HP pavilion g6 2342 graphics upgrade

IM planning on upgrading my ram to 8 GB which is the maximum taken in charge and I was wondering what graphics card if they are taken in charge as well I know that the amd a8 is an apu so he manages both, but it does not take away from the total power of the processor during the handling of graphics so idk know that thereon the amd apu so correct me If im wrong would not be a graphics card to free up processing power?

Sorry for the grammatical errors in advance its 2 am and I just work so im a zombie

Hello

For the graphics, you cannot pass without a new motherboard and some other parts. For a budget machine, it is more than the af a better cost new machine.

Kind regards.

Hello Rascal, apparently, your system may be a little old to run any recent video games.

Here a link to the plug on the motherboard, and it shows the system comes with 512 MB of system memory and a maximum of 1 GB of system memory.

It also has a video feature embedded VIA with 64 MB of video card memory. It has a slot machine video AGP.

Carpet is it possible to upgrade the video card AGP, but I doubt you'd see much improved performance.

    Just some thoughts.

  • HP Pavilion 500-326na: graphics upgrade on HP Pavilion 500-326na card

Last year, I bought a HP Pavilion 500-326na, and recently, I decided that I would update the graphics card. The card that I'm looking is the nVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti. This would be consistent with (and in the form of) my computer? In addition, I'm not sure exactly how I had to upgrade my power supply, if necessary, and if you can direct me to a decent choice.

    Thank you very much.

    SJ642, welcome to the forum.

According to the Specifications of the product , the computer has an external power supply 180W (PSU).  If this is the case, you won't be able to level the video card.  The 750ti requires a power supply of at least 300 w; Some reported that 400W is needed to make it work properly.

  • HP Pavilion g7 - 2233cl: graphic upgrade on a g7

Hello, I recently had Fallout 4 and with all the settings that are turned down and Amd settings implemented, there is still enough lag and slow to play. Is there something to do to improve performance and I read on external graphics cards. Is there one who would work with G7 Pavilion?

OK good point. You have an A8 - 4500M that has a video AMD 7640 G included in the APU. You could install a 10 - 4600M gives you an AMD 7660 G graphics card. You would get a little better performance:

    http://www.game-debate.com/GPU/index.php?gid=1024&gid2=1000&compare=Radeon-HD-7640g-vs-Radeon-HD-7660g

It run better if there is memory in dual channel mode.

If you grabbed me and there is a possibility, but not a great. We'll find the A10 - 4600M for maybe $ 50 eBay and so on. If you are a mobile computer tech and can do the upgrade of processor I think that for $50, it may be worth. If you pay someone to do it and it costs more expensive like $150-200, not worth it.

  • Pavilion DV7 4272us Graphics upgrade

Hello all I was wondering if it was possible to update the graphics card for my laptop. I currently have the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370.

    Hello:

I agree in principle with BBot, however technically, you can improve the graphics if you want to go through the expense and the Exchange on the motherboard work together.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02642701.PDF

Please see Chapter 3, beginning on page 22. You could opt to change your current motherboard for the one with the HD 6550 graphics, with or without subwoofer, as the case may be.

You are looking for an amount of $438 to swap the card + your work.

IMO, you'd better sell your laptop and using the product buy one with the graphic solution you are looking for.

  • P7-1234 Pavilion: I have a p7-1234 Pavilion and want to upgrade the video card.

I have a p7-1234 Pavilion and want to upgrade the video card. I am currently the EVGA GeForce GT 610 2048 MB GDDR3. This card will work with it?

This is a power supply that will work for you:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139048

It is modular allowing you to use only the necessary cables.  This means that there is more room inside the circulation of air.  He is also a 600W which will give you extra power for the possible future upgrades.  Any block of power SUPPLY Corsair will be good.  They are fans of the quality products for a reasonable price.

  • 7387A 11... Graphics upgrade?

I'm new to this forum and here on behalf of my sister-in-law. After having spotted the different themes of the forum and paid in various manuals, I thought I would try this approach. I found Lenovo guides to be too generic. Our quest is to upgrade the graphics on its system, because children have some problems trying to play various games. If I missed the final I apologize in advance.

Its model number (as she gave it to me) is A 7387, 11. If I understand the Lenovo Web site it's a 3000 J115. Operating system is Vista. The obvious question is: graphics are upgradable on this system? The manual seems to suggest the presence of a PCIe x 16 location. (I have currently no direct access to the machine to confirm this.) A further review of the manual really does not reveal much information about the various parameters of the bios on turn off on-board graphics. In fact, I can locate no direct mention of a graphic upgrade procedure, which should really be front-and-Center. So, until I get my hands on this and so I have no surprises when I, can someone enlighten me on these 2 specific points? I will also be getting the memory but not much of a cause for concern.

    Thank you.

Well, I'll answer myself. Problem has been resolved.

The map that I chose to install required a 300W PS, installed 380W. As Lenovo has been totally absent in the BIOS information I've fumbled through it. Put the video to PEG (PCI EXPRESS GRAPHICS... and no explanation in one of the documents from Lenovo). Also from memory and installed 2 GB. Fact.

  • Pavilion AMD A8-6500: graphic upgrade

    Hi all

My son has a HP Pavilion AMD A8-6500 with Radeon HD 3.50 ghz graphics card.

It now wants to update as graphic says not good enough.

What our options are, what is implementing implement as buying a better graphics card or is it more complicated?

    see you soon

    Jason

    Hi there @Jason1966,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that you are looking for advice on upgrading a graphics card.  I'm happy to help you with this.

Please report the number of complete product from your computer. Check out the following, if you need assistance with this information. HP desktop PC - how can I find my model number, serial number or product?  Once I got that I can give you more in the way of what to look for.

In general, you should know what types of expansion slots your computer is available. More recent graphics cards will focus you on PCI Express x 16 slots and their willingness to be a version or the generation of these slots.  If the motherboard has only Gen 1.0, and the graphics card is Gen 3.0, then the card would work, but it will run more slowly he would in a slot of Gen 3.0. So you want to look at the capacity of your computer's power supply. A common value is 300 W. Higher end graphics cards will be a requirement of minimum recommended power of 400 W or more, although there are cards with a lower requirement. It is always better to have a power that exceeds the minimum value. Also related to food some graphics cards require extra power of a specific type connections. You must make sure that your diet has these connections available. Then, make sure that the card has drivers for the operating system installed on your computer, and if the card is UEFI, make sure that your system has UEFI.

If all these parameters are filled between your system and the card, the graphics card should work, but there is never a guarantee, because each computer system is as an individual, once it's in the hands of a user. You may have already installed another device that is in conflict with this card or perhaps a software which does not get her drivers graphics. So long story short, it is not easier to just buy a better card, you need to do some research.

I hope this helps clarify the issues for you and if you find it helpful and useful, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • HP Pavilion 15: Can I upgrade my GTX 970 graphics card or 980

Hi I want to upgrade my graphics card for my laptop for GTX 970 m I currently have a Radeon graphics card and Intel HD Graphics can I put my graphics?

I have a HP Pavilion 15 touch screen, CPU is Intel Core i5 4200u and Windows 8

My graphics card is AMD Radeon 8670 M 1 GB DDR3 and I want to update if I can improve my graphics card?

Replace that? It is a solid unit welded together. There is nothing to remove and replace it with something else, that's what I'm trying to say. How do you imagine this replacement is going to happen? A standard desktop video card won't slip into a laptop so what kind of thing are thinking you that you can stick in there?

15 - e020tx is the model and there a processor i7 and switchable graphics with Radeon HD 8670 so it is pretty high-end as laptops go, but it's what they are. On laptops in general in most cases, including your case, no video 'card is' to be removed, replaced or upgraded. She is soldered directly to the motherboard. There is no way to upgrade in other words.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1030 graphic card upgrade help

OK, so I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1030, and the graphics card is crap, I need to update something much better.

I know that I'll probably need a new power supply too, if anyone knows a good combo?

Also, where can I find the old graphics card and POWER supply in order to remove and replace?

I'm playing BF3, so it must be good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Zxcvbnm0, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications of the computer, there is only the embedded video.  It is integrated in the motherboard, so you cannot remove it.  It will be automatically disabled when a discreet card is installed.  Integrated video is never good for video intensive games or other programs.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you more choices of video cards.  You must measure the current PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Normally, I buy my parts from Newegg.

Here is an example of a good food:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139028

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I recommend you to stay at 9 "long or less.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

Here is an example of a video card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150561

The PSU is where the power cord is connected.  If you do upgrades, it will help mark the wires of the PSU to make sure that you connect them correctly.  The connectors of the motherboard must be labelled, and more, the wires on the new power supply.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps
