HP PAVILION NOTEBOOK N012AX 14: AMD - A10 5745 carrots not working. And speed changes do not

Hello, I have this problem. My processor AMD A-10 5745 M has 4 cores, I can either change from 1 up to 4 cores. But then, when I change to 4 cores, I restart and it uses a lot of my ram, so I had to change it back as 2 kernels, then at the next reboot. I look again in my hearts. He said that I have only 2 hearts. And I can't change it to 3 or 4 my CPU cores. My CPU doesn't change, it kept being also 2.10 ghz constantly which is my maximum processor speed. But before all this happened, my Simultaneosly changed CPU speed. Help, please. I have had no recovery, what can I do? Is that a bad thing or so? Please answer as soon as possible.

-Thank you

Hi @RedCheesecake ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I watched your show on your HP Pavilion Notebook 14-n012ax and the problem with speeds. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings that could solve the problem with the speeds and the fans.

Here's a document on improving your system.

Make sure that all updates are completed within the control panel or click the Windows key and start typing the laptop settings, then go to update.

You could try a refresh of Windows 8. Please read the entire document before performing.

Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you.

I bought a new laptop over the weekend (15-ab121dx - CPU AMD A - 10 p 8700, 6 GB of DDR3 RAM memory) and the sales associate could not tell me the max supported RAM.  I guess I could quickly find the info online, but was strangely wrong...  I searched HP and the Internet in general site but can't find what the maximum RAM allowed in this laptop.  I'm assuming that the laptop is so new, the information is just not there yet?    He came only installed with 6 GB or ram (SODIMM 1 is 4 GB and the 2nd SODIMM 2 GB) and I want to change to 16GB SODIMM (2x8GB) or 32 GB (2x16GB) SODIMM.   The problem is that I can't find the maximum supported memory, speed, memory type for my new machine.  One of the main reasons that I decided to go with this laptop is I read good things about the A10 AMD 8700 p and that it can work with RAM speeds up to 2133 mhz...  But before I buy the fast RAM, I want first of all to ensure that this speed of RAM will work in this laptop?  Please list the supported RAM types, size of RAM, RAM speeds for this laptop.   In addition, support DDR3L, DDR3, or both?    Thank you!

Yes thank you, but the link you have sent (the model computer laptop 15-ab121dx on the HP site) was the first place I checked when I started searching for information on the laptop.    It not there no guide service or y at - it clues about the supported RAM configurations.   I knew that the price of the machine and the CPU is perhaps a little too good to be true.     ... Not extensible user is bad.  Looks like the laptop everything would need to be dismantled to even just replacing the hard drive and, to install or replace the motherboard of the laptop RAM must be removed!    I should have done more research.  But I guess even if I had, I wouldn't have found much (since having to place a post in a forum to know these basic things like access and type of RAM)...   I plan to return it.  Thanks for the quick responses to the post office - this was appreciated.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook PC g7 - The Audio Service is not running

I don't have sound on my PC for a few weeks, but when I use a headset it is solid. Today, I saw a message saying that the Audio Service is not running. What is going on?

    HP Pavilion Notebook PC g7

    #ABA product number A6Z29UA

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55026.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

Once this done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

Good day Sir/Mam...i recently bought a HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-f208nx and I wonder if the dedicated video card is can be seen in the BIOS?... cause when I go into the BIOS I don't see the card... thanks video dedicated to help.

    Hi @nextor ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked at your question about your Notebook of 17-f208nx HP Pavilion Notebook and concerns regarding the graphics not to be seen in the BIOS. That it is up to your motherboard, it is usually on the Advanced tab. If it is not listed in the BIOS means that you will not be able to change the options.

    Thank you.

  • HP PAVILION NOTEBOOK N012AX-14: can I update my AMD Radeon 8670 AMD Radeon 8770 m m graphics card

Hello Forum, Im not good in graphics card. I know in the internet there is a genius people on graphics card. I want to ask Can I improve/replace my current graphics card AMD Radeon HD 8670 m to an AMD Radeon HD 8770 M when I read things on the AMD Radeon HD M 8770, all I get is the 8770M is better suited for laptop 13 inch or more. My laptop is 14 inches as you can see in the name of the product. Does this mean that I can buy the graphics card upgrade and replace The Old One? Also I have not only 1 card graph. I have 2 graphics card which is AMD Radeon 8610 g + AMD Radeon 8670 m Dual Graphics. If I replace the current 8670 m can I Dual Graphics with 8610 g + 8770M? If it doesn't work for Dual Graphics what should I do? My Budget is about 100 + Dollar. I just really want to upgrade for my graphics today to a better because I want to play a H1Z1 called game and other games with graphics way and better performance. Also, do I need to change or get a new CPU, if I want to upgrade the graphics card 8770M? Please give me the best and the BEST answer. I will list on my CARD from my laptop AMD A - 10 5745M to 2.10 GHZ 4.00 GB Radeon HD graphics card memory DDR3 ram 1333 mhz AMD RADEON 8610 G + M 8670<--(Replacement or="" upgrade)="" dual="" graphics="" i="" hope="" anyone="" who="" is="" a="" genius="" on="" graphics="" respond="" on="" this.="" goodbye="" and="" see="" you="">

It does not take a genius. The answer is simply not and the reason is that the video system is part of the motherboard. There is no upgrade slot, where you can just plug something better and different. With a laptop, you're stuck pretty well with what the factory put there.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p119: USB charge, but does not sync devices

    Dear folk to HP support,

I have a situation very similar to the mentioned in this thread, the only difference is my OS: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Software-and-How-To-Questions/VGA-and-USB-Driver-Not-Working/m-...

With any device (iPad, Samsung Galaxy, FIIO x 1), if I plug it into my laptop the device starts to load, but is not synchronized and I can't access or transfer data between the laptop and the device.

I tried to disable the drivers and their reset. I tried to reset hard devices. None of these help.

This laptop came with pre-installed Windows 8.1. I have it wiped and now have a manually installed Windows 10 (64-bit). I have difficulties to find specific drivers. I used the HP support assistant and he tells me that everything is up to date. Windows tells me as the drivers are up to date, but I wonder if the drivers are generic and not specific to this laptop.

Where I find a better driver? Or are there other solutions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

If you have problems with the pilot USB3 support for your laptop and driver page, try one directly from Intel.

Download, unzip and run the exe to install.

When moving the computer screen forward or backward through 90 degree open point causes fine vertical lines to the display, the background becomes bluegreen and the black test becomes dark red.  Any ideas what causes this?

There is a connector loose somewhere. It is most likely a problem with the connection cable of the LCD Panel. There is really no solution other than to have the machine.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-f250: new SSD not recognized, Pavilion 17 AMD drivers

    Hello

I bought the laptop (HP Pavilion Notebook 17-f250) on September 2015 and this September 2016, I decided to upgrade with a 2nd SSD.

I bought a caddy, placed my SAMSUNG EVO 850 PRO inside, removed the optical drive and then place the CART inside the laptop. It fit perfectly, no problem there.

But Windows does not recognize it at all in MANAGEMENT OF DISKS.

It is not here in order to format it, etc...

My IDE/SATA appears as "AMD SATA CONTROLLER".

I can not find anywhere no possibility of enablev AHCI etc... My BIOS is not an option to check if the AHCI drivers are enabled or not.

With the AUTOMATIC DETECTION is my driver: AMD APU A4-6210 with graphics AMD RADEON R3.

My operating system is WINDOWS 10.

FYI, I bought another same SSD for my office and worked smoothly. I only have a problem with my laptop, and I can't figure out how to recognize the Windows SSD!

    BR,

    Dionisis

What caddy you bought? There are a lot of these on the market and some are not made with the highest quality control. You may have it tested with another hard drive?

Second, the interface for the optical drive is SATA which is ahci. The drivers are not the issue.

Finally, put an SSD in an optical drive is a little excessive spending from one optical drive interface is slower, so the speed of SSDS is wasted. It would be much better to put a regular hard drive large, slow in the optical Bay for storage. Having an SSD in there won't be fast in all directions. Also, a disc in an optical Bay will not be initiated.
