  There is no removable or stretch graphics card in your laptop.

  Nvidia GT940m GPU is integrated to the motherboard and the only way to update the graphics would be to replace the motherboard together with one of those enrolled in the service manual for your laptop model that may have better graphics.

  It would be a very costly intensive project work.

  Better sell your laptop and one with the graphic solution you want to get.

  Unfortunately, I can't make recommendations about these products.  Generally, most of the gaming graphics cards, will have PCI Express 2.0 or higher.  There is always a chance that you will experience reduced performance, based on your hardware.  I hope this helps.

  The first thing you have to do is to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 250W.  Most recent most of mid-level video cards requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  I love Corsair products.  I normally recommend at least 500W.

  Here are the system requirements for Battlefield 3.  (GTX 560 and AMD 6950) recommended graphics cards require 500W to work properly.

• g5460uk: HP Pavilion G5460uk - update graphics card

  I have a g5460.uk that is about 2-3 years and has a BIOS of 2012 (v7.12 I think).

  I try to adapt a new GPU (Asus GeForce GTX 750 it) but it is not start any more than the blue BIOS and apart from occasional fair lugubrious beeps screen does nothing else.

  I've updated the PSU with a 500w PSU Corsair and no problem with that. Still, he runs with an old graphics card but am keen to get both from the system as possible.

  I read somewhere that a BIOS update can help, but Support HP pages display nothing for particular mother (it is a card of mother Foxconn 2ABF Cupertino).

  Anyone know where I can get a BIOS upgrade and know if it will help me with the GTX 750 it or is it a lost cause?

I'll add a new power unit - I prefer nvidia EVGa etc usually... does anyone know, or can anyone refer me to a url with this info?  I tried my radeon 5820 and she didn't any what exit, so I stuck in a 500w PSU and a gtx old 9400 for now, which only works for low use.

  Recent video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The motherboard may not be upgraded in the UEFI.  The last video cards that does not need UEFI were the GTX 660/670. I suggest to contact EVGA Tech Support (1-888-881-3842) to help choose the best card for your system.  They are the experts on their products.   In addition, they can tell you the power requirements of the card they recommend.

  No there's a white list of BIOS that will prevent the installation of any wireless card other than that provided by HP with the original from the sale of the unit. And there must be a version of HP of the card, not only the same chipset. Pages 57-58 lists the options available:

  I installed W7 X 64 Enterprise on my Tecra M5 (PTM51A), installed 4 GB of memory. Now, I want to spend the WiFi at N300 with a WiFi card that will load the drivers. I tried an Intel 5100 ABGN (not the Toshiba PA3655U-MPC version), but it won't work. I can only conclude the Tecra is looking for their version.

  Problem is that officially updated WLAN card is not supported, and unfortunately there is no info about it. On this forum, you will find number of threads with the same theme. If you have time try using the advanced search option and check if you can find some info on the update of the WLAN card.

  Hello, I have problems finding the update of the bios (download) for my computer, I looked everywhere in the 'hp' site and I can't find all downloads for the bios. Recently, I have re-installed and updated my graphics card because it wouldn't run hardware acceleration or all the games that I tried to start, so now whenever I start my computer it crashes during startup, but once I'm in safe mode and disable My Nvidia GeForce 7350 the my computer starts up fine but my graphics card does not work , I searched up to via internet for this problem and what I saw, is that I need a bios update for my updated graphics card work properly. I read that you can get the update on the site of "hp", and I'm not. If someone could help I would be happy to apprectiate, also if you think I'm doing something wrong or the wrong in the resolution of this problem please let me know, thanks!

  I use version 10.5 On1 photo software which is a little slow with my current video function.

  Here is a video card that will give you what you need.  However, it will take a power supply (PSU) upgrade, too.  I love Corsair products.  I propose a modular power supply at least 500W.  Almost any card that meets your needs will require an upgrade of the power supply.

• Pavilion p600: how to add wifi

  recently installed windows 10 on P6653w desktop model.  I'm on a limited data plan and the only way to connect is using ATT MyFi device that plugs into the USB port.  (it works fine on my new laptop HPSpectra but I need to connect desktop with network setting Windows 10 which is displayed that the ethernet connection, therefore auto download updates which I don't want.)

  I guess I need a card wifi or something else so that I can put the network settings on the desktop as 'meter' that will keep auto download updates.

  What should I buy to connect to wifi?  Thanks in advance.

  Updates automatic is the standard for WINNING 10.  I would never say you stop automatic updates to update, but as a limited extent this is how. There are others such as metered connection.
