. As I understand it, flashing for default codes flashing one to six times, and then exit.

    Hello

As you have no doubt already concluded, it would look like a significant failure of hardware, in particular given the fact that there was no change when the memory has been removed completely.  Unfortunately, the most likely component is the video chip which really means a new motherboard.

The only other possibility might be interesting to try is to remove the module WLAN (Page 51), leave the battery and try to start Notepad on the entire sector.

  • Pavilion G6-1b59wm does not start

Nice day.. I have a G6 Pavilion that does not start when you push the power button. I tried it on battery only and with the power supply cord is plugged in. And yet nothing.

Here's what I see: when the power supply cord is plugged in, the power supply next to the port light is white. I press the power button it flashes white momentarily (and it flashes F12). Nothing else happens. No other led lite, the screen remains black.

    Diagnosis steps followed:

    1. the battery was removed, and unplugged. Start button / stop for 30 seconds and reconnected. Nothing.

    2. battery removed and plugged into the wall. Start button / down stop and nothing.

3 tried a different power cord, different battery... nothing

4 removed boards from the RAM, button / Stop button... nothing

5 deleted from the hard disk (RAM yet uninstalled), button / Stop button... nothing

  • HP Pavilion p6-2054uk: HP Pavilion p6-2054uk does not start all of a sudden upward. Help, please.

I hope someone can help here?

I have a desktop HP Pavilion p6-2054uk (Windows 7 64 bit - i5, 3.00 Ghz - 6 GB of RAM) that I bought in 2012 and especially use of HP products.

By starting my PC the other day, it will not start and crashes on the HP splash screen. When you press ESC, F10 and F1 and F8, it simply changes the screen to a black screen with 7 lines of text giving the details of my PC base on this subject. It should give me other optins at this stage, but does not work.

The HP Pavilion p6-2054uk hard drive does not start even another hard drive OS I've tried from another computer with Windows 7 64 bit on it. Troubleshooting a few others, I even tried a fresh new hard drive in it with a new copy of Windows 7 64 bit to install into the CD Rom and it will not yet go through the HP start - that is abnormal screen since usually, it detects the Windows CD and install. Furthermore, fans in the PC work normal, as the eject the power of the PC CD ROM light is on too. I tried all the three available inside power cables and tried diferent nine cables sata/data and another monitor entry too, all to nothing done.

The hard drive that was in the HP Pavilion p6-2054uk when he stopped to start up is fully accessible when placed in the other machine I have. Therefore, it is still operational.

The notable thing only I did in the days before it were installing Adobe Creative Suite 6 but I do not think that it would cause a major problem like this, noting also that another hard disk OS (without Creative Suite 6 is installed) and a new facility wouldn't start either. Therefore, I am afraid a harware issue any.

What could be going on here?

Side for the second or 2 of optimism about the usual boot the PC normally makes noises, it looks like he died immediately after, suspended on the HP screen.

    Thanks in advance.

    R.
