• Pavilion DV7-3060us: BIOS restore file "not a win32 application invalid" (Pavilion DV7)

  I have an intermittent (about 19 times out of 20) on a Pavilion DV7-3060us BIOS failure.  After that you press power, the fan and the light turns on, the screen remains black and lock/num lock flashing twice, pause, flash twice, etc..  Sometimes, the computer will boot normally to Win7.   Near as I can understand, I need to reflash the BIOS.  I downloaded the image file winflash/BIOS (SP47531.exe) the drivers and software page, but when I try to run it, I get a "...". not a Win32 valid request"message.

  Any advice on how to get this file to run it, or another method to solve the failure of startup issue, would be very much appreciated.

  So much worse... apparently the problem is I downloaded the file through Chrome.  Downloaded with IE on another machine, recorded on a USB key, it connected the USB on the machine of problem without difficulty.  Does not seem to have solved my problem starting, but the 'valid not a Win32 application' error has been resolved.

  If you had installed the sata driver provided, model you will need an additional step to work around the error ACPI by pressing F7 seeing (press F6 if you need to install a third-party RAID or SCSI driver displayed).

  My computer is really noisy and breaks down a lot, I discovered online that this could be resolved by updating the BIOS. My version is F.02 03/10/2011. But the problem is that my computer is too old for the HP site to provide me with updates compatible with Windows 10 drivers. How can I update my BIOS?

  Thank you for your answer, I'll try to clean the fan in this way.
  With respect to the update of the BIOS, I chose a version for my computer and Windows 7 that I used before.

• Example: Pavilion dv7-4142eo: Bios can not find my new SSD

  I used http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/systemscanner and chose the SSD which should be usable in my laptop

  MX100 crucial SSD 512 GB 2.5 "7mm.

  I have used Acronis and saved my old system to a 3.5 500 GB that I put in an Icybox with esata.

  (Another method may be to use usb2 and clone the HDD of old to the SSD but with acronis and usb2, it would take 5 to 6 hours and so I have not tried this.)

  The Acronis cd boot I found the SSD and Esata and restored the backup of the old harddrive (from esata) for the SSD.  It seemed to work fine, but when I tried to start without the boot cd, I got the message "insert a boot disk".

  The I looked in the bios and could not find any hard disk (SSD).  Now, I'm out of ideas and hope for help here.

  My prosessor is AMD Dual Core IIP340 2.20 GHz prosessor.

  I solved the case.

  Method:

  1. 2010 upgrade to the latest bios

  2 SSD connected with usb2 laptop.  The driver has been installed.

  3. Acronis used to start the cd

  4 SSD equipped laptop thei

  5. connection with the old HDD Usb2

  6. start with the acronis cd

  7 cloning in the menu of acronis (from hard disk SSD) stop when finished

  8 turn off again the og boot cd

  Now I have 7-8 seconds before you see the password field and another 7-8 seconds before the end of the beginning.  5 sec to close.

  Go to support and drivers for your model and download and install the card reader driver.

  Normally, the card reader driver is listed under the category of storage on the driver download page.

  That's the best I can do without knowing the number of full model of your PC.

• HP pavilion dv7 2050ev missing drivers on windows 8.1

  Hi all

  Recently, I upgraded my laptop from 5 to windows 8.1. After all windows etc updates, I realized that 5 devices were not recognized in Device Manager.

  By accessing the properties > details and choosing the hardware ID I found the drivers for two of my previously "unknown devices". Now, they work perfectly.

  If, for these other 3 devices, I am still unable to locate the required drivers.

  The identifiers are:

  (1) PCI\VEN_197B & DEV_2382 & SUBSYS_3624103C & REV_00

  (2) PCI\VEN_197B & DEV_2383 & SUBSYS_3624103C & REV_00

  I appreciate that you try to connect a HARD drive via the USB port to 2.5HDD / cable SSD.  After uninstalling and reinstalling the USB root hub, you had several failures to restart, including fingerprint reader and HP LaserJet printers.

  You can try to do a Windows restore to a date well-known to acquire your fingerprint reader and the printer up and running.  If it is successful, once you have your income tax and other print material, I would recommend doing a recovery to factory.

  HP Notebook PC - using Microsoft System Restore

  You could also try to launch HP Support Assistant looking for HP drivers and software.

  You could try to reinstall the printer HP laserjet it can work also.

  Performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

  There will be an option during the recovery to back up your personal files to avoid data loss.

  Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7)

  Excellent... Thank you Daniel. That MS doesn't have the stuff, but at least it helped identify the wifi card. After the installation of sp39403 the wifi in the device manager card installs other devices - network to network cards controller real but has an exclamation point. Pilot wasn't always right. He has been identified as a series of card Atheros AR5009. I searched and found an updated driver sp42654 (tried to add shortcut HTML) and loaded. Card WiFi immediately started working.

  Success, finally. I think that everything is operational under a best Windows XP Pro instead of Vista.
