  Hello, I hope someone here can answer a question for me. I have a 4 year old HP Pavilion dv6-1260se artist edition Entertainment Notebook PC and the hard drive died on me. I have been trading for the replacement of the hard disk and found a 1 TB disk toshiba sata hard I like, the original drive was a 500 GB. I'm a graphic designer in order to available disk space is important in a replacement player. The page of product for my laptop specification does not say if the original hard drive was a sata drive.   Hi, my HP TrueVision HD webcam stopped working a week ago. My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-6179er Entertainment Notebook PC series. Its model number is QA398EA. Product number: QA398EA #ACB. Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1. When the webcam did not work on my Skype I downloaded Youcam, but it does not detect the camera as well. Thus, neither Skype nor Youcam can see the camera on my laptop. When I looked through the Device Manager, it appeared that the imaging devices category had disappeared from the Device Manager list. I tried for portable stop, remove the battery and press the power button for 10 seconds, as has been noted in this web site. However, imaging devices has not appeared. When I click Add legacy hardware (in the Device Manager Action menu) imaging devices appear in the list. However, computer does not detect the TrueVision HD driver, it detects some other driver out of place and combine it with imaging device. Looks like one of the two options: either driver webcam has been removed from the computer or a hardware problem with the camera. Is it possible that I can download driver HP TrueVision HD camera in my computer to see if it is a driver problem or hardware? Appreciate your help in advance. Thank you.

  The generic Webcam driver is part of the operating system and not available for download. Looks like it's a hardware problem with the Webcam. • HP Pavilion dv7 - 3188cl: HP Pavilion does not connect to Internet (resolved)

  I recently got a HP Pavillion Entertainment, model number dv7 - 3188cl, for me to use for a class at the school by my uncle. Before the recovery, everything worked perfectly well. My uncle asked me to reset the computer, so we used the recovery disks that wiped the hard drive successfully but then refuses to reinstall the operating system. Instead of getting another set of recovery disks that I've used a Windows 7 install disc to reinstall the OS and he did so successfully with one flaw, the laptop does not connect to the internet.

  I tried to connect via ethernet and it does not find my WiFi network. I suspect his lack a driver and checked for drivers on the HP site but he said that there is none. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if there is no driver for this I would be grateful if you could tell me where to download from.

  I bought my computer in 2011 at Bestbuy. In this computer factory settings had various applications, HP, HP Recovery manager, etc.

  Recently, last week my computer was attacked by malware and therefore, I had to restore my computer by using the recovery HP (Rebecca.exe) Manager. Meanwhile, windows offered to updgrade to 10 Windows. My computer is compatible, and that's why I decided to upgrade. Unfortunately, Windows 10 did not work too well with my computer, and so I contacted Windows Support team. They have reinstalled Windows 10 in my machine and remove the function back to Windows 7.

  Support of Windows 10 team could not solve the problems in my computer. I then asked to downgrade to windows 7. With their downgrading to Windows 7, I had to get all the drivers to make my computer function again. However, I do not have original HP and Applications settings my computer had when I first bought the computer.

  Is it possible to install all the parameters of HP and Apps? I tried to install HP Recovery Manager, however, when I do, it says "Softpaq does not apply to the system, no installed HP Manager."

  Help, please! My computer is running slowly. What should I do?

  The best way to make your PC work again in Win7 is to do a factory restore using the HP recovery media.

  It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

  There are 2 possible solutions to install the Bluetooth driver.

  You can install 'Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth software and driver' and see if the bluetooth appears in Device Manager. If this isn't the case, please unisntall it and try with ' Ralink/Motorola Bluetooth Adapter Driver.  You can find these drivers in this link:

  Select the option "expand all" and with ctrl + f search for bluetooth.

  Hi all

  I have a hp Pavilion dv7-6b55dx hard drive failed.  Fairly easy to install a new hard drive, but its been a bit more difficult to find any kind of information recovery disk.  The laptop has a hand, and we only had a very short time. Ever created of my own restore disks (I know, I know).  It used Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

  I can't find anything on the HP site regarding recovery assistance, its seems that my camera is no longer supported.  I spoke with Microsoft, although the Windows product key is always on the computuer itself, they said I have to buy a new operating system on their part.  And then even after that, I guess I would have to update the other pilot material as well and may require some sort of recovery disk?  I've been on the HP site, it doesn't seem to be another option to pay to speak with someone, and at this point, I'm afraid that I would pay to hear that there nothing more they can do.

  If you can't tell from my post, I'm not the most computer-savvy person.  I searched online for ideas and found no too.  Most other suggestions are a few years now and do not seem to apply more.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  I have a DV7 6179us and never had any problems until about a month or two when it became super slow (it's almost impossible to even type). So yesterday, I formatted and did a clean install of Windows 7-64 bit. I tried to download the drivers from the HP support site, but the page won't display them. He just keep loading indefinitely.
