HP Pavilion Slimline s5710f desktop PC

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and posibble my GFX card as well. Mainly for the reason of being able to use the program again for my school.

I looked up on the specs of the computer processor, but I was wondering. Those are the only processors which can be accepted or are there more options.

What gfx card would I also be able to put?

Hello

The processors listed under processor upgrade information should work in your HP Slimline PC with a few exceptions like the 960.  This list of AMD for socket AM3 95 watt processors is what AMD says will work in AM3 95 watt sockets.

I'm not familiar with Revit, but this tool can be useful.  Look at Revit heresystem requirements.

HP has graphics cards for PC Slimline with a 220 watt power supply, but I do not know if these cards will meet the requirements of Revit.  Look here in HP Partsurfer for video cards that are used in the new Slimline models with a 220 Watt power supply.  These cards have been made specifically for the HP Slimline PC with a 220 watt power supply.  The 530 GT is probably the best of the bunch.

The biggest problem with the HP slimline is the possibility to install a good video card because of the limitations of power supply and the requirement that the video card must be a low-power low profile card.

I try to get the required drivers for Windows XP run on a new HP Pavilion Slimline s3700f computer desktop (AMD 64 x 2 5000 processor).  I will remove Vista and install Windows XP Home Edition. Please include all of the drivers necessary for the performance of sound, graphics, etc..  I got this information once before for a former model Cheryl g and she is great.  Thank you.

Cheryl, thank you very much for your help once again.  I really appreciate your quick and thorough information, have a nice day.

  • Pavilion Slimline s5510f: Desktop turns on but does not start

No problem whatsoever with the computer.  On the indicated start screen Windows updates have been installed.   I noticed that the update "failed" and was "back" to forecast position or something to that effect.

This has happened about 4 days after I tried to leave the HP screen download updates from HP.  The download takes forever and I finished downloading.  Don't know if this has nothing to do with the question or not.

Used the computer all day and then stop it.  Next day morning hitting the power button, fans have started, a yellow light flickered once and nothing happenn-no beeps.  The screen was black and then a box of monitor State said he was not getting a signal and entered into mode 'sleep'.  Key Board not light.

I closed the computer and tried a reboot.  Same thing happened.

I looked at a few HP documentation and videos about the lack of seed.  I did find a simular situation to mine because most people get a cursor on a black screen or an error message.  All my computer is turn on, a flicker of yellow light, fans running and there it is.

I tried to access the BIOS by turning on the computer and press F10, then F1 but nothing happens at all.

I removed the memory cards and reinstalled them.  Same thing.

I removed the memory cards and attempted to start the thing same computer.  No beeps.

I would like to make the backup disks that I made when I bought the computer.   I hesitate to do something with these discs.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.  But, what I read in the documentation, it seems as if with no beep with memory cards removed, it is the motherboard?

If it is the motherboard, does that mean?  Go buy another computer?

You're welcome, @EarlD1.  Novice, perhaps, but you did a great job!  It is one of the most difficult and scary for some, processes of diagnostics on a computer.

I read your first post again.  I think that the next step should be to test memory.  There are several ways to test, but I want to do the most simple.  Remove all the memory when the computer is off and replace them one at a time and start.  If the computer starts, the memory is good.

If memory proves to be good, I suggest that you try to perform a system recovery complete from the recovery media that you made when you purchased the computer.

On a webs that switching ensures once the button is pressed, the led remains a yellow color and becomes ever green as it would normally when it gets a signal "video". Also, I have two different keyboard & two different mice, without a bit of luck. I was able to get the cd/dvd drive to eject, so I know it must be at least this component. My friend told me the problem that she was then the screen worked a little, that he'd go off @ random times. I pull the disk hard on and he hooked up to some test equipment I have, the HDD works, and I could see the files that are on it. Davy49,

Yes, I would like to say that this is an accurate statement of him, this model came out in 2007 is 6 years old. It is high time to probably look in an upgrade at this point, especially with starting problems.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask. .

However, this morning, I downloaded the manual to the user of a brother of a friend and wanted to put on it

portable key reader, but I was unable to find using brother or anything else.

I have a hp pavilion slimline s3700y desktop pc. is it possible that it can support two monitors?

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion Slimline s3700y. According to the specifications, the power plant is only valued at 160 watts, and there is no card graphics PCIe x 16 on the market which help the power supply to your computer.

Depending on what you plan on both monitors, there may be several different options.

    (1) Day trading, word documents, spreadsheets and other... buy an adapter USB-to-video as the EVGA UV plus + UV19 or UV39.

    (2) game... not recommended

    (3) source (expensive) a bigger power supply (220 watts) and new graphics card for HP

    (4) source, a power more than athenapower.com (up to 350-400 watts) and a PCIe x 16 graphics card 'low - profile' another source.

    Hello:

According to the page of product specifications for your PC on the link below, it comes with Wi - Fi networks and without bluetooth.

Windows has settings for adding bluetooth devices, but you also need the material.

Think that buy you an external usb bluetooth adapter.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5510y of: No. Wireless Network Adapter installed

I just bought a Pavilion Slimline S5510Y Desktop opportunity; not an installed wireless network adapter.   Y at - it somewhere that I can download the map?

Here is the PAGE of SUPPORT for this office.  It doesn't have a wireless adapter.  It has a wired aka the installed ethernet card.  The wireless adapter is a piece of hardware and must be purchased, not downloaded.  There are choices in the type would work better for you - USB or PCI x 1.  It may depend on the type of network you want to use.  The new highspeed options may require an adapter corresponding to the specification of network router in order to achieve faster speeds of the AC.  If you look at the "n" speeds then most can do.  Also be aware of the bands 2.4 and 5 GHz for newer routers.  If all this sounds "Greek", then perhaps seek help from a friend.

    Thanks for providing the info.

I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not.

HP does not provide more recent than Win7 for your PC drivers, so there is no updated HP driver to fix the problem.

Here is the link to the page of the drivers for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-Slimline-s5500-Desktop-PC-series/4162194/model/4206331

To see the drivers for Win7, click change and select Win7 in the menu drop-down.

You MIGHT be able to install the video drivers Win7 using compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/

  • Pavilion Slimline s5780t: compatibility Windows 10

    Hello

I have a friend with the model listed above. It was recently upgraded to Windows 10 (translation: Microsoft forced the upgrade on him without his consent). His PC was working fine before the upgrade, but since then, he has been presenting all kinds of different problems.

Before you start to look at the details, I just wanted to know if this model of PC is compatible with Windows 10 in the first place. I came across the site of HP in the hope of finding this 'picture' of the models tested, but have not been able to find it anywhere.

Could someone be tell me if the s5780t flag has been tested with Windows 10 or direct me to where I might find myself?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello:

HP does not support this model for W10, and there is no W10 driver for it on the support page.

Here is the link for the product... it's 2011, which is older that the deadline for what tested HP of the PC for the W10.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-slimline-s5700-desktop-PC-series/5035352/model/5060992/document/c02682452#AbT0

Here is the link to HP on compatibility with W10...

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/document/c04731185

This PC must be able to run W10 OK on the basic material.  I have two HP business class PC with Sandy Bridge CPUs and chipsets, and they work fine.  Audio different chips well (Realtek).

Now if this model has a tuner TV and other optional devices, those who can not work.

The Beats Audio may not work... However, try this driver W10.  It works on many HP PC with audio IDT bat.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.
