I bought this laptop from your company pavilion p077tx 3 weeks... in starting up, it worked fine, but now, every time when I turn it on it hangs after 5 minutes, I have to use the power button to turn it off... What do I do?

Hi @shubhamgarg08,.

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your issues of 15-p077tx HP Pavilion Notebook and with the gel.  Here is a document that could help reset your laptop power management. Choose the recommended settings for your laptop.

You will need to do the same thing for the power sector and battery.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

  • Pavilion 15-p077TX: my HP Pavilion p077TX 15 notebook freezes when moved from its position

Whenever I move my laptop from its position, it freezes. As I kept my phone on my bed and I pick it up and place it on my lap then it crashes / freezes. So every time I have to remove the battery and put it again whenever this happens. Sometimes twice a day. It gets really frustrating whenever you do something important. So what I can make of this is that whenever I move the laptop to a certain speed, it freezes, it means that something inside it moves from its ideal location (doesn't happen when I move it very slowly).

Any cause of definte and the solution?

  • HP pavilion always freezes

A year ago, I bought a hp pavilion dm4-3055 and today it freezes still, even if I'm just using a browser and the only thing I can do when it freezes is it to manual stop. Please help me.

    Hello

You may as well leave the full memory test, however 'Hard drive 1 full' is a disk failure complete Self Test and indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the freezing issue you describe.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

  • computer portable Pavilion dm1 freezes after appearance of the Office

HP Pavilion dm1 mini laptop computer Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition.  Freezes the shortly after the desktop appears - no response from any action of the mouse or the keyboard.  Wireless signal-meter at the bottom right shows the circle of rotation and does not seem to connect, but turn off Wireless (button) has little effect.  At the restoration of the system to return two updates.  Antivirus software is uninstalled.  Memory test OK.  CHKDSK OK.  Works perfectly in safe mode with network.  No error message.  No new software installed recently.  Worked fine on October 7 - no symptoms of imminent failure.   Can you suggest a next step?

The problem spontaneously resolved itself last night.  After a week of troubleshooting and research, the laptop is not cold as it had been.  Still, it worked fine in safe mode, but would freeze after Normal reboot.  I have not changed anything in these last days, other than to restart several times, in SAFE and NORMAL mode.  Finally this morning it worked normally without freezing during the night.  Not sure that the problem could be.  Made several updates to Java and Windows without problem.

It seems that when Windows has been improved to 10 he changed my touchpad settings (without asking). Changed Windows 'Delay MEANS' setting. I went to the settings and changed so that there is 'NO DELAY (ALWAYS ON)' and that seems to have solved the problem.

After a search internet I found that this problem is caused by the driver Ralink Bluetooth and common

I'm also thinking that I can boot windows successfully when I disable virtualization BIOS, so I logged on windows and I have tried a few solutions

    1. Disable Bluetooth device-> does not

2 - Install the latest Ralink driver-> does not

    3. Remove VEN_1814 & DEV_3298 & SUBSYS_18EC103C & REV_00-> work but the returned key after that restart so I have to delete this key, everytime I open windows, and more that's a problem with virtual switches on Hyper-V

    Any solution permanent please?

    Hello

Which driver Ralink, have you tried?

I discovered Mediatek drivers which are no longer updated.

Not sure if that helps in your case with Visual Studio.

    • All open windows are "reduced" (on the dock, they show also open)
    • My desktop turns black and has no basis on this subject
    • The mouse goes to the center of the screen
    • The mouse and keyboard freeze

  • Pavilion DV6 freezes but passes the Tests of memory and HARD drive

I have a dv6-3025dx that the POST is fine. It does not start after the screen 7 start, the recovery Partition loading bar or a Windows 7 recovery disk loading bar. The HP Vision diagnostic and a drive OEM 7 freeze as well. Start with a Ubuntu DVD displays icon on the keyboard at the bottom then nothing else than a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen. The HARD drive and memory in the BIOS Tests pass but the start-up Test, the Burn-in Test and the Test of memory in the partition the disk diagnostic all freeze immediately.

I reset BIOS, change the RAM with known working sticks and clone the HDD on a well known player and still get the same result. I had to clone the drive from a different machine, because Acronis True Image 2011 boot disk crashes after the splash screen. A 3rd party BACK base RAM and HDD tests pass with flying colors; including Windows, MemTest86 Memory Diagnostic + and video memory Stress test. Basically, I can't start any GUI environment. only of DOS or Linux command line. I'm guessing that maybe the video chip? Ideas or confirm my diagnosis?

    Thank you!

You make text based OSes seem to work well. This could mean that the video card is at fault with loads greater than the bare.

However, it could also be a SATA controller flaw that does not correctly handle the load. There is really no way to test this reliable I found.

No matter whether the video controller or the controller SATA, the result is the same and that is replace the motherboard. If it was office, a SATA PCI-based controller can be purchased cheap enough to exclude it. However, this is not an option here.

It really isn't too much other material in a notebook that is involved in the boot process and most of the material is soldered to the motherboard.

    I'm sorry.

  • HP Pavilion XP freezes up, nothing does.

My first Question.  something is not. my computer is slowing down, when the whirring noise starts the cpu goes to 100% and everything stops. Hulu will freeze when I finally try and stop and restart. to get the hum (fan) to stop, it takes forever to close. If I go into the Task Manager after that IE is not responding, process, he says iexeplorer.exe is 99. Idon't know what this means, but I have three iexplore.exe in process using 152 992 K of memory, one to 166 850 K memory and other 1 676 k memory. would be - that why I get the use of the high memory by IE, warning.    Thanks rvm

  • HP Pavilion HDX9200 freezing with the new drivers for NVIDIA GeForce 8800 M GTS 512 MB

Hello. IM really having trouble updating my NVIDIA video players. Now, I have the drivers following computer (Vista drivers) for my Windows 7 operating system. 167.53 version.

I tried different versions: 257.21, 267.76, 270.61 and 275.33. But when I use this driver, the system freezes just after a short period of use. The only way to restart is to kill all power (Start Reset).

I looked into events in the system, but it does not generate some error codes (probably it freezes before it doesn't).

It's very irritating, as the new games may not work under this old driver.

Anyone with some kind of solutions?

Here is my info to my current driver:

  • Pavilion 6138 freezes during recovery

I have a Pavilion 6138sc and I tried to restore the system several times (with the recovery CD). Each time that the recovery block at the exact same place. Once the hard drive has been formatted and the system has been installed, the computer restarts and begins to prepare to start for the first time. Then it hangs after 30 seconds. Every time! I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this problem.

I removed the chart and activated the embedded chart and now it works! Big_Dave, thanks for your efforts and your conclusion that something was wrong by the graphics hardware. Bravo!

Maybe I should ask this in another forum, but you have a suggestion for a budget graphics card which corresponds to my computer (Pavilion 6138.sc)? There is a cable that connects the card to the motherboard, do I have to use this cable to a new card too?

    Once again, thank you!
