HP Pavilion Slimline s5304y strange behavior and stops randomly

To start, here is my card:

HP Pavilion Slimline s5304y

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1 Build 7601

AMD Athlon II X processor 2 215

4 GB of RAM, blah blah blah

Here are the symptoms:

-Win7 starts to act strangely, when the keys are depressed they'll keep recording (like that, but forever)

-Then it will attempt to force the closure but I keep open Word 2007, which will block the closure and I gives me the option to cancel or to force stop word.

-J' I usually Cancel to see what it does, sometimes it continues to operate normally, sometimes, attempts to stop become more frequent until it ask no more, and Word cannot veto the shutdown request.

-When I look at the Event Viewer system, he says he is told what USER (me) has launched the stop, as if it were normal.

-A little more digging in the event viewer application section says that before stopping, "HP Support Assistant Service" had a "PowerEvent handled successfully by the service" with EventRecordID of 10883.

-Meet system Event ID 109

Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power

EventRecordID 45150

-Meet

"The process C:\Windows\System32\winlogon.exe (USER) has launched the power off computer USER for the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM account for the following reason: no title for this reason could be found.

Reason code: 0x500ff

Type of closure: power off

EventID: 1074

[Qualification] 32768

There is no indication that something went WRONG minidump, no discharges of any sort, sfc/scannow ran own just like chkdsk, memtest, tester of windows 7 and all other diagnostic tools.

He did it before, but very rarely, so I thought nothing of it (which happened in the spans of the months apart) but now happened several times a day.

Recent software additions:

Installing the software and drivers Lexmark Prospect Pro205

-Updated Nvidia graphics drivers Geforce 6150SE nForce 430 to 8.17.12.9573 and it's Helper service ver 295,73

What I did to try to rectify the situation:

-Scanned with each virus/malware free scan in existence - deleted an infected file from Java Java/CVE-2011-3544. O operate. And another unrelated to the advertising program.

-Updated HP Assistant and Advisor

-Updated several times with various updates for windows 7

-Clean the case thought it was overheating, but nope - clean as a whistle, normal running time

-Good fans checked

-Extract from food - looked good, constant voltage

I haven't checked the power extension cables. I heard there is a problem with shorting out on the 24-pin extensions, but I didn't have an extension of 24 pins on the power cables.

I've heard others have had problems with HP stopping randomly with a strange behavior, so I wanted to see what you guys have to say.

Could this be problems of power with my house? The wiring is old... Or more likely is a short circuit in the cable/PSU?

How can I easily repair/test of this theory?

-All right, so the system restore has nothing but destroy some files, because I couldn't not correctly backup the drive between the random stops.

However, I found the solution to my problem, that you won't believe.

Short answer: I replaced the stock HP keyboard (model KU-0841) who seems to have been short.

The long answer:

-When the computer kept shutting down even in safe mode after a destructive recovery, I started watching again material.

-Noticed my typing would sometimes record, sometimes just go crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy (like this).

-Then comes the keyboard no longer works. Thus, while the veto stops with WORD 2007 and using the keyboard on the screen in Win7, I thought it was a terrible virus - it wasn't.

-When I unplugged the USB keyboard it's a strange electric 'bzz' sound, like what you hear when static is unloaded. It turns out that the USB port has been be short-circuited by the keyboard.

On the keyboard and the USB plug was going well, so I don't know who is to blame again, however - if someone is having the same weird problems with events of the power of the nucleus and 1074 with 0x500ff errors-try to check your hardware.

After replacing the keyboard, everything works perfectly.

    Hello

    I use my hp pavilion slimline s3760in pc for about five years. Recently my hard drive failed and I had to replace.

The Usb ports now generally work fine, but now when I connect to the internet, none of my browsers can disply any page, even other programs cannot connect to the internet, although it shows that I am connected to the internet.

    Is it a hardware problem or just windows?

    I'm looking for opinions. I have a big screen of 3 year, Y550. The hinges are is detached and has finally folded the video cable a year ago, the battery is dead, and (perhaps because of the set video cable) it sometimes stops suddenly when the screen is in certain positions. Have been plug on an external monitor, I really want a laptop works again.

    My main concern is the latest of the questions. I don't want to spend the money to restore the laptop and just continue off suddenly. Think you that the video cable and stop are related? • Pavilion SLimline s5-1554: can I stop the Windows 10 "free" upgrade does not happen?

    I installed upgrading Windows 10 and worked well for a while. I accidentally uninstalled an update to the Intel driver and a few other programs and restarted the computer. He returned and said he had to do anther windows update - when he finished he stops. I turned again once and nothing. 2 fans to run and it sounds like HARD disk drives to start - but is not complete. Answer sheet Virgin screen, no keyboard or mouse. I went through trouble shooting HP together, removed battery CMOS, popped it (got the blue power lights come back), but still nothing else.

    Read another forum, I see where the free update to win 10 raises motherboards FRY as Μatx H-Joshua H61, 696233-001 motherboard may not consider them.  I wonder if I replace the motherboard, reload the original OS (I already bought the recovery disks from HP that I thought it was my original problem) Windows 8, if everything will be ok.

    I want to stop the automatic upgrade to win 10 again will fry the motherboard.

    Any thoughts or the next steps for action or other help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Greetings,

    I can barely stomach having a motherboard to fry due to an upgrade of the operating system.

    I guess it's possible, and if it is true, maybe it's time for a class action. You can contact MS support but they will blame HP.

    Was the Intel one driver graphics driver? Use the integrated graphics card?

    If so, you have a slot PCIex16 2.0. Buy a graphics card to modestly low price profile, plug it into the slot.

    If you added discreet graphics then remove the card and try the graphics card integrated.

    Start the PC. You can get the video.

    The motherboard has USB 2.0 supports so pulling the battery and reset CMOS using the jumper pins should correct the problems of USB 2.0.

    This nifty little program,never 10, stops Win 10 upgrades.

    You must use the same motherboard model, that you now if you want to install Windows using the HP recovery kit. The motherboard must be tattooed by HP or HP Recovery kit will fail.

    First try the graphics card option.

    See you soon!

    When I go to print a web page (example a car rental reservation confirmation or IRS form) is really small or cut straight to the page that prints.  Sometimes Preview Panel shows the page correctly and sometimes shows it's small or cut off.  I thought it was my printer, but replaced it and same thing.  I watched all settings, etc. that I can find (not very inside warned computer) but can not understand.

    @fareye

    A large part of what you can do depends on the printer / printer software you are using, the browser you use to view and submit the print job and the version of your operating system.

    There are a couple of obvious settings which could help in the case of a print job that is not 'enter on the page' - no doubt you have found and used 'Reduced to adjust' (wording varies).  Firefox also offers an additional parameter, "reduced to fit the page width.

    Examples - wording may vary:

    Firefox > file > [Print] > print preview >

    Page introduction > Format & Options tab > CHECK  Adjust the width of the page

    OR

    Firefox > file > [Print] > print preview >

    Scale: > options percentage OR shrink to fit

    There are no rules that say a web developer must use some formats and rules in order to facilitate your printing life - some web content is superb and then made to the hash by your software and your printer print because the nice content cannot be translated on paper.

    What should do?

    • According to 'the thing which do not print' format, you may download the document and print it after you open on your computer.  PDFs sometimes respond to this strategy.
    • Print 'difficult to print' and "won't print" documents and other centent of web as "images".

  • HP pavilion slimline s3632me graphic card problem

    It's my computer: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01552288 & lang = to & cc = us & conte...

    my graphics card has a fan that is not working, and I don't get any signal on my monitor after 20 minutes of start... so I decided to get a new graphics card which is better.

    so I want to know what is the max graphics card that I can put in this computer and should I go for the same type (AC express graphics card) or get any type that can work with the computer?

    Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s3632me desktop computer and its card mother M2N61-AR (Acacia). Based on the specifications, this model has a power of 160 watts, a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS PCIe x 16 HDMI and DVI - I outputs and integrated nVidia GeForce 6150SE graphics with a VGA output. Note that the discreet graphics card and the built-in graphics card is not usable at the same time.

    You need to replace the graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS PCIe x 16 with a x 16 low profile PCIe graphics card (the card must have a power system recommend assessment of 160 watts or less). All purchased card that has a higher recommended system power supply requirement will require the purchase of a new power supply, follow the recommendations in cards. Your computer's power supply is not a standard ATX power supply and can be difficult to find.

    Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s5706f desktop computer and its card mother H-apricot-RS780L-Μatx (apricot). According to the specification, this model does not have a PCIe x 16 graphics card slot or any other slot for graphics card for this question. This system is unable to accept a graphics card. The motherboard contains only two slot PCIe x 1 which are not really evaluated for graphics cards.

  • redeclenchables strange behavior digital output

    I created a redeclenchables digital dashboard task (finished) digital output as follows: (in DAQmx C)

    DAQmxCreateDOChan(_taskHandle,"/Dev2/port0/line6","",DAQmx_Val_ChanPerLine);
    DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming (_taskHandle, "" / Dev2/Ctr0InternalOutput ", _clockRate, DAQmx_Val_Rising, DAQmx_Val_FiniteSamps, static_cast (_sampleCount)");
    DAQmxCfgOutputBuffer (_taskHandle, static_cast (_sampleCount));
    DAQmxCfgDigEdgeStartTrig (_taskHandle, "/ Dev2/PFI4", DAQmx_Val_Rising ");

    DAQmxCfgImplicitTiming (_taskHandleCO, DAQmx_Val_ContSamps, _numSamples);
    DAQmxStartTask (_taskHandleCO);

    When I run the task without redeclenchables parameter, it output a correct signal. However, if I run with redeclenchables it out almost exactly 2 times faster than normal. For example, a pulse whose width of 10 ms became 5 ms and repeats again to be 2 pulses of 5 ms. This is repeatable, no matter how much or how fast triggers provided.

    My card is PCIe-6363. I do not know what causes this strange behavior, and I hope someone can help on this.

    Thank you.

    It disappears after reset configuration. Might be interesting for future reviews.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline computer Office S5610F - drivers Windows XP

    Hello HP Forum,

    My father recently bought a HP Pavilion Slimline S5610F desktop, refurbished and wants that I format and install Windows XP. I was wondering if this is possible? In the past, I have sought answers from this forum and have always made to answers and help I've gotten. I know that it is already harder to find drivers with my Compaq a few years ago, so I can only imagine that XP drivers are still harder to find now.

    Thank you in advance to help you with this matter.

    Hi, Stéphane:

    Sorry, none of these drivers were working. I took a bet on them being identical to that of a PC HP Pro 3125 which had the same chipset.

    Try the driver for chipset southbridge AMD from AMD (first listed file).

    http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/raid_windows.aspx#3

    The image you posted will take awhile to get through.

    In the meantime, you can try the audio drivers / Realtek network on the Realtek site:

  • Has anyone ever met a strange behavior layer blend modes?

    I use a little photoshop for retouching and photo compositing. Tonight, I met a strange problem. I tried create a vintage photo look and had a number of adjustment layers, including a curves, levels, fill color and there was also that some layers of texture and noise all the value of the different opacities. To the top of all of this I had a layer of tile that was black on the edges and white in the Center, on the mode of multiplication of mixture. Well, when I was clicking on and turned off, I realize that this layer of the tile was certainly lighten the central part of the whole image a little (the part which is white on the layer of the tile), almost like a screen. So I hit the thumbnail by different modes of opacity layer and saw that there was no change in his behavior, each mode has screening white, darker color and multiply. I thought that perhaps he was interacting in a weird way with an other diapers so I have not disabled all the others except the back ground - still no change. Then I dropped the layer to the bottom of the after another until it was less than the background. When I started back up again, he behaved normally for a while until that I moved it to the top of some levels in the stacking order, and then he returned to the behavior of the screen. Anyway, I mixed it autour a bit but there was no thick when it would appear correct opacity and when he wouldn't, so it doesn't seem to be any specific layer interaction. I don't know, but I don't see really no case where white multiply together should produce a lighter result even if it were interacting with a different opacity. In any case it seems to me that there is something to do with the overall calculation of the opacities. I tried to create a new layer black and white and it was also do the same, strange behavior and do not correct opacity.

    I'm tired, so I'm going to bed. I'll turn off the computer and hope it goes further when I reboot, but if it isn't, doesn't that sound familiar to anyone? I'm not a regular visitor to this forum, but I thought I'd put it out there in case someone else has experienced something like this. I did that 5 gigabytes of ram on this computer and I worked there for a while... maybe that photoshop could not keep just up (?) I use Photoshop CS5, space colorimetric RGB Adobe 1998.  I never had something like this happen in the past eleven years, I've been using photoshop. Hmmm... hope I don't have to reinstall or call support or worse. I cross my fingers.

    The layer is in a group of layers have an other than to pass through blending Mode?

  • Strange behavior with subtraction

    I have an application that uses three timers to control various events. Three timers stop and start each other according to various digital relationships. I have three functions that differ only by the numbers that correspond to what timer uses what var. It is function1 (): void {value1 = this1-var1;}, function2 (): Sub {value2 = imperatifs2 - var2;}, function3 (): Sub {cela3 - ;} var3 = value3 But for some strange reason when function3 cela3 - var3 timer starts and stops randomly (it's not really random, but I don't know what it is caused by, I checked). When I wrote the functions, they originally had it? + var? and all three worked, but were the bad values. It had to be? -var? and when I made the change to function1 in the first instance, it wouldn't work either. After about 7 to 8 trials suddenly Flex '? not forget how escape? "he started to work and it does what it should. So I applied the same change to all the functions. function2 gave without problem, but function3 will not work unless I change it to a + (which calculates the number of bad).

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you! Happy New Year (in about 30 minutes here)!
    Todd

    Sorry, never mind, one of the variables in a conditional has no change in function3. The end result was two timers arguing whether or not the third timer has been on or off - a bit like two children playing with a light switch (and with a 1ms delay timer & 1000 past a second it is a good thing that there was only one virtual switch!).

    Happy coding in the new year!

Sometimes, after viewing pages with a large number of gifs or several very large gifs, Firefox will do things like not animate gifs, or even do not load the images at all, an and will not stop until I have restart Firefox.
