  I have a question about backing up my files using dvd - r - dvd + r dl - I used to be able to back up my files once you write information about the disk backup, which includes the number of drive - computer name - date - time-. After completing most of the time to backup their still room left on the disk to add the backup files.

  So every time I have to perform a regular new save new files to the computer would ask the previous disc and then add the new files if had left them enough space on this disk. Until recently, when I backup my files at the application-it request the previous disc, which still has plenty of room to add new files - I insert the previous disc, but it will not add new files, a messaged pop keeps saying insert the previous disc it will not new files backup.

  I have to click on the use of a new media and formatting option and save the new files a new dvd - r or a dvd + r dl etc. Can anyone suggest what may be the problem and if the DVD + R DL that holds up to 8 GB are even appropriate for the backup files.

  Joe, welcome to the forum.

  I suggest looking for a driver or Firmware Update for the drive.  Sometimes the glitches may occur which will cause the type of problem that you are experiencing.  You may have to completely reinstall the training software and driver.  In addition, it seems that the DVD may close at the end of each burn.  This would make the DVD so it will not allow adding more data.

  Here's a guide to the types of CD/DVD that you can use for backups and other uses.  Personally, I've always had the best luck using (+ r) discs.  They seem to be compatible with many brands of discs.

  I recently installed a new SSD in a HP Pavilion HPE with windows 7 Home premium. After this event I get bluescreen Driver_Power_State_Failure after about 30-45 minutes waiting for the computer to stop. I recently installed a Cosair CX600w diet and I'm looking for a list of compatible video cards, I can update.  My first interest is to do video editing, so I need memory and graphics power. I'm looking to spend around $100-200 dollars.

  Install the updates to the BIOS listed under Windows 8 , one at a time from the lowest verision.  However, before that, install the latest diagnoses that are displayed on the same page and run a full game.

  I am running Windows 8-64 bit on my Pavilion HPE - model h8 - 1220 t.  It is not currently showing as eligible for the 8.1 update.  Someone knows it all plans in support of 8.1 for this model or am I stuck with version 8 of Windows?  Thank you

  If you are by chance the Enterprise from Windows 8 version you will be ineligible for the update.  Otherwise, you probably lack a few Windows 8 patches prerequisites necessary.  Running Windows 8 update and be sure that you have all updates applied to your PC.

  HP has not posted 8.1 Windows drivers and updates for your PC. Your PC is three years from the date of the first version.  You may need to hunt for some updates after the upgrade to Windows 8. 1. remember to create the external HP recovery media before you perform the upgrade to Windows 8.1.

  The HP Envy h8 - 1427 has has the same motherboard and have validated 8.1 Windows drivers.  You might find what you need.

  IM using a HP Pavilion 15 016tx laptop which runs on windows 8.

  Im trying to update to Windows 8.1, but I am unable to do so.

  I tried formatting my laptop and selecting the update from windows store, but it asked me to update windows, I did, but not the option is not available.   I have studied various posts on this topic, but it could still use a recommendation please.   I want to improve my video card to a Radeon HD 7870 (first choice) or Radeon HD 7850 (second choice).  They all need two 500 watt supply.  I have a HP 460 watt stock in there.  I think to upgrade the PSU power SUPPLY Corsair CX600 or TX650 and wanted to check first.  My system:

  Both the CX600 V2 Corsair and the Corsair TX650 V2 are power supplies, but because of the narrowness of the HP case and the little space between the power and CD/DVD/BluRay drives... I recommend that you install the slightly smaller CX600.

• Pavilion HPE series, LP028AV # a: Windows has not started, but ended up with Recovery Manager without control

  When I started my desktop computer, Windows did not come to the top, and then he came to the Recovery Manager window. So, I wanted to select System Recovery, but the wired keyboard seemed to be locked and so was the wired mouse.  No selection is possible on the window.   Hello.

  After replacing the batery, I got a black screen. But I discovered that the cable from the monitor was not completely connected after that I moved the PC and the monitor. Once I fixed and restarted the PC, keyboard and mouse are animated.  I'm currently running System Recovery.

  Here's something to check.

  Open windows control panel, open Folder Options, click the view tab and Remove the check mark next to "always show icons, never thumbnails".  Click on apply to save this change.

• HP Pavilion HPE h8-1111: Deffective WLAN Card

  I've had a few confusing issues with my internet connection for a few weeks now:

  My computer seems to detect wifi networks (they appear in the Network Manager), but fails to connect because of an unknown factor.

  Basic troubleshooting informed me that wifi wasn't the issue (other devices could connect to) and it turns out that my computer could sometimes reconnect by mmee after a few hours (weird right?)

  This time it does not resolve itself. I tried to update my WLAN card through my laptop adapter, so the drivers via a USB key. Nothing worked (maybe bad drivers?) I've tried a few)

  My network card is a mini Broadcom 802.11n using magnetic antennas of the card. (youd cloth found in a laptop essentially...) I have little or no knowledge more than I could translate from the web on this kind of hard\software. I am at a loss.

  [Also, I've seen a few threads recommending the driver intel update of software, but it needs a connection to work its magic...]

  Is that something WLAN adapter that you added or the original map?

  I would recommend that you try the following to see if you can get a stable connection. If at the end you still have nothing so it may be that the card is bad, and a replacement is necessary.

  Troubleshooting your wireless network and Internet access (Windows 7)
  
  In addition, you can watch the the power management of your wireless adapter:
  Turn off the power to the adapter:
  1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
  2. expand the network adapters.
  3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
  4. click on the power management tab.
  5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  6. click on OK.
  7 test cycle.

  Forget the network: (Windows 7)
  1. press start.
  2. tap manage wireless networks, click on the application at the top of the start menu.
  3. right click on the network, and then click on remove network.
  4 confirm the warning by clicking OK.
  
  Reset TCP/IP on your PC:
  1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
  2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
  3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
  4 restart your PC and test.
  
  It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
  1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
  2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
  3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
  4 restart your PC and test.
  
  Reinstall the NIC drivers:
  1. download the drivers from here, but do not run them again.
  2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
  3. expand network adapters.
  4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
  5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
  6. restart your PC and test.

  I have a Pavilion HPE h9 - 1120t Phoenix with Intel Core I7 - 3770 k and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system.

  I checked that my CPU indeed does support virtualization technology, and it does according to Intel. However, when I try to run a 64-bit VM in VM Ware player, I get this message: "the host is capable of VT, but VT is disabled.

  When I checked the BIOS to enable VT, I have been unable to find a setting for VT option can I update the BIOS to use VT?

  Posted this on the Forum for questions of another office before I reduced the problem.  No one answered:

  Announcing this computer from July 2012 and not even a hiccup.  4 days, the computer suddenly began turn power off. It doesn't stop, it turns off, the plug was pulled. When I reboot I get the message of abnormal termination of Windows.   There is no warning at all.  No message as the computer is overheating.  He comes to occur when the computer is idle without programs will open.

  When it stops, the power supply unit light goes out for a minute then comes back on the 'green' and the computer can be restarted.

  I unplugged the power cord and relugged and it seems fine.

  The computer is aware of the updates of Windows and can be stopped normally.

  I removed the cover and clean the dust and confirmed all fans are running properly.  I left the lid off the coast, and the computer stops again.

  I must add that when the computer is started 'cold' it runs about 15 minutes.  If you restart after it just closed, you have maybe 3-5 minutes of use.

  Why did you think it was overheating.

  Any ideas?  Thank you.
