  • Recovery for Pavilion dv6103nr (DV6000) media.

Hello, my pavilion (dv6103nr) had a HARD drive problem, and I got a new. I did drive before recovery and tried to use it, but I does not work. It displays the error message mentioning the registry. I looked towards the top of the web page of order recovery media support, but there is no menu for "recovery media". Is that the model is not a recovery media that I can order?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

As long as your laptop has been made after 2006, you should be able to order a replacement from HP restore DVD series.  Try to contact HP on the link below.

  • HP Pavilion M8200N Ctr Media: Get Error Message When I run as the recovery disc for my HP M8200N media center pc

When I ran the disk recovery software, I keep getting error screens, they all started "a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your system.   I re-ran about 10 times about 5 different error messages.  None of the proposed solutions would work since I coundn't get to Windows.  Safe Mode respectable and cmd failed after loading files. Could not get to checkdsk /F. could not get t check material are another anywere in windows.  I tried Yes No. and recovery of the plant.  Has been a long path towards the resumption of the plant.

Reminder of my problems with my HP:

My HP Pavilion M8200N Ctr Media had a blue screen in the past and I've never had a problem wiping the drive, refomatting it and my running recovery disks.  I had Crypotolocker beginning of the year and cleaned the machine and manually deleated 35 k corrupt (masked and not masked).  The PC then worked for a month when a blue screen frooze it and I could not reset the registry.  I tried to clean the disc, but it wouldn't work.  Records recovery and rescue, did nothing.  Finally, I tried and old version of XP that leaves me in the drive, but the drive size 1/2 gig would only up like 131meg.

I tried to buy a new drive for teribyte 1, but recovery software would not rcognize it.  Then, I took the reader to original HP and connected to my Linux box with Gparted on it (a powerful software partitioning and recovery).  GParted fixed the HD.  I created 3 partitions on it.   I then tested all partitions to copy files and pictures in them and then get back them.  3 all partitions functions correctly. Then I reinstalled the HD in the HP M8200N.

When I would run recovery disk, which has always worked in the past, I got these error messages:

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    CDFS_FILE_SYSTEM

Make sure you have enough space

    NFTS_file_system

on behalf of those that I remember well.

Someone at - it solutions to this problem.  My wife loves his HP desktop computer and cannot use the new laptop, so any suggestion is appreciated.

You have focused on potential problems with the hard disk have you considered maybe it's memory? If you know how to run gparted, I'm sure you can use memtest86. Make the bootable media and run a full test at startup and see if the RAM is good.

  • Pavilion 23-b244 AiO: the system recovery media does not support this computer

    Hey all,.

I had a power outage (1 TB) HD material on me about a week ago and replaced by a (500 GB) SSD, not purchased from HP.  I then ordered the recovery disc from HP for this particular serial number.  Whenever I boot on the recovery discs, I get "this computer does not support the system recovery media. You are not able to restore the system with the media. "The Minsize argument in the instructions to build on the DVD file provides a minimum of 140 GB, so I don't think I have a new smaller drive system is the question.

Last month I have updated the firmware to v80.08, and in the bios "product name", 'SKU number', 'serial number of the chassis' fields are all empty.  In "System ID", everythign is empty except UUID and family name.

I think that's why I'm not able to boot to recovery discs?

Any help would be appreciated, I have use this computer for quickbooks and have bee unable to do accounting for a week and a half.

Figured it out! On my Pavilion, you press Ctrl + A in the bios then click on 'System IDs'. Then I was able to type in the ID to build my recovery and support the byte to feature on the sticker under my machine. F10 to save then the recovery media recognized the computer properly and booted up!

Hey guys, try to create USB recovery media. Want to know if the Encrypt-a-Stick Lexar software should be removed from USB before that. Or, can be used to password protect the USB recovery media? Don't think it's necessary, but if it can be used I could go that route. Thank you, pcpunk

  • Pavilion HPE h8-1234: computer without recovery media recovery

My hard drive failed and I not create recovery discs. I searched HP's site and found my product but none of the recovery disks were available for Windows 7. They had a recovery media available for my product for Windows 8, but when I tried to browse the site further, I got a 'blank page' (and I'm not even sure I'd be able to use Windows 8, since it was not what was originally installed)

At this point, I'm just trying to understand what are my options for getting an operating system that runs on a new hard drive, so my computer is usable. I'd rather find a way to access the software I had initially at lowest cost possible but if not, what are my other options?

  • Pavilion M6-1045dx: problem of recovery media

I'm working on a cover of my laptop cousins.  The hard drive is dead and I had to order the recovery from HP media.  I just received the other day and started the recovery with a new hard drive.

Everything was fine until I got the second dvd.  Then he stops at 71% and tells me it's a read error and asks me to click OK to try again.  I'm doing and the message comes back on the same file (wish I had the name of file, but I turn off the laptop).

I retried a couple of times.  Same message.  I returned the drive 1 recovery.  Everything was fine until the second dvd again and stopped 71% on the same file.

I think that the media, that I received from HP has a problem.

How to send me the second dvd yet?

    Thank you.

I ask that your question is raised. A person of HP will soon contact you. Please be patient as it is a holiday season in the United States.

Ask to have the set of recovery disks replaced with HP usb recovery media. Usb support is much more reliable and more sustainable.

  • Pavilion dv7-1285dx: I need recovery for laptop HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx media.

The hard drive failed and I replaced it with a new SSD. The recovery disks that came the guys from the Geek Squad at best buy will not work. Best Buy has said of them at HP and they would reimburse me. I can't find out how to order on the HP website.

    Hello:

Product for your model specifications indicate it came with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

I don't see that you can order online for your model recovery media, so you need to call HP at this number 1-(800) 474 - 6836 and see if they still carry them.

If this isn't the case, you can still order a game from this provider no HP on the link below.

  • Cannot create recovery media after installing the SSD on Pavilion TS 11-e100

    Hello

I just replaced the SSD HARD drive and tried to make a USB support of recovery through 8.1 recovery utility. The process takes strangely little time, but finishes normally have reported that the media are created. The size of all the files on the flash is about 200 MB. When I made the same support with disk size was 12 GB. I tried to start with than flash and it failed with a message on a damaged or similar medium. I always thought that windows does not take into account the physical structure of the disc and can not understand what is happening and what to do.

    Hello

I use HP Recovery manager to create a recovery media for my machine ready and my wife. I use another software to clone HARD disks for other machines after any big change for example after moving from Windows 8 to 8.1, I create a clone which means I can't do it again, simply restore it back. Use a software called O & O DiskImage clone but the following free software can do the job:

PS I tested once the 3rd software, it's ok

  • P7-1205: amount of necessary recovery media?

Media Recovery prompts the user to choose either DVD (s) or Flash Drive as a system recovery media, but gives no indication of how much will be needed. A single disc? Five disks? A GB flash drive. 32 GB flash drive? Would be nice to have an idea of how the media would be required to produce a recovery media before the start of the process that the process can be done only once (depending on the Wizard).

Does anyone have any idea how much needed medium (DVD or Flash) may be needed to produce the recovery media necessary for this system?

    Thank you.

PS. I am not a student.

    Don't know where it got.

    But I am retired.

  • HP Recovery Manager & Recovery Media creation unavailable in SEARCH CHARM!

I have HP Pavilion n209TX-15 Notebook PC with Windows 8.1 update 1.
My system is up to date with all the upgrades of HP & Windows updates. I already have recovery in DVD image recently after the purchase.
But now, I have noted that HP Recovery Manager or create recovery media software applications could be seen on the search in the charm of research even with the drop-down list "everywhere".
I noticed this when I had to reinstall after uninstalling HP Support Assistant yesterday.
No idea where it went all of a sudden. Help, please. Thanks in advance.

    Hi visruth,

Sorry for the delay in replying, enjoyed the weekend. I hope you had a good too.

I have read your answers and from the other thread that you linked to. I also checked on a lab for Windows 8.1 here to see what it was you were looking for you. I understand that now.

To clarify for you, you don't have a virus. What is happening is all just link to when you need to remove and reinstall the HP Support Assistant software. The HP Recovery Manager tool, belongs to who. What seems to be produced is the removal/relocation has cause the link you used to find during a search to be broken. The fact that it works when access you it via the Help Assistant, supports that theory.

What I suggested to you in my first post should / could fix that. That he essentially fixes files. I will only include the document again like a Microsoft one for you. In order to clarify you hesitate to do the system update. You won't lose any of your files up-to-date ect. and that your computer came with Windows 8.1 not restore it. This only happens if you had improved (I had it said). So you have no problem with the update running.

    Here are the two documents:
How to refresh, reset or restore your PC
Refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8)

I also want to let you know that by removing all the Cyberlink software, you have lost your webcam in laptop. However, when you perform the update, this should be fixed as well.  Please try this and let me know how make you out with her.

    Thanks for your replies.

  • Old recovery media

Hello my fellow forum members! : as stated previously, I have a Pavilion 7965 2001 model

There are a few months that the PC has been upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate edition, a new CPU & Firewire ports

Since the upgrade, I still have the support of Windows XP Recovery with the extra added value edition which included the backup application that was not part of XP Home Edition, in addition, I have all the modules necessary service (XP SP 3) as well.

I would like to know the addresses of HP that I can send it to because I do what I do at my public library

because I'm too financially challenged to be here through my home

during the 8 years that I've been here, I've noticed that people periodically ask for recovery media to bring their machines patients back to normal I think would not deprive chipheads colleagues to have their computers to bring a few years of useful life.

I don't know that anyone would appreciate that at the highest level once I have remove this.

Thanks for having me be part of this

    spacechild

HP does not maintain these items beyond their useful potential. Support for WIN XP and MS Office 2003 ends on 04/08/2014.
