HP Pavilion won't mode 'sleep'

I have a HP Pavlillion, which is about 3 years old. Recently the comeputer going on "standby mode" (or when I put it in mode "sleep"), but continuous computer to go in and out of fashion 'sleep'. It is as if the computer goes in "standby mode" then about 10 min. later, it seems that the computer wakes up by itself (However the monitor isn't waking up). The monitor and the computer will wake up if I move the mouse or whatever. But now I just turn off the computer completely every night. Any ideas why this could happen and is there a way to fix it?

Hello Banna1981,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you think that your computer is going in and out of fashion 'sleep' but the screen remains in standby mode and both the monitor and the computer when you use the mouse or the keyboard. I suspect that what you think is the computer wake up is actually planned a background running process or activity. If the monitor is to stay in the mode "sleep" I don't think that your computer wakes up or if it's to treat specific activities such as updates or to check his e-mail etc...

If you are worried, I'd be happy to help you, but first of all, I encourage you to post what operating system you are using. And if your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit like that I can provide you with specific information on the boot without failure and find for sure what is the cause of this activity.

Operating system Windows am I running?
Is the Version of Windows on my computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

Will you please re-post with the information requested and I would be happy to provide assistance. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    Hi all

Just bought a new desktop with Vista 64 bit computer.  He won't go in mode 'sleep' and is therefore always on.  I tried to contact dell technical support and they said it was a problem of Microsoft/Vista about the transformers containing more than 6 GB of RAM.

  • My computer won't go in mode 'sleep'

Original title: lately, when I try to put the computer into standby mode, it does exactly the same thing that when I go in the logoff, switch user, lock, etc. Reboot and shutdown are very good. Why he won't go into the mode 'sleep' as he used to do?

The previous question has all the necessary details.

    Hello

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

    ·        Who is the manufacturer of the graphics card and what is the model?

I suggest you to download the latest drivers for the graphics card and install on the system and check. See the article mentioned below.

  • HP Pavilion g6 has a problem with the driver (s) interfering with Windows mode 'sleep'

    Hello all;

I have a HP Pavilion g6 (about 4 years) gave me when my daughter bought a new. I had problems with it being slow to start and slow to close (a couple of times that it has initialized to me on the Web). I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1. Today, I ran a check on my system in advanced tools, I got this message: "Drivers interfere with Windows out of sleep mode" and this one: "a device driver for a device on your computer is cause of performance degradation. I checked the logs and he suggested I have uninstall these drivers, there are two listed, but they are the same driver. I don't know what to do here. Here are the details that were given:

    ID: 351

Name: Several vendors AMD Miniport driver

    Publisher: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

Feature: AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

    Date reported: Monday, July 9, 2012 22:20

    Setting time: 1.9 seconds

Next on the list is EXACTLY the same, except, reported Date: Thursday, June 20, 2013 22:32

    Setting time: 1.8 seconds

The driver (s) is/is up-to-date. I'm so confused at this point. I think that I need this driver, but that does not mean I have two? Can someone enlighten me? These icons next to them warning, I would try to solve this problem before that I have to keep the PC doctor. Thanks to you all.

Graphics card drivers are needed for the sleep mode feature. Based on the parameters of the driver, the availability of the mode 'sleep' is decided in Windows. Try reinstalling the drivers, then check: uninstall the drivers, reboot the PC, install the drivers, reboot the PC and then check. If this also fails to solve the problem, try to use a lower version of the drivers, by uninstalling the current version of drivers, restart the PC, install the lower version drivers, reboot the PC and then check.

Please note that the beta versions are not stable, test rlease only. Beta version of the drivers will always have the latest version, but it's not recommended to use the drivers because it is still in development/testing.

  • Pavilion 15: Regulate the mode 'sleep'

I want my laptop to go to sleep after a period of 5 minutes after that I close.  I visited the page (via the control panel) which indicates that the laptop goes to sleep when the lid is closed.  That's all set for me to 'PC world' when I bought - I don't know much about computers.

I thought I want to tinker with how long it takes to get in mode 'sleep' well, so I went to 'Settings' > PC Info > food and sleep.   I noticed there are two sections: "Screen" and "Sleep".  When I changed numbers (i.e. after only 5 minutes on battery power "screen" goes off) in the "Screen" section, it is automatically changed the numbers in the section 'sleep '.  I don't understand.   Does relate ALL the fashionable 'sleep '?

Why don't the parameters that I put in the article automatically applies to the 'Sleep' bit 'Screen '?

I noticed that my battery is not lasting as long as he did a few months ago (and my computer is under a year old) so I'm eager to save the batteries.   What should I do?

  • Computer won't turn on after the mode 'sleep'

My computer acted funny lately when it goes into mode 'sleep', and I have to reboot it until I can do something new. I know I'm not the only one having this problem, I've read the other posts on this problem. Anyway, my keyboard has a sleep button that I brush occasionally, that causes all this to happen. However, I brushed it today, and instead to go just in a coma, the computer entered into mode 'sleep' (the light was orange, noise died down), then woke up to the top in a way where the fan on, but the light went off. I've forced to close and then turned back on. Now when I turn it on, the light and fan both going on, but the monitor remains off, and none of the lights on the keyboard lights up. Is there a simple solution to this, or it will need repairs?

    Hello

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Perform the steps from the link below.

The problems of wake the computer from sleep mode

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

My Windows 7 Desktop is not in mode 'sleep'.

First, restart the computer and try again.  It should work.  If it doesn't, try changing your diet plan.  This should allow you to put in standby mode.  Also, make sure you're clicking on the Start button, and then the arrow next to Shut Down or Hibernate and then sleep.  Other tips are available at: http://www.waltwachon.weebly.com

  • Can not take the series of laptop HP Pavilion g6-1200 of sleep

Hi, I have a series of PC HP Pavilion g6-1200 laptop with Windows 7 64 bit, I had to format my computer once by myself and had some driver issues. It has been long since I can't use the aero themes, this month I started using a razer naga, last weekend I got a blue screen, 2 days ago, I installed max driver and update some drivers, yesterday my brother installed counter strike 1.6 and started a windows update , but he turned off the computer before it finished. Today I was using my computer and let it enter the mode "sleep", but when I tried to use my computer again it would not turn on the screen. It seems that the computer wakes but won't turn on the screen because I can hear the sound that makes Windows when you reconnect your username. I already tried the bios update and using scf/scannow. Also the new page of chrome app stopped working at the same time, this problem started.

Something that might also of importance, it's that I'm not able to use the restore of the system because that whenever I have it try fails, today I discovered that there is a file missing in any %, and I think which is the cause of the restoration fails.

I hope this is enough information to solve the case, thank you for your time.

Thanks for letting me know. Maybe it is temporarily inactive. If this happens to come back or if you have any other problems, let me know

  • My Pavilion m6 wake from sleep

My laptop (model Pavilion m6 dx1045) was freezing when he starts in mode 'sleep'. When I put it manually to sleep I don't encounter any problem, but when I leave my computer for 20 minutes the screen goes black and it won't take back me to my session. I tried the mouse, hitting the buttons, using the BIO scanner and using the power button for the wake, and I also left alone for about 10 minutes, thinking maybe it was just slow. However, I had to force her to leave the machine - every time and I got it for a week.

If anyone knows how to solve this problem, I would be very expensive to enjoy it!

    Hello
