  I currently have an iMac that I bought in February ' 08. It has 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.   The airport should be fine, unless you have the intention to improve your Internet connection at Gigabit speeds... WiFi has not changed that much.

  It's probably a good idea to consider a new Mac in the near future, however. This one is about the end of his life.

  You can put 2 x 4 GB DIMMS in the empty slots, this will give you a total of 12 GB. iMacs are very sensitive to the RAM, it is best to buy RAM from reliable sources like Crucial (direct purchase) or OWC OWC RAM

  Don't just assume a problem until it arises. Ranger 3 months at discounted rate is not likely to cause a problem, especially if it's a fairly new battery (low cycle count).

  If you can't find the device in the Device Manager (card subnet / other devices / Unknown devices), then yes its seems to be a problem with the network card. & I see that the same is available online for purchase

  No, you don't need to buy another copy, you can reinstall it on the new hard drive and turn it back on by phone if necessary:

  As far as I know the card you mentioned in your post is just a / b one. I found information that are compatible for P20 WLAN cards:
  PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802. 11b)
  PA3273U-2MPC (Atheros 802.11ab)

  This device about three years ago and currently, there is no WLAN card with standard g. In my opinion, you should contact the Service of your country partner and look for information on compatibility with the WLAN cards.   You'll have to stuck with it. Unlike desktop computers, it is impossible to very hard replacing the cards video on laptops. You can replace only on a handful of models.

  Some variants of the R7 AMD x 260 can run and others may not work. Contact Sapphire and investigate who have need for a model no UEFI that supports of four monitors (by you in other post).  You will also need a 500 Watt power supply.

  Yes, you can add USB 3.0, but it would work in 2.0 as the motherboard must be able to do.

  The GT 730 requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  There is no way to add UEFI to the motherboard.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.  I suggest you contact the manufacturer's Technical Support to help choose the best card for your computer.
