HP Pavilion g4 2029: my mouse

I just updated my laptop to Windows 10. Now, he had a few hiccups, but so far it seems to work smoothly. Of course, with the exception of access to the store and a slow start-up time. Maybe they're still working on it. In any case, my problem comes from the fact that whenever I start my laptop, my mouse will reset and turn on reverse scrolling and other other features I don't need, which are annoying for me. Synaptics is the company responsible for my mouse. I decided to stop by here to see if someone has the same problem.

I did it this way...

  • How to access the BIOS on a Pavilion Elite e9237c with mouse and keyboard wireless?

I have a desktop computer Pavilion Elite e9237 with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I tried to access the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup with no luck, and I can't access any of the other menus for the start-up eiither. I don't have a PS/2 port on my computer, so I can't get a wired keyboard and mouse. Does anyone know how to access the BIOS with this configuration?

I bought a USB keyboard and he answered in the same way... No bios access. I then studied why it did not work and discovered that it was the way in which he has been connected to the computer. I had initially plugged into a USB hub when he was not working and I moved it directly into a USB port and it works! I plugged my keyboard wireless directly into the USB port and it works too! Thanks for your help... I wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for to recommend you the USB keyboard.

  • HP Pavilion 13-a113cl: computer HP Pavilion laptop won't wake up from his sleep by the keyboard or mouse

I don't know if it is good advice to post this question in, but I'm having the same problem with two a113cl-13 laptops HP Pavilion running Windows 10 Pro (64-bit). The issue has to do with the awakening of the machines to sleep using the key on the keyboard or the mouse. I'm not having problems with them to wake up from sleep using the button of power or when I open or close them.

I checked the BIOS and power settings are not there. (Version of BIOS F.32)

I have checked boxes to allow devices to wake the computer in the management section of power without success.

I changed the Intel MEI driver with 9.5 instead of 11 which is usually installed without success.

I don't know if there is a problem with the BIOS and Windows 10 or something driver associated. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @jpk717,

    Thanks for the information!

Since you have formatted the drive, you must be unable to return to the old operating system, unless you use recovery media.  You can find your product here recovery media:

    USB - Windows 8.1 Recovery Kit 64B

You can try to use the recovery media to install the original operating system and see if the problem is resolved.  If you choose not to go down this path, you can try to re - install Windows 10, using the media creation tool.

    I hope this helps.

    Have a great weekend!

  • Pavilion p6010a - mouse frozen on startup

    Hello

I just got a NEW HP Pavilion p6010a

    OS: Vista Home Basic

    2gig RAM

The problem I have is after becomes locked for some time to turn off the PC and turn it on again the mouse, and even if I unplug the mouse and put it on another socket USB is still not recognized, there must be a few reboots before it will work again.

It seems he has not the power of the mouse at all.

The only other devices I plugged in via USB keyboard and a USB wireless adapter.

I have no idea what I should do to fix this very frustrating problem. I did have the PC for a long time to come back to the factory settings wouldn't be a problem if this will solve the problem.

I had downloaded the SP2 which I think may have the question, so I uninstalled SP2, but unfortunately this has not solved the problem.

If anyone has a solution to this, I would be extremely grateful.

    Kind regards

The problem is now resolved. There was a problem with the Wireless USB adapter (extender) cable that was causing problems with the mouse, etc... I changed to a newer cable and have not had any problems since.

  • After the upgrade to Windows 8 on a HP Pavilion dv2799: sound, video, and mouse is stuttering

My HP Pavilion dv2799 comes with Windows Vista and has always worked very well. However, after I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 32 bit, now sound, video and even the mouse is stuttering.

The laptop has a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 M GS, and my approach has been to find the correct graphics driver. However, I don't find the driver on the HP website. I thought that maybe I need to use a HP change NVIDIA driver? To remedy this, I installed the latest NVIDIA driver, 314.22, from nvidia.com.

Regarding the Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 sound that I can't find any other driver as 4.36.7.60. According to the website of Conexant, Conexant provides no drivers for PC audio products to end-users.

It can be the cause of the performance issue? How can I solve the problem?

OK, back to the other end of the scale.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 17.3 ": cannot use the buttons and moving the mouse

    Hello

I'm a pretty heavy gamer and I recently I brought a HP Pavilion Notebook with windows 10 on it, and I expect to play games on it

But the problem im getting is, if I hold one button, the mouse does not work, which, as you can tell, is unplayable.

Is there any solution to this? his v19.0.12.97 of Synaptics Pointing Device running

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I tried the following on a machine not that different to yours and it seems to work.

First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63001-63500/sp63417.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12).

Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

When you are done, reboot the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder and launch the installer of Synaptics - when this is complete, restart the computer again.

Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense, then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.

  • Problem HP Pavilion 15 left button of the mouse

Something seems to have gone wrong or goes wrong with my HP Pavilion 15 laptop.

The left mouse button doesn't seem to be completely back to its normal position on the right side of the button. It seems to be about 1 mm below where it should return to.

The button is still fully functional, the left side of the button gets to his normal position of return but the right side is certainly a little weak - there is a separate step to the right button of the mouse that touches.

The laptop is less than a year and I am consideringing it let's get back to the where I bought it, even if the button still works.

Everyone had a problem like this with the muse... buttons?

    Thank you

    Hello Nigel_S

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are concerned about the button to left click on the touchpad of your laptop.

There is a little spring under the buttons making the jump to the top, but over time, it can slide or wear out. This usually only happens on notebooks and is not exclusively limited to HP. In view of your product is still under warranty and it is definitely a hardware problem, I would suggest contacting a helpline for service options. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. • HP Pavilion G6 2225 YOU: Wireless Mouse software is not not with 8.1 Windows x 64

    Dear Experts,

    1. wireless mouse was working fine with Windows x 64 10.

After recovering to Win 8.1, wireless mouse does not work and in the display list of a manager of the device below.

"Unknown USB Device (device descriptor request Faild).

Still unable to work even I update its driver online and above description remains the same. Windows says that your driver is already installed.

2 - Wifi Wirless networks depsappear in the list on the right on the screen. So I try on and outside network key. I immediately connects to my wifi network when it appears (sometimes). It disappears if I not connect immediately. Once I plugged, it works smoothly.

    Help, please.

    @SheikhSahib:

OK, we will address the issue from a different angle.  I have recommeded a system recovery adequate using recovery media, because who would install the proper drivers - and your problem is that the wireless mouse is not recognized by using your current USB drivers.

First thing I would try is using HP drivers. I can point you to the page of software and drivers HP for your PC, but there is no downloadable USB drivers on this page.  There is a Driver and Intel Chipset Installation Utility - and it might work.

Here is the link to this page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-g6-Notebook-PC-series/5296082/model/5340257#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

Another option would be to go on the Web site of the manufacturer of the wireless mouse.  Maybe they you could download special drivers that would work.

You can try to use Windows updates to find the drivers from Microsoft deposits for your device: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139

If Windows Update doesn't give new drivers, you can pursue alternative which are described in the linked Microsoft Windows Insider community thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_devices/how-to-install-and-update-drivers-in-windows-10/a97bbbd1-9973-4d66-9a5b-291300006293

If you then run into trouble, install the drivers through Windows Update, you can try to use of Microsoft Windows Update Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter

    Good luck

  • Touchpad HP Pavilion 17 works does not after using an external wireless mouse

I have the HP Pavilion 17 laptop.  It is running Windows 8.1.  Everything worked fine until I used an external wireless mouse.  After unplugging the mouse the touchpad does not itself again.  I have therefore no pointer and no touchpad to use unless I have keep the external mouse not connected.  I tried the hard reset with the plug of the battery, unplugging, pressing the power button for 15 seconds and turning everything back on.  Still no work touchpad.  Had this happen last week and called HP because I only had the laptop for 3 days at this time here.  They had me do a system restore to an earlier point.  At this point, everything worked again and I toilet problem has been resolved.  This is why I used the external mouse always thinking that it wouldn't be a problem.  I was wrong.

Also, I've seen other posts on a different notebook that has a toggle power button in the upper left corner of the touchpad to activate/disengage, but this was not one of these.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  My next step is to call HP again tomorrow and see if someone else has another solution.  I would obviously like the ability to use the touch pad or external mouse at any time without having to restart and go through all these other problems.  Otherwise, this phone pretty may be going back to the store this weekend.  :-)

    Thank you!!

This fixed the problem! Thank you very much!! Seriously, 3 different phone calls to HP and not one of them ever talked about this easy solution!
