HP Pavilion P 7-1414: HP monitor

I upgraded my desktop computer of Windows 8 to 10.  Everything seems to work except my monitor when I turn away for a second, when I turn around, the page is not there, where I left it on, it's a grey color, but when I move my mouse it turns back on. Then I have to sign in and the page I left is there. As for example if I wanted to copy a recipe on the net, and I'm the copy by hand, I have to move the mouse every little second. I don't have a screen saver. And that's what he is like, if you had a screen saver that he'd jump him.

HP W2072a monitor

Hi there @Stumped6

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that after upgrade to Windows 10 whites out display after a short time, as a screensaver. I'm happy to help you with this.

Have you tried to install the video driver in compatibility mode?

By chance did you touch the display as screen saver settings?

It may be something in the sleep and Hibernate power options. Find out what follows that runs several possible causes and also suggests the HP Support Assistant, if there is a driver problem in the game. Give it a try.

HP computers - sleep and Hibernate issues (Windows, 10, 8)

Just in case it's something to do with the screen saver setting, see the following topics. It may be useful to set a screen saver with a duration of 15 minutes to see if there is no change.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414 connection LCD monitor & projector problem

I bought a HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414 with Windows 8, for my church, which came standard with 2 DVI ports. I attach a LCD monitor to 1 Port and a projector to another. Start the computer and both screens remained blank. I disconnect me the projector, restart the computer and the monitor running normally. I then connect the projector in the other port and it works as expected. However, when I restart the poster blank rest until I have do as above. I also reset the BIOS to the default settings, and both screen and projector came fine. Yet once, when I restarted, same problem. I manually set the resolution for both devices. Problem remains - every time that I reboot, displays may not run until I disconnect the projector, reboot, and after successful reboot, reconnect the projector. Any suggestions?

Thank you for running these tests and getting back to me. I think that it is prudent to exclude at this stage of material. I have two options for you to try.

I would like you to reinstall the graphics driver.

Press the Windows key + Q to bring up the search

    Type 'unit'

    Click on Device Manager

    Expand graphics cards

    Double-click Intel

Click the driver tab and click the uninstall

    Restart the computer

Windows will automatically detect the missing driver and reinstall it on reboot. Once you are in the start screen of Windows, shutdown, connect two screens (a screen and a projector or two monitors, anyway) the computer turn on and I would like to know what the results are.

I would also try both screens set before to turn on/off mode safe. You may need to press and hold the ESC key lighting to get the option come up, instead of SHIFT F8 as set out in section. Take a look at this article to get the procedure start mode safe. Let me know what you find

  • 23xi HP Pavilion laptop audio cutting external monitor

I want to use my monitor HP Pavilion 23xi as an external monitor to my laptop (Sony Vaio, Windows 7).  The laptop has only a HDMI connection, so I used a HDMI cable to connect it.  The HP Monitor works fine, but when it is connected, it cuts all the audio outputs on the laptop.  There is no sound the internal on the portable speaker or the headphone connection.

If the HDMI connection automatically resumes the audio output, probably it would take at least a headphone jack on the PC?  I can not change the type of connection, because the laptop has only HDMI to an external monitor.  Y at - it no configuration changes will correct this?

    Hello

As you said, the HDMI sound can resume sound, disable audio HDMI can help. Pleae try:

    • Right-click the "speaker" icon
    • Select playback device
    • Click with the right button on HDMI sound and turn it off

What are the benefits of the HP Pavilion 25xi on the HP Pavilion x 2511 monitors and vice versa?

The 25xi IPS LED backlit monitor has the following features:

    • VGA, DVI - D and HDMI™ inputs

    • BrightView Panel

    • Supports High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) to prevent the transmission of unencrypted content high definition

    • Plug and Play capability, if supported by your computer system

    • On-screen display (OSD) adjustments for ease of installation optimization and screen

    • Security lock

  • HP pavilion 23-b225d while a monitor screen

    Hello

I just bought a hp pavilion 23-b225d all in one office.

the seller told me that the monitor is monitor full hd LED, so I bought it but when I get home.

I checked again with the HP official website, it is said "(23-inch) LCD screen high-definition display.

now im so confused. in fact, the screen is LED full HD or hd LCD?

    Please confirm. thanxs much

According to the specifications of all-in-one HP Pavilion 23 - b225d desktop , the screen is a "58,42 cm (23 inches) high-definition LCD display.» It is a Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) screen with a wide viewing angle field.

Almost all flat screens HD are the LCD. Almost all flat screens LCD need a source of light, called a "backlight". This 'backlight' can be same edgelit LED, LED or CCFL (fluorescent). In addition, some manufacturers use the term WLED (white LED) instead of LED. Today, most lighting is done with LEDs, and quite possibly your screen is an LCD display with LED backlighting.

Don't let the terminology trip you :-)

I don't want to spend a lot on the graphics card that this computer is about 6 years old; just enough to get a Setup dual monitor works.

    Hello

The AMD 5450 in PC graphics card will support multiple monitors (VGA, HDMI and DVI).  The 5450 also supports AMD EyeFinity which allows bear monitors of odd size (different resolutions).

You will get best results by using digital connections to the monitors.  It would be DVI HDMI for w2207 HP and Viewsonic.

If you have specific questions about AMD EyeFinity, please consult the ATI/AMD forums.

Good luck and thanks for posting on the HP Forum.

  • Pavilion d4100y powers, but the monitor is blank and CD player will not open

When I turned on the desktop computer today, it seemed to turn on, but nothing came on the monitor.  Normally, I can hear the disc turns, but it was pretty quiet.  I couldn't open the trays of CD player, even though he was technically under tension.  I tried to connect a different monitor with the same results.  I also tried the reinstallation of the material inside the desktop computer to make sure that everything had a secure connection.  No luck.  I tried to reset the BIOS with the keyboard steps (such as listed on hp.com), but I'm not sure that the keyboard has been recognized.

I read a few other posts that mention replacing the power supply or the motherboard, but it wasn't a specific situation.  I would like suggestions.  Thank you.

  • Pavilion P7-1120: new necessary monitor - about connection

My monitor is dead (6 years), so I need a new.  Support HP told me that I had to get one with a dvi - d and vga cable.  Most new monitors have both of these connections.  The VGA is necessary - I dvi - d connection.  Do I need a new computer to get the appropriate for the hdmi connection?

    Mike, welcome to the forum.

Because your computer has a DVI - D port, you can simply us for the connection.  You don't need VGA, also.  If you want to use the HDMI, you can buy a USB 2.0 to HDMI video adapter.  StarTech makes these adapters.  If you decide to go in this direction, I suggest you contact their Custome Service to ensure that you get the right adapter.
