HP Pavilion Slimline computer Office S5610F - drivers Windows XP
Hello HP Forum,
My father recently bought a HP Pavilion Slimline S5610F desktop, refurbished and wants that I format and install Windows XP. I was wondering if this is possible? In the past, I have sought answers from this forum and have always made to answers and help I've gotten. I know that it is already harder to find drivers with my Compaq a few years ago, so I can only imagine that XP drivers are still harder to find now.
Thank you in advance to help you with this matter.
Stéphane
Hi, Stéphane:
Sorry, none of these drivers were working. I took a bet on them being identical to that of a PC HP Pro 3125 which had the same chipset.
Try the driver for chipset southbridge AMD from AMD (first listed file).
http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/raid_windows.aspx#3
The image you posted will take awhile to get through.
In the meantime, you can try the audio drivers / Realtek network on the Realtek site:
Audio
Accept the agreement. Download and install the file 6th on the list (first in green).
Network: Try the 4th on the list.

Pavilion slimline 450 - a24: hp Pavilion slimline is not upgraded to windows 10
I just got the pc hp pavilion slimline Tuesday. She has windows 8.1. I did all the windows updates yesterday the flag that shows you can upgrade to windows 10 wasn't there. After research, we found that a file called "kb2976978" is the update, you must have windows 10. So we tried to install it and I get the message "this file is not applicable to your pc. So now I don't know how to get windows update 10. The requirements of the upgrade, I have on the pc. Any suggestions please? Thank you, (ps I reserve a copy at a month or there are 10 windows)
I tried the link but got a page cannot be found? However, I saw an article on Forbes online which has a link that will automatically install windows 10 and you don't have to wait for it to do so in the background. However, thanks for your help.

HP Pavilion Slimline computer of office: HP Support Assistant Tune up and Health Analysis
I'm becoming exasperated by the regular failures reported during the monthly HP Support Assistant Tune up or analyses of health on my HP Pavilion Slimline desktop computer. The display disappears usually before I do a screen grab. But today, I got the following:
So why the analysis of health is failing? I don't know if all relevant diagnostic report is placed on my computer. If they are produced, so I don't know where to find them.Or do I have a version of corrupt/out-of-day of the Support Assistant software?
Or y at - it an explanation?
I would be grateful for any light. Thank you.
Brian, welcome to the forum.
I can't give you a good explanation for the problems you are having. It is probably a bug in the software. I had very similar problems when using Windows Update. Do not install the updates without apparent reason.
Here is the Official Site for HPSA. I have suggrest by downloading and installing the latest version. You must uninstall the current version before you start. I'd be happy to hear the result.
Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

Hello:
I still do not see a W10 to the broadcom bluetooth device driver.
Have you tried the W8.1 driver?
This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver for the notebook models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth driver is necessary to enable the Bluetooth of Broadcom devices.

Pavilion e9107c: 10 dvd/cd drivers windows
My PC has a DVD/CD Hitachi GH40L which worked fine in Windows 7, but is not recognized by Windows 10. It starts from the CD, but does not appear in the device driver. I went through the process of Regedit to remove the top from the bottom & filters and removed and replaced the drive.
I managed to find the solution for my problem. This could be a help to others with the same problem. Enter the command-line as administrator and type:
Reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" / f/v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001
Then reboot and the drive should now be discovered by Device Manager and work perfectly.

I'm writing to a friend... None of us is particularly in computer science.
Recently, his computer had to be replaced; so, she bought a used HP Pavilion Slimline, 400-034 PC with Windows 8 OS (not sure that all the operating system to 64-bit... just guessing). The PC seems to work very well; However, with its previous system she used a printer (HP 7410 All in One) and a webcam (HP-HD-HD3110 & HD 3100). She can't get either auxiliary to work devices. Can anyone tell me if these components are compatible and that, if so, wherever it can access drivers or other software that may be required.
Also, would you recommend that she has first upgrade to Windows 10?
Thank you
Terry
Hello Terry,
A Windows 8 driver must be installed to use the printer on the new PC.
You can either upgrade to Windows 10 or not, the printer is compatible with both operating systems and it is a matter of personal preference...
For 7410 printers, drivers can be downloaded from the following link:
Note: If the printer is connected to a USB port, unpulg the cable from your PC now.
In the devices Panel and printers and select remove device for the icon of the printer before installing the software.
Regarding the HP Webcam, I'm afraid that it's incompatible with Windwos 8.1 or Windows 10, it is only supported on Widnows 7 or earlier operating systems:
http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Web-cameras/4172393/model/4172477/document/c03162257#AbT1
You try to install the drivers for Windows 7 by using Compatibility Mode (download the file to your computer, right click and select Troubleshoot Compatibility and then follow the steps on the screen) but it has never tested on Windows 8 or 10 and if it works not you replace the webcam with a model more late which is compatible with the operating system.

Kind regards

I just want to know if any am2 + / am3 processors will work with this computer.
I could find only a proccessor am2 but I do not trust any other sites then amd itself wich doesn't am2 processors do more
Newegg wich ofc cannot sell what is not done more
and tigerdirect which is the same case.
If only I had the money to buy a pc with a new am3 motherboard. \
Hello
Here are the specifications of your PC (s5623w).
In theory, these processors AMD Socket AM2 + rated 95 watts should work. I would stay away from the 'B' models

Pavilion Slimline 400: Installation problem
I tried in vain to install my old Bejeweled game on my brand new HP Pavilion Slimline 400 office. No matter how many times I clicked on the Install of the game on my screen button, nothing happened. Oddly, I had no problem installing the same game on my laptop. The computer is running Windows 7, while the desktop is running Windows 8.1 (I don't know if it's 32-bit or 64-bit). The version of Windows would have something to do with it? Is there something I can do?
If you can read the whole page, you will notice that the OS is Win7. No mention of Win8. You can find new versions for WIN8 on the web.

Clock/calendar do not reset on HP Pavilion Slimline s3400f PC desktop
Clock and calendar do not reset. I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3400f desktop PC running Windows Vista SP2. After I have shut down the computer and it reboot later, the clock shows the time when he was arrested. The calendar setting also restores the wrong month and year. I tried to reset the clock/calendar several times by HP 'Help' instructions, but when I reboot, the parameter has not taken effect. All solutions?
Some parameters of time and the date are usually caused by the CMOS battery.
