HP Pavilion hp15: black screen

I have a problem with my laptop once it starts. Whenever I type the password, the screen goes black and I do not see the cursor. I know how to enter the system if I want to by the Task Manager, but it's frustrating.

I have the laptop for 3 weeks and I feel so disappointed by this incident.

I tried the techniques previous unpluggin the power adapter, change the battery by pressing the f keys, but still no feedback from her.

Everyone has experienced the same problem?

Hello

Try this and let me know.

Boot the computer normally and log.

Black screen, hold down the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.

Select Task Manager.

At the bottom left, select details (if it is not already selected).

Click in the header of column Nsoul to organize the processes in alphabetical order.

Look for an entry called to run once Wrapper (RunOnce.exe) - If you see it listed, right-click on it and select end task.

The office is now show?

Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion G6 black screen at startup... Help!

I have a HP pavilion G6 that has worked well for like half a year. Today I wanted to start my laptop, but it seems to be stuck on a black screen (with my slider appeared) after the HP loading screen.
Sometimes, at the start, he says 'prepairing failback', but the results after loading at the same black screen.
I tried to solve this problem with the following things:
    1. hard reset (turn off everything, hold the power button / stop 30 seconds, all lights and start-up etc..)
2 replacement RAM. Someone from the Forum said it worked, but it didn't.
3 tried to take off all USB devices such as mouse, adapter DC etc. and starts but didn't work

I don't know if it has nothing to do with the startup problem, but a month ago I tried to do a factory reset, but my laptop seems to be stuck on the same black screen. I couldn't find a solution for this too.

I really hope that someone can help me without sending my laptop to HP...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    You are welcome

Error code 24 characters for short drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the question of commissioning.

As your laptop is listed as coming with Windows 8, it should still be under warranty, so my best advice would be to contact HP and arrange for the replaced disk - if necessary, you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If I remove the battery and run it through with just the charger it happens to a planned Windows with the mouse.  I did a few tests through the bios and it came with the memory Test: memory test managed Primary Hard Drive Disk Self Test: 1 (303) fast hard drive. Hello

Error code 24 characters for short drive Self Test (DST) would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  It is also compatible with startup problems you describe.

  • Pavilion 23 -: black screen

I got an error message - driver error - restart. When I tried to reboot, I got a black screen after the HP logo.  I tried f8, f12 etc., trying to find troubleshooting mode with no luck. I have a USB to recovery, but I don't know how to get the computer to boot from it.

I had already tried f8 and f12. Your suggestion helped f11. He gave me a box of troubleshooting and now my screen is black. MY system seems to work very slowly, but perhaps it is because he was off for 5 days and catching up. My product number is H6U09AA #ABA.

  • HP Pavilion HDX9280EL black screen

Hello, I have a laptop HP Pavilion HDX 9280el that until last week worked, but after a few operations to remove the virus and also some updates from microsoft windows 7 64-bit, began to plant continuously, I tried to read as many post on this problem of many solutions (of the old and new graphics drivers test (, chipset, test temperature, hard drive, etc...) until I tried the latest bios update HP HDX series site... After this installation, laptop does not work and all are lit while the screen is black.

I tried the laptop unboxing conversion, I cleaned the old thermal paste and replace the new thermal paste.

I removed the battery cmos for 30 minutes and after that, I assembled the notebook.

I contacted HP, but there is no parts for this product.

Thus, this laptop was expensive, and I'd like to solve this problem with all the solutions if possible.

    Please, can someone help me?

    Thank you

  • HP Pavilion dv6 - black screen on startup, but works using the secondary monitor?

    I use a Pavilion dv6 WV815AV, and I used it for 3 years now.

I tried to start the computer and the fan and lights are lit, but not the monitor.  I tried to plug in my high school, and it's that now treats as if it were the only screen.  I had problems in the past of a few times where I would get past the HP logo, and then there would be a substantial delay where the screen remains black but be illuminated, but most of the time that he would go to the screen connection, and if not, a simple reboot managed to solve the problem.

Thoughts on how should I solve it?

    Thank you!

Hi mybluesock, sorry to hear that you have a problem with the monitor not just not. I did some research and I found a document that can help you. Click on the link for the document.     http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01997899

  • Laptop HP Pavilion g7 - black screen after login

Hello, last night, I tried to understand why my Trend Micro antivirus was not updated itself, as I walked through Trend Micro troubleshooting options. I did a scan of firewall and restarted my computer later. When I restarted the computer, the adapter is out and shut down the computer while it was restarted. When I plugged it back in and press the power button, it took me for my normal login page. I signed up and the screen was black. I tried to push the windows, ESC, f1/f2 button and manually shut down the computer when no one who worked. I have tried several times and it is always black. The only thing that works is when I press ctrl, alt, del. I see my task manager, but nothing else. My CPU and disk % will be all over the map! with memory, never change the network never change to 0% and 14%. Is there something I can do?

    It's a laptop HP Pavilion g7
    I have Windows 8

Help me Support HP team, you're my only hope!

    Hello

Were there any other restore points listed for a date earlier than that you just tried?  If so, you might want to try the procedure again, ideally (if available) pick a restore point that is approximately 3 weeks.

    Kind regards
