HP Pavilion Notebook n031sa 15: 15-n031sa of HP Pavilion Notebook does not

Hello people of the forum,

Hoping to get a pointer to what's wrong with my laptop here, confusing me at the moment. survey of my screen 3 days ago and it was if it was in mode 'sleep', I'd shut down the previous night properly, in any case, he tried to 'start' and after 4 seconds (power, wifi, HDD lights immediately) it seems extinguished, still powered from USB ports although close the lid, raise again and the same thing happens. "Tried all reset, battery, AC, just the battery thingys and everything off voltage then power button for 30 seconds, still the same, even he dismounted and pulled and replace the button battery, once again, the same thing happens, some times my log in is displayed or the diagnosis of windows momentarily if I furtively upwards on this subject and if I use a magnet above the power button it will be in operation again" Watch", this means a new power switch Board could fix? Sorry for the drawn out explanation, it is quite difficult to pen. PS It was well before he started this game, no sign of imminent disaster, and it's almost 3 years now so not guaranteed.

Yours gratefully,

Shaun (perplexed on)

You have a laptop. So try the right button on your touchpad. It work?
If so, the only remaining possibilities are:
    1. bad mouse. Get a new one.
    2. defective UBS port. Plug the mouse into a different port. See if the right click of the mouse works this time.

My Pavilion dv9005us does not light with or without the battery. I held the power to discharge remaining power, then plugged in the ac adapter shows blue light to the decision-making of the laptop, but none of the front lights light up. but I had already done all the things that you suggested and your advice was right on point, but the laptop is a 2005 model and in its release cost a fortune, I guess we got our money wrth although I could buy 4 destops for the price of the HP Pavillion dv9005, just want to I could get it to start , with his age, he is not a value of the repair costs.

But I so appreciated your answer... Viewied much my post but you were the only one to respond, sad for the HP forums. I went else where to get advice and got a lot of instant answers... If the laptop is still under warranty it would not have been a problem. I don't know that this model had a recal on this HP never does the model owners aware of the recall... What a pity so disappointed in HP. I bought a Lenovo y580 a year ago and I doubt that I'll never have problems with support.

I hate to complain, but still Ty

Remember, this is a users forum and questions are answered when you can be sure of the answer. I can say, on the one hand, if your system is an AMD-based system in the failures of graphic chipset Nvidia/AMD feared so your Board is most likely won't want to work more. Dv6000 and DV9000 HP have been candidate of choice for these chipset failures unless they have their video chipset fixed or replaced.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: Wireless Device on HP Pavilion Dv6 does not!

Hello! I'll start with my mobile information system (and please excuse my spelling and language because I am very frustrated at the moment and typing this on a cell phone)

It's a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with product number - B3K21PA #ABG. Serial number is 2CE2201C96. I have a Broadcom 4313GN 1 x 1 adapter Wi - Fi 802.11b/g/n according to my device manager. I recently chanhed my ISP and the wireless router, they provided is the Linksys E1200 model.

Now, on the problem - after the use of an extended internet (Skype call or internet games) my laptop just stops giving me access to the internet. And I say it like that because the internet connection icon shows that I have access to the network and internet connection, but none of my software or browsers are able to connect to the internet. This is the first time, she does. I tried updating the driver (both by checking the driver updates and downloading the drivers manually). I also tried system restore and everything I could think off trying to do a factory reset on the whole thing. And I should mention also - although this problem has happened several times now since I changed ISP (and Yes, I called them on this subject too), this currently seems to be permanent, because it has been hours and it still does not.

Any advice on what may be the problem or that the methods to try to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. I agree to be only moderately enough when it comes to operating a computer that I am not tech savvy kind, but have been using computers for a while now. For now, my current solution is a fall from my window on the 16th floor and see if that fixes anything. I'm not in my own country and the laptop is old a few years for technical support is hard to find.

I might be sounding a little passive aggressuve and I apologize for that (I have, however, do not deny these circumstances).

Thank you for reading through my wall of text of nonsense and condescend to help a poor fellow in his time of need.

    Yours sincerely.

  • Power cord IPS L: Hp monitor 23 inch HP Pavilion 23xw does not take to the office?

Good so I recently bought a new desktop computer HP and monitor, but does not have the cord that connects the monitor to the computer (I think that's what we call a vga?) or I guess that is not compatible.

The office, I ordered is a P5Q80AV of HP ENVY 750 #ABA_1 desktop PC
This is what looks like the back of it, and I guess the part surrounded by a circle is where I would plug the power cord of the monitor to the computer?

The monitor is a HP Pavilion 23xw 23 inch IPS LED backlit monitor J7Y75AA #ABA
    It's the rope

Am I missing something here, or do I have to return this and buy another monitor? Where can I get something else that will connect the monitor to the computer?

I apologize if this sounds stupid, I'm just not tech savy.

Your graphics card HDMI, it seems that your monitor is also.

So, you can use an HDMI cable to connect your PC to your monitor.

Or you will need a VGA adapter DVI [masculine] [man].

The top connector is DVI - D [Dual Link] and only supports digital displays.

The lower connector is DVI - I [double link] and support a display either analog or digital.

  • Pavilion dv6: computer HP pavilion laptop does not start and I do not see the screen because it's broken

I have the HP pavilion computer laptop windows 7 and I broke the screen about a year, I can't see the start menus. I have been using an external monitor and it has always worked well, but now I can't see how to fix my computer to boot.  I did a hard boot but nothing happened, and with a broken screen, I can't see any of my options on how to fix it.  It does not start.  Looks like it is, but because I don't see the menu F8 or Boot, I can't call themselves that the screen can be done.  Help, please.

    Hello @SPKaler,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums, I would like to draw your attention to the HP Forums Guide first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I read your post on the issue with the laptop won't start does not and wanted to help you!  I understand that the screen is damaged and you are using the external monitor to view the screen.  However, now that the laptop does not start, you can see is more of the external screen to see what is happening.

From my understanding, you should not be able to see an image on the external monitor, until you start the operating system.  You can try to perform a system restore by using this document:

HP computers - performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

You may be able to follow along, long enough until the image is displayed on the external monitor.  Otherwise, you can contact HP support by phone, for additional options.

  • Pavilion G6 does not connect to the cellular device

I have a Pavilion G6 with Windows 7 OS, which is used as a mobile data terminal. I am trying to use my iPhone Verizon 5 c to connect to a hotspot. All my other HP laptops connect to this phone without problem, but the G6 does not connect to the internet via the phone with cable, wifi or bluetooth. The G6 recognizes the phone and shows it in "unspecified devices." I tried everything to get it to connect without success.

    Hey RC800,.

    Thanks for the info.

I forgot to ask before, can you tell me the exact model specifications what do you use? For more information on the search for your model and product numbers, click here: How can I find my model number or product number?

If the laptop connects to other devices, we can say that the material is very good. If he does not see the iPhone theres only a few things you can try. The adapter in your laptop is probably 802.11 g capable which is the minimum requirement for the hotspot iPhone, so we can exclude.

    Please, try the following:

Turn off the power to the adapter:
    1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
    2. expand the network adapters.
    3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
    4. click on the power management tab.
5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    6. click on OK.
    7 test cycle.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

    Reinstall the NIC drivers:
    1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
    2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
    3. expand network adapters.
    4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
    6. restart your PC and test.

    Test another iPhone connection:
Explicit. This will tell us if it's only an incompatibility with a phone or any iPhone hotspot. Try a hotspot Android will help narrow things down as well.

Let me know if this helps.

  • Pavilion dv9743cl does not turn on

I have a pavilion that has been through the issuance of nVidia and replaced the motherboard.  After a few weeks, the laptop will not light.  All the entertanment light up, the fan works and the liight hard drive lights up for a few seconds.  It seems that the POST does not run as long as the lock to Caps Lock/Num Lock/scroll normal that flashes to do not.  (It is a different behavior than when the GPU has failed).  I did the hard reset, removed, cleaned and reinstalled DRAM, checked the readers of sting in a borrowed netbook and still cannot get it.  Anyone have any other ideas?  Thank you.

Based on the information provided, it sounds like a system board failure since the POST tests do not complete and everything that can be called in place has been reinstalled including a hard reset.

Just to confirm, the hard reset has been achieved by cutting everything (including the charger and battery) and now the power button for a full minute?

If the motherboard has been replaced in the last 90 days, you can try to contact HP to look at have served again. I am not sure for locations outside the United States, but HP generally has a limited warranty on the components repaired or replaced. It may be interesting to look into.

    HP laptop Pavilion 15 PC - product number: F4T58EA #ABU - 10 family 64-bit Windows

    Hi all

I have recently upgraded to windows 10 and had not had any problems until one evening internet dropped out. After a while I realized the wifi adapter did not work. I tried to update the driver, nothing helps. The unit displays under working properly in Device Manager but does not appear in the network connection settings.

I tried a system restore point that solved the problem but then Windows 10 updates (updated critical around 23 September 15) and wifi no longer works again. I noticed there was recently a couple of new updates of the driver (sp72517), but these have not solved the problem.

I can still connect to the Internet using a LAN cable, but need help need help I can't easily use a LAN due to the location of routers. I've updated the Hp Wizard and I tried troubleshooting etc but still no joy.

The elbow of any help would be appreciated gratefully.

    Thanks TT

    Hi all

I managed to find a solution to this problem online, don't know how or why it worked, but it solved my problem and I hope that it might help others.

I uninstalled and deleted the files from the wireless driver, then uninstalled Kaperskey and restarted my laptop. Then I went into Device Manager and manually updated the network drivers (think I might have restarted again here) and sucsess hey presto, all that remained to do was to reinstall kaperskey.

Hope this helps someone else with a problem with wifi Realtek Pavilion.
