Thank you andy

Hello

2 devices to connect to the router at the same time will not affect the router. You can certainly use them both at the same time.

Printers configured in this mode are better develop a fixed TCP/IP address.  Your printer manual should tell you how to do this.  In general, there is a 'Settings' menu on the printer where it can be defined.  The IP address should usually have the first three digits than other devices on the subnet (for home networks it would be something like 192.168.1.x) and the final number should be unique and apart from the DHCP numbers range that your router would normally assign (see the manual of your router).

  • Toshiba 1 TB portable HDD USB 3.0 Stor.E questions

    Hi all

Bought a Toshiba Stor.E partner 1 TB external HDD USB 3.0 for my wife for the advent of ebay. Use it on an Optiplex GX620 under Windows XP (SP3) via a USB 2.0 port that I bought it and in the future will be able to make use of USB 3.0

I tried to format the HARD disk of 1 TB straight on the box and it took forever to get to the stage 13% (20 min) = when he started just turn off and on, immediately... it's 5 times until I cancelled the format and once I did he remained for about 4-5 minutes before it is rotated to the bottom of his...

So I did a quick format, which went well with no stop downs which took about 1-2 minutes of dishes...

So I put a 1 GB on it .avi file to see how it will play and it went well until what 5 minutes in the video when I noticed a sudden break of the video for a milli second or 2 - enough to be frustrating. Then I heard the car apparently closed (a snoring and a stop of the head... apparently, although the file was still play)-even if I heard the spin in the car down and maybe stop he kept playing the file, but a break of milli seconds every 2-3 seconds of reading file - it would be the nspin upward once again and after 3-4 minutes turning down strong enough... (no sanding, etc. or click, just a loud snoring with a sort of stop the sound)

The file plays fine out of the Office for 30 minutes, so forget the system - the same file plays very well from my Maxtor external drive on the same USB port.

Tried the 1 TB of HDD on my Panasonic TH - L42ET5A LED LCD TV and played previews apparently ok but I could hear a beep from the command every 3-4 seconds... and it didn't sound right and seemed to be all of a sudden stop and restart...

The fact, that it cannot format wihtout shutting down/restarting and can not play a video file without a break every 2-3 seconds means that it wont be good enough for me...

Note: on the same USB 2.0 port I use all my other USB drives work = very well no problem...

Is - this disc a lemon?

I hear that after July 2012, Toshiba has changed the firmware or the Commission on these discs of style and others in this forum have similar problems with stop/stop suddenly the rotation disc = however, this one is set up I think that's not a good set upwards.

I'm not quite sure of the issue described, but strange noises from a HARD m disc would be a sign of failure of the HARD drive
On the other hand, the HARD drive is a HARD drive 3.0 and it must 900mA on the bus power.
The USB 2.0 port allows only to 500mA.

I m not very well if this may be the reason here, but you should try to use the HDD with USB 3.0 or to a hub USB extended in the contrary case, it may be a HARD drive problem.

  • replcement oprerating systems new hard disks in computers portable exuisting

do I have to buy 5 operating systems for the five used laptops, I bought that had windows in them before removed theey disks hard or microsoft will replace ssystems operation for free

No, Microsoft will not replace the free operating systems.

You can try contacting the manufacturer of OEM recovery disks. They may or may not have at their disposal according to the age of computers. Expect to pay a fee.
Otherwise, you can buy OS for them. Use due care, that they are too old to modern operating systems work. An alternative would be open source that are free.
  • Pavilion Dv6 & HP2000 computers laptops: order windows restore discs

Help!  I have 2 laptops I want to reformat and reinstall Win 7 (64 bit). I have a copy of Windows 7 on both, but in my last shot of some books of office and folders disappeared, and Yes, my folders with installation for most of my software discs are not found.

I have the product key Win for both, I wonder if I can order real HP install disks to reinstall the drivers specific to each laptop and the O.S.?  Is it too late to get always the disks for Win 7 now that Win 10 is fashionable?  I really like the stability that I receive in Win 7... These 2 laptops are runnin strong, but it's time to do my rag and reinstall processes to clear the em!   :-)

Please direct me if there is a place where I can place this order and thank you all!

    -Mooz marty

Sorry you had such a difficult time there!

You can try to run the system recovery method in the Recovery Manager program, or F11 invites.

It shouldn't work in other than to use the recovery discs.

In case you still want the disks, you can order them from this provider no HP as well.

The cost should not be a lot more than if you order at HP (which seems to be problematic).

Need help on how to solve my problem about installing graphics drivers for my laptop. I replaced my HARD drive today since the hardware problems encountered an original and I was not able to recover all the files of it. I have download all the drivers from the HP site and it installed without any problem until I arrive at SP61152 (Intel HD Graphic Driver). When installing this error message has occurred (this computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install this software).  Also, I can't find the AMD Catalyst Control Center that I have used before when tweaking performance for my applications. Hope someone from HP can help solve this problem. Thank you.

    Hello:

With your model, the pilot only you should install is the pilot of graphics from AMD which installs the drivers for the graphics of the Intel and AMD that has your laptop.

  • Unable to connect the computers mac notebooks and computers portable windows on the network at the same time

Hi I have a wrt110 router that has an attached cable windows desktop. I have also several mac laptop connected wireless, as well as a printer hp, video game system blue ray player, ipod, iphone and kindle all who connect without problem. I have a laptop (Dell) who can see and connect to my network but will not connect not not to the internet. I tried to disable and even temporarily remove the antivirus software more disable the firewall, but without success. I am at my wits end because I need laptop for work. Internet connects to the laptop when I hard connect it in the router.

    DSL by Earthlink.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Try this.  Disable IPv6 on all Win 7 computers under properties cable adapters and wireless LAN.  Restart the computers.  Let the disabled MAC for now.  Try to connect all devices except the successful MAC connect Mac and if they number, disable IPv6 on those now too.  Ensure that the WRT110 on firmware 1.0.04)is or greater.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: portable with a faulty fan 5 year old

On a laptop old 5 year with a noisy fan recently (and probably failing), I'll be able to copy my files to another computer, when the fan finally fails or is a catastrophic event that disables the phone completely?

You can always remove the hard drive and use a USB adapter to SATA to retrieve the files on another computer, even if the laptop completely dies or fails to start due to the fan error. The hard drive is not affected by the death of the other components. Meanwhile if you can still boot the machine in 5 year, why don't you back up important files to the cloud or a device of external storage right now?

The fan is not expensive but labor to replace can be extensive and expensive. Remove your laptop if you want to try to fix it, we can connect you to a cheaper place to buy the part and the instruction video likely to exchange but not everyone feels comfortable. Out just the hard drive is much easier and we can help with that, too.

  • WPA2-PSK is not on my network authentication options. On one of my computers portable runnning Windows XP.

How to install authentication network WPA2-PSK on my laptop.  I have WPA - PSK appears but WPA2-PSK does not appear in the list of options.

    Network connections

    Wireless network connection properties

    Network authentication options

It's on a laptop running XP.  I have other laptops that are not WPA2-PSK authentication option.

Support for WPA2 is not introduced in Windows XP to Service Pack 3 (SP3).  The solution to recommend for this is to upgrade your computer to SP3:

"How to obtain the latest Service Pack for Windows XP"

If you happen to be in the Service Pack 2 (SP2), then the second best solution would be to install the following hotfix:

"Wi - Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2) / Wireless Provisioning Services Information Element (WPS IE element) update for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 is available.

  • Microsoft wireless intellimouse 3000A failed after 3 months, two within an hour and a third a week more later all computers portable differnent

I bought 4 intellimouse to 4 laptops.  After the failure of 3 1/2 month three of appoximately transceivers, quite warm to the touch you can not hold them as if a diode were burned.  Two of the transceivers has no less one hour of each other and the other a week later.  The first sign was an on-screen error message (windows 7) that a usb driver failed after detecting a device.  Did I just get a bad batch of peripheral mouse (Best Buy in Auburn, ME)?  Only one of the original devices 4 still works.  We have replaced the three different failed with wireless mouse devices and they worked.

    Hello JohnMCronin,

These mice come with a warranty. I suggest you contact the Microsoft warranty service to help you with this. You can consult the manual for more information on this warranty. Here is a link you can follow and which will give you information about this:

  • How about this problem of latency with computers portable studio?

    Hi guys,.

After almost a year of bored on my computer laptop dell studio and its crazy latency issues I have that to give it another go at the Dell Forum. Is there any fix for this widespread problem. I am a user of windows 7 and couldn't really find a solution for this google search.

I would like to hear from you guys.

    See you soon,.

    Jon

A problem with the DPC latency issue is that it is a symptom with a number of possible causes, software and hardware. It can be caused by a bad driver written and may not even have anything to do with Dell. Or it could; I'm just pointing out some of the complexities. For example, stan_-_ wrote that he has "problems", but maybe it's having the same symptoms caused by a different problem than the problem causing the symptoms on cell phone JonHil. (stan_-_, you use the latency Checker tool. There are instructions on the web page of the tool on how to use it to isolate a pilot that could be causing the latency. Also if the latency is cyclical it is probably caused by a device or a program at specified intervals.) Most of my knowledge of the DPC latency is 2 wires:

Latency DPC Studio 1737 thread started on June 13, 2009

    and

Studio XPS 1340 latency thread started February 23, 2009

The main models that have been affected at this time were the Studio 1735 1737 Studio, Studio 1535, 1537 Studio and Studio XPS 1340 and Vostro models. Maybe Studio 1555 also.

Over the years I didn't have Dell to put a large part of its resources trying to solve the existing audio problems. They seem to release a new model of laptop once a month and probably have their hands full think of names for each of them. Once a production model without doubt they are already deeply in the development of future models. However, in this case, they seek to solve the problem, for 2 reasons in my opinion. One was that the Studio XPS line was a new line of premium that they wanted to work right, and the other is that one of the people from Dell with a sweater got involved and pleaded for a fix for 14 months. The history of it is as follows.

Dell came with a revision of BIOS (11) that fixed latency dpc on Studio XPS 1340 model, as long as the units have been configured with the Intel WLAN cards and not Dell cards (Broadcom). Encouraged by that success, the plan of engineers was to get a fix of the BIOS for the Studio 1737 and then apply that knowledge to a difficulty for other models, but that never happened. The A07 BIOS was released in September ' 09 and what it was supposed to be the fix, but it was a big flop. They re - worked and published A08 almost 3 months later. The Dell guy who was tube communication between posters and Dell engineers was Bill B, who a few months later wrote:

"The last word I got was that the 1737 has a design limitation that prevents the latency issues to be resolved. The platform is moved to a new team of engineers. The new team reached out to me for feedback on the recent release of BIOS. I knew it was in no way a solution and this thread is passed to a few comments recent choice. "(The thread of latency Studio 1737)

It was about Bill B last post on the thread. He has 13 months he wrote these words, but no Dell never returned the "new engineering team" done with the problem. My guess is that the engineers had shot their wad with A08 and just left falling on it after this - so no hope for much less later 1737 models or 1735, who have time dpc latency, but whose root cause could easily be unrelated to earlier models. As seen, the fix for the Studio XPS 1340 did translates not one difficulty for the other line Studio, so there was never a chance for a unique solution. Bill B pointed out that the models released after the Studio 1737 lacked the same latency issues designed in dpc as those before, which if true gives hope that, on later models this is a driver or a problem with wireless.

One thing that came out of all that was that some wireless network adapters are a source of dpc latency regardless because there are other cases on the same computer. The worst offenders are the brand of cards (Broadcom), in particular the Dell from Dell 1515.

Of interest, there is also a workaround for the Studio 1737 developed by DJQuartz, which is to suspend the ACPI under Win XP using Process Explorer. Some people got it to work in Vista and 7 with process Hacker. The engineering team is convinced that the dpc latency was caused by the physical design of the card system, but Bill B thought they were wrong because of the DJQuartz.

Another solution was to create a hackintosh running Apple OSX on the Studio 1737. It worked because "DPC" is a Windows procedure (which creates a lot of latency with a poorly written driver) is not in the Apple OS or Linux. If you want to buy a Mac, you can try this. The problem will be in obtaining drivers for your computer that you can install.

    So to summarize:

    > There are different causes of latency dpc even on the same model as the others, much less through the lines or brands of manufacturers - is not only a problem of Dell

    > there are still uncertainties about the fundamental nature of all the underlying causes of the problem

    > there are some causes that Dell just doesn't know how to fix despite a lot of time and effort - you should read the thread of latency Studio 1737 together to get a feel for the amount of effort

    > there is no hope of a Dell solution on existing models, in my opinion (I may be wrong)

    > some of the causes are user serviceable.  A few months ago DJQuartz reported that the dpc latency spikes are now under control the sound Studio 1737 even without using his circumvention of ACPI, with the latest drivers and BIOS revisions. There the last Chipset of Intel wireless network adapter and drivers touchpad. It is still using XP is the best Windows OS for audio work.
