HP Pavilion g6: select two more integrated external monitor

I'm trym'g to use 3 monitor IE

(1) built in the laptop monitor

(2) an external VGA monitor

(3) an external HDMI monitor

Using the two monitor all work combination possible tiles sandstone (1 internal external + 1 external 2), but he is under no circumstances to use three monitor.

For example two favorable external follow work very well (display Desktop which is nice). When I try to install (activate) the third (built in the laptop monitor) Windows 8.1 say iot cannot save the configuration.

Any clue?

Thank you

Hi @antimoRoma

Welcome to the HP community! I saw your post about problems with getting all three monitors to work. Unfortunately, there is no trick for most video cards in notebooks will only support two screens. High-end desktop video cards can support three monitors but not notebooks.

  • 2nd T510 external monitor no longer works

    Hey guys,.

I hope someone can help me

Coming into work with my T510 and inserted on my Lenovo to home station type 4338. For over 2 years now, I had to work with 2 external monitors and also the built in display of the laptop. Now I can only get the built in monitor and monitor 2 (VGA on the docking station) for display.

It detects the 3rd monitor but when I try to extend to it, everything goes black and I have to wait that it to expire or pop the laptop off the station and put it on.

If I try to select just the 2 external monitors and close the lid of the laptop has only monitor 2 screens and monitor 3 disconnects automatically.

3 Monitor connects using a Display Port to VGA

I tried 2 other monitors, the same results. I tried DVI, and it makes no difference. I tried 2 different docking stations the same results and I even reinstalled the Windows 8.1 on the laptop in hopes that would solve the issue, but it didn't.

I know this can work because I had it before. And the fact that I can't get 2 external references to display on the screen of the laptop closed is a sign that something is happening.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions I hope to come!

    I could solve the problem.

For some reason my BIOS should have started just Intels intergrated GPU. I had to boot to the BIOS and change the video setting Optimus, I think that's what it's called.

Once the change has been made Windows 8.1 has been able to install the drivers automatically, knit another reboot and all monitors.

I hope this helps someone in the future!

  • Two external monitors for HP Pavilion dv6

Is it possible to configure my laptop Pavilion dv6 to take charge of two external monitors?  It does not resemble a connection docking station on the bottom of the laptop

I am writing just this note using my HP Pavilion dv6 (AMD A8), and I use two Samsung 27 "external displays, a Samsung 2770hd (HDMI output) and a Samsung SyncMaster T260 * w/VGA DVI cable).

I use the HDMI and the VGA output of my HP laptop. Adapt the VGA connector, I used a dremel cutting tool to easily remove a side area plastic of the connector. It was very easy and I had to do it because my VGA connector was too big and it wouldn't let me put the connector hdmi beside him.

Otherwise, it works great.  I could use resolution 1900 x 1200, but one of my monitors (VGA) only has a resolution of 1900 x 1080, so I have both at this resolution.

This machine is faster than my older HP desktop computer and occupies all the space... Very nice work AMD... !!!  I love this machine can use the integrated and discrete GPUS using crossfire...

  • Impossible to add an external monitor or adjust the brightness of the screen: Pavilion dv7-4031TX (Windows 7)

    Hello

I recently replaced both hard drives of HDD2K12, which meant I had to re-enstall Windows 7. Since that time, I have no options more in using an external monitor or even the brightness of the screen. The computer does not recognize the monitor when I Plug and all my drivers are up to date.

Can you make suggestions that could help to solve these two problems?

    Kind regards

    Peter

Thanks to find the links but I could not find the drivers I need for a Pavilion dv7-4031TX.

However I finally managed to fix the problem. Let me summarize what has been my problem.

    (1) I could not adjust the brightness of the screen by using the function keys f2 and f3.

    (2) I couldn't find the brightness slider if it was generally... i.e. (control Panel\Hardware and Options of Sound\Power)

    (3) my laptop would not recognize an external monitor.

    How I solved the problem:

    1 > pass.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-95107-1 & CC = in the & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 4063 & Product = 4253423 & sw_lang =

and go to the graphics driver and download the graphics driver and follow the directions. At the end of the installation you will be asked to restart the computer.

0nce you have restarted your computer, you should be able to adjust the brightness of the screen using the fn keys or the brightness slider in the window 'power Option '.

    2 > Activting 2nd monitor

Click on Device Manager... At start-> right click on 'Computer' and click 'properties '. Click on "Device Manager". Now click on "monitors".

Now connect the exernal monitor to your laptop while watching where the monitor icon appears under "monitors". It should appear as 'Generic PNP monitor'.

Now, right-click on it and select "update driver software... "then search automatically for updated drivers. Install the new drivers. You should see the generic 'PNP monitor' name change to another name.

3 > restart your computer. You should find that after doing all this, you should be back to normal.

  • Possible to connect an external monitor for laptop HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 CTO

I have a HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC model # A1M02AV and it has a VGA, one port that resembles a cable port phone/broadband and one that looks like a USB port, but indented on each side down. I can even connect an external monitor? How will I know if I have more than 1 video card? In addition to the usual USB/headphone ports, I have not all ports. He says that my drivers are up to date... but I don't know even what I'm looking for. Do I need to install something or buy some kind of adapter?

I'm trying to connect an external Dell montitor via the VGA port with a VGA cable. The monitor has power, but my laptop does not detect recognize them / it. However, when I plugged in the first time in, my laptop screen has shrunk in a square (vs the entire screen) so he acknowledged something... but nothing happened on the external monitor.

I tried to detect through my display settings, but I have accidentally changed some display setting until the reception desk shows only 1 monitor, but not selected my real laptop screen or something or changed to be Monitor 2 (even if there is no monitor 1), so when I plug the cable into my laptop suddenly my desktop disappears and it's just a white background screen - and I cannot access the screen of the computer settings or whatever whatever... when the cable is disconnected this setting seems to be normal, so I can not understand how to fix it.

Sorry, I don't know what I'm doing here - please help!

    Hello

All Dell monitors are equipped with CD for the drivers. Your laptop may not know the monitor without its driver, it will not install automatically. Please check:

Ringht click an empty space on the desktop,

    Click Customize

    Click on display

    Click on change display settings

You can see the TWO laptop screen and external monitor in there, as shown in the following image:

For the test, I put my Dell monitor is my main screen. If I can't see 2 monitors, you need its driver first and then check the cable.

    Kind regards.

  • HP Pavilion dv4: can I factory reset with an external monitor attached to my laptop?

I got a laptop HP Pavilion dv4 entertainment PC. It has a cracked screen and I use an external monitor attached. Can I do a factory reset with the attached external monitor? The monitor is an HP w1815 LCD, case ini that matters.

Thanks for any help on this.

I would like to add that I can see on both screens only on screen cracked that I can't see the bottom of it due to cracking. As recovery options are visible on the external display, it would be prudent to start the recovery process? I made a few choice, but I am now at the point choose to 'pull the trigger' and click next to start it or hit Cancel.

    Thank you.

  • View two different windows simultaneously with an internal and an external monitor

Display two different windows on external and internal monitors at the same time?

    Yes, you can.

When you connect an external monitor, its pixels are added to the screen integrated to create an extended desktop. If you get a double built-in, just disable fill video. The pane organize you allows to place each tiny in the same way screen icons, they are arranged on your bench, and then the mouse moves correctly on the boundary between displays, and you can drag and drop Windows where you want.

  • Can I use two external monitors with Satellite P105?

I wonder if it is possible to connect two external monitors P105-S9722 model using the DVI and VGA ports at the same time?

It is very interesting question but unfortunately I don't l t figured out how you use two monitors. Can you please be a little more specific?

I am also interested in how you are connected the two monitors on your laptop?

  • Pavilion DV7: How to make windows 10 talk to external monitor?

    I changed my Pavilion DV7 (product # ww185av) from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Since then, the laptop appears on my external monitor (HP x 2511).

    The screen remains black.

Laptop computer connection and monitor worked very well just before the switch.

If I P-window and choose "duplicate", the laptop tells me that I don't have the optimal resolution and it changes the screen resolution of mobile, but the external monitor stays black.  Somehow, I found once a "detection" option to get another monitor, but windows cannot find a second monitor. I tried to re-allocation of places the connection htmi several times.

I suspect the video driver, because my laptop wonder is no longer on whether I want to change GPU when I plug/unplug power supply.  I suspect that it is running low power GPU, and he never liked talking to the screen when executing that GPU.  But I have not found a panel that allows me to spend.   My video drivers are updated according to windows and hp advisor software.  Some HP site says that HP does not support windows on machines more than 10 2 years, one of which is mine.

Any thoughts on how to get the laptop to talk to the screen?  Should I just go back to Windows 7?

The expert event is over, no one offers a 'plan B', and my Windows 10 grace period is exhausted.

I came back to Windows 7 and my monitor works fine again.

  • How to use two external monitors with my laptop?

I have a new Pavilion dm4-301 d cl Entertainment PC.   My OS is Windows 7.   I'm used to using two external monitors with a docking station.   This new laptop lacks a docking station.  What should I do use two external monitors?

Certainly not without a dock, but even with laptop HP well enough docks limit you to one of the ports on the external monitor, even if there are two on the dock. We used a device called an Atlona AT-HDPIX2 which is a USB to hdmi adapter. It provides a feature of third monitor for a laptop... use the native external port of the screen and the computer screen internal, then this device gives a third control that is fully configurable to display Windows 7 interface... clone, extend, etc.. It allows a full HD resolution and is pretty responsive for games even light.  HP does not have any true docking station for your laptop.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-7029wm: BIOS display on an external monitor

    Hello

The screen of my laptop has been broken for quite awhile now and I tried to find a way to be able to view the BIOS on an external monitor.

I tried pressing f2 and f8, f10 or esc on startup and try using f4 to toggle the display without result.

As a side note, when I press f10 if I try to press keys f later my computer makes a high-pitched beep, I don't know if this means anything but I feel like it is worth noting. I use an external keyboard, so I don't have a fn key, if all that matters.

Finally, I tried to disconnect the front lcd screen but my attempts to disassemble my laptop in the past have not exactly well and I do not trust myself without ruining things more far.

What I can do about it, or am I out of luck?

I'm afraid you're out of luck when it comes to BIOS on external monitor display. The switch of the F4 does that once the computer is started. Same goes for making a recovery system - several have posted asking how to see recovery on external monitor... screens cannot be done.

Your Service and Maintenance Guide should help with reeplacing lcd.

  • The two external monitors show the same screen

original title: using 2 external monitors on a laptop using Dynadock U10 problems

    Hi guys,.

I try to use two external monitors using my a Dynadock U10..., I bought because it says you can use two external monitors with it!

I installed the drivers for Displaylink etc.

I plugged both monitors to the Dynadock (one via the VGA input) and one through DVI. When I have my laptop open it using cell phone as main screen and extends the office to both monitors, but both monitors have the same screen. If I identify screens, the laptop screen is 1 'and the monitors are the two 3'.

If I close the laptop (I put the settings to not do anything if the lid is closed) and select my monitor as the main screen, they still both have the same image and the settins wont let me go to another screen. If I identify the screens, the two screens are developed under the number "1".

I use Windows Vista. My laptop graphics card is "ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics"

    Any help would be appreciated!

    See you soon,.

    Stu

Your video card is not serious with this home solution 'USB '.

Toshiba is your point of contact.

However - to answer your question - as much as I know you cannot do what you are trying to do.  You can use both outputs monitor, but the results you see are what you would expect.

  • 23xi HP Pavilion laptop audio cutting external monitor

I want to use my monitor HP Pavilion 23xi as an external monitor to my laptop (Sony Vaio, Windows 7).  The laptop has only a HDMI connection, so I used a HDMI cable to connect it.  The HP Monitor works fine, but when it is connected, it cuts all the audio outputs on the laptop.  There is no sound the internal on the portable speaker or the headphone connection.

If the HDMI connection automatically resumes the audio output, probably it would take at least a headphone jack on the PC?  I can not change the type of connection, because the laptop has only HDMI to an external monitor.  Y at - it no configuration changes will correct this?

    Hello

As you said, the HDMI sound can resume sound, disable audio HDMI can help. Pleae try:

    • Right-click the "speaker" icon
    • Select playback device
    • Click with the right button on HDMI sound and turn it off

    Kind regards.
