HP Pavilion g6 Notebook Windows 8 flash drive system backup and recovery

I have a HP Pavilion Notebook PC g6 with an operating system of Windows 8. I want to create a feedback system for recovery with a flash drive. The HP support assistant says that a minimum 22GB flash disk is required. I bought a 32 GB Cruzer flash drive and tried to create my recovery disk. Although my computer recognizes the device, the HP Wizard not to light up when I pushed the flash drive option and the position of the screen continued to read insert the media device. It was'nt by registering or by recognizing that I had inserted device. In one of the pages HP I was reading, he said not to use a widows compatible flash 8 player! I don't understand. What should I do? What kind of flash drive I should get that would do the job and what size of capacity? Please, please help me someone!

Hello

The problem is caused by the application Recovery Media Creator not recognizing flash drives that show, like 'Fixed readers'-, it will only recognize the flash drives that appear as a "removable disk.  In the example below, Dave (G) shows as a reader fixed and won't work, while removable disk (H) will work.

Unfortunatelt there is no totally reliable method to predict what flash drives are suitable, but thanks to @erico the following flash drives known to work.

The team group F108 64 G

PNY Turbo 3.0 - 32 GB

Lexar Jumpdrive M10 sure 64GB USB 3.0

Patriot anger 3.0 32 GB

  • HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC: Possible to restore without CD and recovery drive?

I have a HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC for sharing with my little cousin when he plays his games online. The space on the drive (C :) was almost released because of the many games that it has installed. As such, it has deleted the recovery disk (D :). However, now I need to reformat my computer as it is way too slow with all installed games. How can I proceed without a recovery or a recovery CD/DVD disk?

Is it possible for me to buy a CD/DVD somewhere or download entire file recovery on a page online?

Thank you and have a nice day ahead!

    Hello

Thank you to write back, I do apologize to let you Kow that if the unit was purchased in the USA or at the Canada Shipping of CD would be the only country, the only thing I could think is to have the CD delivered to a person in the United States or the Canada that can send the CD in the country that you are. Other than that, I would recommend instead you to get a retail version of the operating system of any local store and install this file on your computer.

Received a UN expected error in the web search, actully screen off for a few seconds before receiving an error on the display driver stopped responding and recovery.

After recently installing a new SDS moving from the HARD drive, reinstall windows 7 etc via the updates and the order to make recovery disc the laptop because I used receive a blue screen error frequently, so that the display driver does not not error occasionally when using the design programs.  Therefore assumed, needed a new HDD/SSD and factory restore.

-Power supply has been connected to the time

N ' was not overclocked as it is when using disk HARD aswell

It wasn't until today where it happened again, without the blue screen though. So decided I would look at him and realized it is a common problem with the ATI drivers, when I assumed it was a HARD drive failure all along.

This time the screen turned off for a few seconds, more then previously which is a little disturbing. Was only using a search engine with no program in the background. I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question in the subject of your HP Pavilion dv7-6154ea Entertainment Notebook and problems with the display driver stopped responding. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. This resets the hardware parameters and contributed to others.

  • How to replace a bad IDE disk with a USB Flash drive system - and have all the functionality of XP Pro SP3

How to replace a bad IDE disk with a USB Flash drive system - and have all the functionality of XP Pro SP3
Given a PC without hard disk...
How can you use a flash drive instead?
So, indeed, the USB key works as an SSD...
I saw online options that gives partial functionality of the system... and an option that is more than $100 (more than the system's worth)...
None of these options are acceptable in the circumstances.
It is an effort to create a machine for a particular use, built from a recycled pc for which hard drive was removed and destroyed by the original owner...
The criterion is that it must work just like it was a mechanical drive running xp pro sp3 with all updates, etc...
    Thanks for any help.

You can not install XP on a Flash as his unsupported drive. Your only two options are a traditional hard drive or Solid State Drive (SSD).

  • Free virtualization software takes supported Windows 7 as operating system host and Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system?

    People,

Hello. I need to install the Windows 7 host virtualization software, and then install Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system.

VMware Workstation supports Windows 7 as operating system host and Windows Server 2003 as a guest operating system, but it's not free download.

People know that supports virtualization software free Windows 7 as operating system host and Windows Server 2003 as the operating system invited?

    Thanks in advance.

As I said in your previous post, VMWare Player is a free download and does not support Win7 as host and Win2k3 as a guest.  VMWare Player is also included with VMWare Workstation, you can imply that most of the time something that supports VMWare Workstation as a guest operating system is also a guests supported for the reader.

And unlike previous versions, player 3 includes the ability to create virtual machines base.  For many people, especially those who are starting just in virtualization, player is sufficient.

VMWare Workstation, although not free, can be installed as a 30 day trial.  After the trial, you can not start your virtual machines in my computer, but because the player is included in the installation, you can still run your virtual machines in the drive without having to uninstall anything.  So just install Workstation.  After the trial expires, if you wish that the advanced features of the workstation, then buy it.  If not, just continue to use the drive.

You will need to copy your other files on the hard disk before the distribution, you will lose it. When you have completed the process you can put back them on here.

  • Manager backup and recovery in Windows 8

I tried to create recovery disks in the Backup and Recovery Manager.  The software would only make the first disk and then hang up.  All the other empty disks inserted appear as complete. I'm trying to burn DVD + R discs.  The backup application was updated to the latest version.

Contacted Dell technical support.  Initially, the representative did not know what Backup and Recovery Manager is or did until I showed it to him on a remote connection.  He claims that it is a Microsoft problem, even if it is the Dell software.  Representative said that since Microsoft has no burning software disk in Windows 8, the Recovery Manager will be properly burn discs. (I could do the backup on a USB key).

Microsoft contacted; they began to laugh because he comes to Dell software, but helped me to look at it any way.  After 2 hours of watching the software does not work, the rep told me to call Dell again.  He said that I need to download and reinstall the software.

Of course, software release not correctly the player after that burned the first disc and shows then all the following discs as being full.  When the second disc is inserted, it is read as not having not any space and then is ejected.

I could not complete the backup process by using a recorder external panasonic. So it seems there is nothing wrong with the software and may be a hardware problem.

Just guess... could this be a hardware problem?

If you have more than one port... try USB to another.

Maybe you can connect the camera to your laptop via
USB cable and see if you can download your photos.

  • HP Pavilion 500-321: graphics driver constantly crashing and recovery

    Hello

I've been instances make more frequent accidents of graphics driver. The message I get is:

"Display driver stopped responding and recovered."

Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8 (R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered. »

When this happens, the screen goes black for a split second and then everything goes back to normal.

It happens every time I play games, demanding or not (could be just Agari.io, for example), or simply to Watch youtube videos. When you play a little demanding games, even with low settings I know my chipset is capable of processing, it happens rather frequently.

I have a HP Pavilion 500-321 with an i5 CPU 4750 and 4600 Graphics Intel Intel chipset on Windows (64-bit) 10. The driver installed is Windows and the site of software & drivers of HP, the last (10.18.15.4271).

Any ideas on the way that it can be and how to solve?

PS: I've done several resets factory and same charges 10 Windows installs, so is not a solution for me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sunshyn2005

I think that I managed to solve the problem by forcing the installation of the original drivers for my Intel graphics chip. I downloaded from the Intel Web site.  HP would not let me do this through the Windows Wizard or through installation of Intel software, so I did it manually after some research.

I have not seen the error message in more than a week now, not even when playing a bit demanding games, so I think it's safe to say that the problem has disappeared and that the problem is HP drivers in Windows 10.

I hope that you are able to pass it along so that HP can work towards a solution, if they are not already on this subject.

Thanks for your help and attention, Sunshyn.

  • HP 2000 - 2b19WM Notebook PC: AMD graphic Driver fails repeatedly, and the PC often restarts itself...

I bought this laptop a few months, put it away in a corner and when is it coming out my old laptop broke. I got it at low cost, was handed to nine Windows 8 PC, I've updated to 8.1 in early December. I use this laptop heavily, I watch a lot of videos, and I kept meeting my good old friend, the green of death. I was familiar with it, that the pilot had failed several times on my other laptop as he grew older. However, this error occurs repeatedly. I'll see that I've got the greenscreen, I'll go to my office and opened to the top of the screen with all the drivers listed, click on the display of the maps section and open the graphical part of AMD. I'll click Update driver in the second tab to search for updated drivers. Each time on what he tells me that he has that no update, so I'll be back with the graphical part of AMD, click Update again and, this time, search the drivers already installed on my laptop. Currently, there are 2 AMD drivers available, both the AMD Radeon HD 6310 versions, one starting with a 12 and the other starting with a 13. No matter which version I coose, both only work for a few hours before I have to redo the procees.

ALSO, sometimes after update the graphics drivers, my laptop with just close and restart. He will sit on page load with the HP logo and the circle with doing the loading circle, but the page with disappear and appear again and do exactly the same thing. On several occasions. Finally, a blue screen appears which says I need to restore my laptop and the previous version. I click on the button to do it, and the screen returns to the page from loading except now, it not there no circle loading, just the HP logo. He's sitting like that for about 20-30 minutes before a blue screen appears stating that the laptop could not restore to the earleir version, and there is a button Advanced Options on the Advanced Options page there is a button that says exit and go from 8.1 to Windows, so I click on that and the computer restarts normally and I can use my laptop again.

SO I need someone to tell me how to stop the repeated appearance of greenscreen and (hopefully) tell me how to stop my computer to reboot (it did its shenanigan last night, and when I finally got my computer back to the start screen, my Word documents had disappeared completely. I even tried to restore all thatword documents recorded due to the closure forced the document, but nada for me) I'm afraid that I'll lose even more work and time to these problems, and I hope that someone can help me.

    Hi @SabrinaS,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your 2b10wm of 2000 HP Notebook PCs and laptops having problems with restore points. Two graphics drivers that you see listed and you restart the portable computer to uninstall.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that may need updating.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Here is a document on assistance with the computer does not start. It gives you instructions step by step when you see the HP Logo screen.

What happens when you play a DVD?

What browser do you use? Here is a site that will check if your update.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

  • Using a USB flash drive for backup more driver and application backup recovery

I have a 32 GB flash drive I used to create a recovery for my Aspire S7 backup using Windows 8.1. I understand that in creating this backup everything on the flash drive is deleted before creating backup. Can I now use this drive for other purposes, e.g., pilots and backup applications, pictures, documents, etc., or this flash drive now should he remain dedicated to the sole purpose of being a backup recovery?

    Hi zimmerbob

I keep as a backup to dedicated recovery flash drive and use one for drivers & applications.

It is always wise to keep the recovery discs, as well as the recovery disks. Flash memory is quite inexpensive for the moment!
