HP Pavilion entertainment laptop upgraded to windows 7 and webcam is longer.

Laptop computer HP9925nr has been upgraded to Windows 7 and the Webcam is no longer find. Is disabled over Webcam because it is not compatiable with Windows 7? I updated the driver from the website, but says that the Webcam is not found.

Try to install the driver from the following link:

    Hello

Since you upgraded to Windows 7 have you run Upgrade Advisor and verify with the
Compatibility Center (for the compatibility of the device)?

    Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor <-- please="" run="" this=""> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx

Also check the Compatibility Center (for the compatibility of the device)?
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

Check with the system and peripheral manufacturers for updated drivers and many have special
instructions to help the upgrade to Windows 7. You should also check with the system
Machine to ask in their forums (if any) for known problems and solutions and support.

If the system is compatible Windows 7 AND there are drivers for your WebCam

Vista references apply to Windows 7.

You probably need to reload the drivers of the device and the camera'IF' control software
    There is for Windows 7.

    Login as an administrator.

Control Panel - Device Manager - Imaging - write down of the brand and the model of camera - double
Click on it and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who cannot do anything
that MS is far behind the drivers of certification). The RIGHT CLICK on the camera - UNINSTALL-
REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver of the camera and other partners
the camera software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If there are no Windows 7 drivers:

You can try loading the latest driver available in Compatibility Mode which sometimes
work however, it isn't anywhere near a sure thing.

Exhausted all other methods in the Troubleshoot utility above before trying these.

Logon as ADMINISTRATOR for all of them.

You can try Compatibility Mode but this rarely works on the device drivers.

Right click on the driver executable (.exe) file - select Compatibility Mode

In the drop-down menu choose XP or Vista and Service Pack (if it is the version
    "you try the drivers).

Click OK, and then let the race to see if it will install.

It also rarely works on the device drivers but it is worth trying:

Another method to try is to run the .exe (if self extraction) or Unzip (if it is compressed) to a folder:

    C:\Windows\System32 >

CD \the path to this folder as C:\User\Your user Name\Camera_Folder or something else
the path is the folder where the driver is unpacked.

So in this case it would be \User\Your User Name\Camera_Folder CD and the prompt
    look like:

    CD \User\Your user Name\Camera_Folder >

This in type at the prompt and press ENTER.

    -I - one *.inf PnPUtil

It will take a little time to respond.

If it does not (error) use the full path to the driver, for example (which can be used
    any guest):

    PnPUtil-i - one C:\User\Your user Name\Camera_Folder\*.inf

Still wait to see if it will install.

  • HP laptop laptop 15-ac047ne: computer hp laptop. upgrade to windows 10 and graphic driver problems

    Hello.

I have a newly purchased HP 15-ac047ne laptop. Whenever I have let windows automatically updated, update the full operating system for windows 10, I keep losing the Catalyst Control Center as well as the AMD graphics driver (which I noticed because the adapter is gone from Device Manager.) So I ended up back to factory default with windows 8.1 and kept all the automatic updates turned off. In addition, update drivers on this unit is very annoying... so I went here because I'm tired to reset the laptop to factory settings, whenever things get screwed

    Issues;

    1. is there a simple and effective way to get the latest drivers for my graphics card? (AMD Radeon r5 m330 / Intel HD Graphics 5500) The fact that it is switchable does not seem to make the drivers from amd site adapted, so IDK

    2. why dxdiag only shows Intel HD Graphics 5500 and not AMD Radeon r5 m330

    3. should I just turn off the automatic updates (both windows and hp) to maintain the stability of my system?

    Thank you!

    akattom

We will address the latest first - blocking the MS driver updates.  Follow the instructions in the link to prevent the update of your drivers in Win10 MS: How do I uninstall and updates of block and the drivers on Windows 10

Now, as for drivers, those of AMD is unlikely to work on your PC, because they are not designed to work with computers that have switchable graphics.

The best place to get drivers is on the HP support site. The link is on the page of the HP drivers and software for your PC: http://support.hp.com/emea_middle_east-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/7771404/model/8566519

Note: If the link does not show Win10 when you open it, click change and select Windows 10 in the menu drop-down.

You must install the AMD/Intel switchable graphics high definition of the linked page.

    Good luck

  • HP Pavilion 15-p264na: upgrade of Windows 10 - recovery disk

I just bought this laptop with win 8.1 on. I want to upgrade to windows 10 and produce a recovery disk using the installation of HP, which cannot be done at once. The question is what to do first. I'm afraid that if I do first the disc, then I assume will only recover Windows 8.1, which means another upgrade to win 10, which then can no longer be available as a free update. If I do the first update, should I still the ability to produce a recovery disk? and if he will he recover to win 10?

    Hello:

You must make the recovery W8.1 media now before moving on to W10.

It will only take up to W8.1, and no matter what you do, it will only retrieve W8.1 by using the HP tool to make the drive.

Upgrading to W10 has no effect on the change of the W8.1 recovery partition.  Only, it installs W10 on the C:\ drive and makes no other changes.

Here's how I see the second part of your concern (what concerns me too).

Like you said after next July, W10 is not free, what happens if you need to restore W10 or you get a new hard drive and you have to install everything.

First of all, after you upgrade to W10, in the tool settings > activation, you can check that W10 is enabled.

I'd say you need to reinstall W8.1 and then upgrade to W10 and when you go to turn it on going because he already know that W10 has been installed on the PC before.  Microsoft maintains a database of activation which should allow the PC to have W10 still for free.

You can make a W10 installation/repair ISO disk usb flash drive, or from the link below.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Another thing I did was to create a system image of the installation of the W10 and recorded on a portable hard drive.

I did use the tool to create system image (windows 7) in the W10 system control panel option.

My plan would be to try first before anything else.  You can use the installation/repair W10 disc that you create to access the system image that you create, and I hope that will save a lot of time and effort.

You can update the image of the system as many times as you want, and it will overwrite the existing image on the laptop hard drive.

But until next July comes and goes, we can only speculate what will be the result of having to reinstall the W10.

I have a desktop computer with Vista business I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and install Vista on a laptop that has XP Pro but is Vista capable.

    Hello

If you use the Vista licence as part of the upgrade to Windows 7 you cannot use the license of Vista anywhere elsewhere

It is part of the upgrade process

    and also read this on licensing rules;

If Windows was preinstalled on your computer, Dell, HP, etc., or you bought an OEM/license disk, they are both classified as an OEM license and are not transferable.

The Windows OEM license is linked to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a retail Windows license, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

  • Upgrade to Windows 7 and would like to know if all my tablet/pen functions still work?

Original title: Windows7 and Tablet PC

I have a Gateway Tablet PC.  He who is like a laptop, not these new without a keyboard.  For some reason, she has two model numbers: TA1.0 and M280E.  At the moment it has Windows XP (gateway) Tablet PC edition 2005 Version 2002 Service Pack 3 on it.  It has a processor Intel Pentium M 1.73GHz, 1,999 GB of RAM or processor if you look in the BIOS, 2048 MB of RAM.  I think it's the RAM Max will take this particular PC.  The processor is scalable?  I know that I have contributed to a maximum of one of my doors from the other monitor has collapsed on me one day and is unusable, so I think this is one.  The ugly manual, I downloaded did not about the Max RAM, a Fujitsu 37.2 GB HD and a CD - RW Optiarc.

Because Windows XP is longer supported, no. updates (although I find it odd that a pop-up saying updates are ready for your computer is fun) and for some reason it will run is more than some previous programs I ran over it, such as MSE and Windows Media Player 11, and I don't know I'll find others.

The important question is: I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and would like to know if all my tablet/pen functions still work, since it's the main reason I want to use?  And of course running WinXP is a safety hazard as well.

I use my ASUS X54C now and you want to reset to factory settings and reformat the HD, so I want a computer to use while I'm this, as well as using his pen to create a clip art image and also many other things.  Is there anything else I should know?

The first thing to do is to check the support web site of the gateway to see if there are drivers for devices on Windows 7 for your model. If there is no record of specific device in Windows 7 listed then you will not be able to run Windows 7 correctly, or it may not work at all.

Gateway driver support web site: http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/drivers-downloads

Note: There is an "Auto Detect" option that can help you determine the right model you have.

M280 using as a guide I tried to see what is available and found only XP / Vista and Windows 2000 drivers, so you may be out of luck, but try to auto detect and see if you have Windows 7 drivers listed.

I was looking to upgrade to Windows 7 and also install a new drive.  New readers are shipped with windows 7 already preinstalled and when I change the disks, it will start windows 7.
How could I then exchange the old files to the new drive?
What is your solution the best and less expensive?  How do you do this?  Help, please.
    Thank you
    Marco

I suggest that perform you a clone of the hard drive. Seagate drives and WD offer a free version of the wizard disk.

Clone the original 200 GB drive to the new drive.  To avoid problems, has chosen a 1.5 or 1 t T drive. Once you have the clone, just install the upgrade on the new drive. All your data will remain intact, and the intact original of 200 GB drive is secure.

PS > you need a spare sata power and data leads to the clone. Look inside and see what led power is hanging loose. Then I can suggest an adapter or cable. As the DVD is IDE, (not Sata) from what I've read, you will need a Sata data cable also.

upgrade windows xp to windows 7

IM using windows xp profesional can I upgrade to windows 7 and what would be the cost? what I have to put all my files on an external drive then uninstall windows xp then put in windows 7 then put back my files? is that how its done? Thank you.

First the cost, you must know if your hardware can support Windows 7

In General win 7 should a minimum og 1 gig of ram (for 32 bit) or 2 for 64-bit, and it needs a video card 256 MB or greater.

If your less and can not be updated it may be best to start thinking about a new computer.

If the above is ok there are various offers for win 8, but make sure you buy form a reliable site of Ms.  There are a lot of current scams.

    Hello

OEM license is tied to the first machine that is installed on the OEM license dies when this machine dies.

An OEM license is not transferable.

And you need a legal edition of Windows, enabled for upgrade.

There is no use, you buy a license upgrade of Windows 8 by itself as you have to upgrade anything of in the new computer, you build...

You can buy a license of Windows 8 when it comes out later this year.

    See you soon.
