HP pavilion elite hpe-035sc: power supply wattage

Hello

I have a hp pavilion elite hpe-035sc

Product number: VS311AA

I7 870 2.9/8 GB ram/500 GB

power supply: 460w delta electronics dps-460 DB A (it has a connector 6 power pins)

I recently added an asus gtx 550 ti and it worked

I'm worried about the power supply, do you not think that it is enough

checked the power supply and I found:

max power: 460w

power combined 12va + 12vb + 12vc equal to 385 W (it does average?)

THX

It should not be any problems with the installation at all. Just do yourself the favor of not not overclocking the card.

Delta POWER supply has enough good specs for a mainstream card like the one you have installed.

    Greetings,

750ti GTX requires BIOS version 8.xx.

This card to initialize not due to lack of UEFI support in the BIOS.

Discover the Nvidia 600 series graphics cards as they will run on a legacy PC BIOS. The 600 series cards can run on a PCIex16 Gen1 slot. I have not checked this.

I've seen information indicating that some AMD manufacturers ship AMD cards with the ability to switch between legacy and UEFI BIOS.

Check out it at Sapphire Tech.

So these four cards do not work when it is combined with adequate food on a legacy BIOS PC with a PCIE x 16 Gen2 slot.

The PC can have only one slot PCIex16 Gen1. The cards are not compatible in this case.

You will need to check the prospective: graphics card power and the dimensions of upgrade to check both will fit your turn.  We must also find a graphics card that runs on a slot PCIex16 Gen1.

    See you soon!

You can use a SATA-III HDD but the 785G chipset only supports SATA-II. You won't see any difference, and the SATA-III is backward compatible. You have a 300W power supply. You can put in a better and with a minimum 500 or 600 watt PSU, you can install any videocard, pcie 16 x which will be in good physical shape. In retail offices, there is simply not as much space as in a custom build Tower and best video cards these days are huge things two locations. Don't forget, it fits with room to spare, or you will have problems of air circulation.

No, the GTX 950 requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  There is no way to update the motherboard in the UEFI.  Latest video cards do not for UEFI were the GTX 660/670.  I suggest that you choose a manufacturer and contact their Technical Support to help them choose the best card for your system.

You will also need to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  It is only 300W.  Most newer cards require at least 400W to work properly.  Although status map specifications at least 300 w, members reported that they had at least to 400W.

A PNY gtx 950 should physically be in a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f? I already know that I have to upgrade the power supply, but before shelling out more money, I figured I would see if anyone knew if the card fits?

    KKingotu, welcome to the forum.

The problem you will have with the GTX 950 is, it requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on February 5, 2010.  There is no way to update the UEFI BIOS.  You can contact Technical Support PNY to see if they have a VBIOS update for the video card that will work with your motherboard.

Meanwhile in the space provided, you can measure e/s rear plate on the front of the computer case to see if any of the components.  In addition, it is a wide double card (two locations).

Hi, my system is supplied with the card mother MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E! I'm trying to see if there is an update available to the BIOS before updating my video card for GTX 970.  I already upgraded my power to 600 W for the 970. My current version of BIOS [according to Windows system] is American Megatrends Inc. 6.07 date 19/05/2010. Please help me find where I can get an update of the bios for my motherboard.

    Right now I'm really confused!

After reading the return of Best Buy Canada policy [which gives me 14 days to return my purchased GPU]. I decided to go against the advice I got from this thread and another HP forum.

I bought the Zotac GTX 970 at Best Buy, thinking it could be a very small chance that it will work, and if it does not work I have he's coming back!

To my surprise after installing it, it started no problem! I installed the latest drivers from the website of Zotac and then rebooted the system, but still no problems!

I ran all the points of reference 3-DMark, more than twice with no problems! [which is about 7 times faster than my ATI hd5770]

    Here are my results: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6457066

I played a few minutes with the deity: sin of origin with ultra graphics to 80 FPS and still no problem!

I also played a few minutes with supreme commander2 [game 2010 year] at 60 FPS and still no problem!

I close on my computer about ten times, just to make sure that the system is stable and still no problems!

Here are two pictures of my information system showing that I run the version of the BIOS HP 6 and the GTX 970!

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps

    Hello

I have a 'HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 590uk Desktop PC' and seeks to update the graphics card - what is the maximum power of the graphics card can I install? The 420 has a request of 50W - would I be able to switch to a 660GTX to 150W?

    Hello

The HPE-590uk PC has a 460 watt power supply with a 1 connector PCI-E 6-pin power supply. When considering a graphics card, it is always best to consider the recommendation of power supply as indicated by the manufacturer of the graphics card.

There are a lot of different brands and models of the NVIDIA GTX 660.  The reference of the models are rated at 140 watts to several do not require a 450 Watt power supply.  Looking for a model that is 9.5 "or less in length.

  • The upgrade of the video for my desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210y PC

Yes, I have two questions about my PC.

First, on the technical card for desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210y PC, it shows a power 300 watt yet looking at the minimum requirments for the video card from the factory it require a 400 Watt power supply and the fact of the data sheet does not show the power suppy manufacturer he was wondering has.

Second, I'm looking to upgrade the video card and I was wondering what the card would be a good replacement for a game without having to replace the power supply but if I have to adapt what power? (With a ceiling of $ 200 - $350 on power supply)

Yes, the power is 300 watts. Minimum 400 watts are for full power to retail graphics cards. The map provided by HP was custom designed to meet the requirements of power weaker and is is not the same as a retail card. HP has traditionally used Bestec and Lite-on original UPE.

To install a gaming grade graphics card, you will need to replace your power supply. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are highly recommend and forum favorite. Further, these power supplies are only slightly larger than a block of power SUPPLY HP stock and are known to adapt. Power supply Idleness will put you back on the $50 - $75. • Video card (and others) upgrades for a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-510 t

Hello... First of all, I just want to say that these forums have been an invaluable resource for me in my quest to upgrade my current PC. A lot of good answers and always at the top of the Google search results, you guys have been so super helpful. Without a doubt a very different experience from what I got when I bought my PC from a company that rhymes with 'hell '.

I have a few specific questions, however, and thought I'd throw them to let experts weigh... For the record, I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t with all parts except for the video card, which is currently an ATI over-pants v4800. I am running three monitors 20 "(1 DVI and Display Port 2 at present, but who can be flexible). Also, I don't a few moderate games (FPS, MMO) and watch a lot of Netflix...

    1. I'm certainly looking to update my video card, but I do not know what actually fits. I'm ready to upgrade the PSU as well (probably to the Corsair CX-600 recommended elsewhere on this forum), so power should not be a problem. And money is not a huge problem either, as long as the card is less than $500 or more. I've been watching some of the newer cards (like a 680 GTX or even the new 770), but I'm afraid that they will not physically fit in the case, or will be not compatible with the motherboard (which seems to be the PCIe 1.0? Or I read wrong?). So basically, my ultimate question is: what is the best possible graphics card given my case current and potentially put to level power supply, motherboard, I could use? If it's important, SLI is feasible but not more.

    2. I also intend to add additional RAM. The page on the card to my PC to the HP support Site says it takes DDR3 1600 PC3 10600, but everything that I find these days in the RAM is DDR 3 1600 PC3 12800. My mother/PC card will support the 12800 or do I have to keep hunting to find 10600 sticks?

    3. and finally, I'll also put in a Pro 840 Samsung SSD. Do you know if the motherboard compatible with the SATA connectors suitable for speeds of 6 GB? Just plug page says "SATA" and does not specify a version.

Any help you could give me on these questions would be greatly appreciated. This computer has served me well for a few years now, and I'm hoping to keep it for a few more years. Thanks in advance and have a nice day...

    Aaron

Here are the specifications of plant origin and configurable options for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t CTO and here are the specs of his card mother IPISB-CH (Cleveland). According to the specifications, the motherboard uses the Chipset Intel H67 Express that supports an extension v2.0 x 16 PCIe and 3Gbs SATAII (SATA2).

    (1) SLI is not "feasible", so no need to go there. GeForce GTX 680 cards are going to be long, perhaps too long. You need to measure the space available at the back of the case more further along the x 16 PCIe slot to determine what can be installed. You will need to resign it a notch or two... until you find one that matches. The CX600 Corsair is a great choice and fits, even if you can buy the place CX600M. The CX600M is modular and allows much better management of the cables and so the potential for a better air circulation.

    (2) with regard to memory, the State of the plug;

    Four DIMM DDR3 240-pin connectors
    Supports the PC3 10600 connectors DIMM DDR3 (1333 MHz)
    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered

Then, two sets of most of these (2 x 4 GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Kits should do the trick. You can also go to the website Crucial.com and use two of their 'guaranteed compatible memory upgrade'.

    (3) your computer supports speeds SATAII (3Gbs) and this is the best it will do. However, the SATA connector is identical to what is found on a SSD SATAIII and it should be compatible with your computer.

    Please send BRAVO

The ASUS GTX 560 should adapt and work very well. The Antec PSU is great and very likely to have problems in the space provided. It can interfere with connections to the motherboard and push against the CD/DVD discs. Please look at the Corsair CX600 instead. It is only slightly larger than the block of power SUPPLY HP stock and is known to adapt.
