HP Pavilion zv5000 recharge the battery when the

I have a Pavilion ZV5000 with XP pro sp3.  The battery is new.  The CC has been replaced.  Here are the symptoms:

Battery recharge when the laptop is turned off.

The laptop will boot and work if she is only connected to the adapter current (without battery)

The laptop will boot and work if the battery is installed.

The laptop's battery and it not load if the battery is installed and the AC adapter is plugged in.

It indicates the charging for about 3 seconds light then go to the battery power.

I installed the update to the bios, but that has not solved the problem.

Please if there is a real solution (meaning don't tell me to buy a new laptop) let me know.  I looked all over the internet and this seems to be a common problem but was not able to find a good solution.

Its possible the adapter has insufficient wattage (power) to charge the battery and run the notebook at the same time.

  • HP Pavilion PC 2 x removable: PC HP Pavilion x 2 removable - battery when in Sleep Mode Work-Around

After a lot of research, trial and error and re-trial... Here is my proposed solution for those who like me have tired of having the X 2 die on them while you sleep!

Option 1 - Activate put into hibernation

Basically, this will disable Windows 10 'connected standby' feature in which the Tablet is supposed to go into a deep 'Riks' sleep while still being somehow able to keep control of e-mails and other things in the background. The problem is that, because many drivers (such as the Intel ESS Audio Device (WDM)) do not seem to have been implemented for the x 2 on windows 10, then the Tablet continues to drain energy.

The solution is to go back to the good old "Hibernate" feature. It will take a few seconds longer for the x 2 to return to normal mode and cost about 700 MB of disk space that is used by the hyberfil to temporarily store data of RAM memory. The x 2 will be generally enter hybernation 5-10 minutes after sleep, but you can set the type below.

    To enable the hibernation

Go to control Panel\All Control PanelPower Options\Edit Plan parameters Items\

    Open "change advanced power settings".

Expand the subtopic 'Sleep' , and under 'on battery' select Hibernate.

If you get stuck - more detailed instructions can be found here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2859-hibernate-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

Option 2 - persevere with sleep "connected standby".

Unfortunately in my experience, it is only frustration and disappointment, but you can try to identify what prevents your 2 x to enter sleep and disabling / updated drivers to see if that helps. To help you in this quest, you have the following which must be run as an administrator.

Press the Windows key + X and click to open the command (as admin) window

Paste it below and press ENTER to execute

    powercfg /batteryreport
    powercfg-energy
    Powercfg.exe SleepStudy

Open c:/Windows/System32 and search for files

    sleepstudy - report.html

    energy - report.html

    battery - report.html

    Hi there @mikie69

I understand that you are looking for a method adjust the laptop lid to be tighter. I'm happy to help you with this.

As it is an older model, it is not very likely that spare parts are more readily available, but I still think you might find this operating manual.

Page 146 of 272 in the manual, you will find instructions on how to replace the entire screen. If you use that you can find a way to adjust the hinges to make what you need. Just be careful, because as I mentioned before, if something is broken, pieces will probably not an option, although, if necessary, you can try the parts store.

    Hi Tuckerdognc,

Thank you for taking the time to post.

Even if the battery is not charged in your camcorder, you can recharge the battery of your camcorder using the battery charger CG-800.

I know. I found a market after charger that revives my BP-808 and bought a market after BP-819. So far so good. Have not really tried to use in the field yet, but I tested by turn on the recorder and to let it go for about an hour with 819 and then reloaded. 150 minutes is it is top. the 808 as I let it go 1/2 and I'm getting a load of 80 min. If they don't unload just to be attached to the camera, I'll be good. (Which seems to happen before I bought the charger).

  • Best strategy to recharge the battery

I have a new tx2, and I wonder when to recharge my battery.

Do I have to wait until he is 100% discharge or always keep a small amount of charge i.e... top-up to 25%

I have to keep the tx2 always plug the unit? Which means that the battery is always close to 100%

So what is your strategy with regard to the battery?

If the folks at HP following this thread, here a suggestion

Have an external charger for battery TX2

Based on the info I found on the net, I propose three modes of operations:

    Extension mode

This mode will maintain the battery between 20/25% to 75 / 80%. This will allow users to store the battery for a long period of time (has a reference someone who won't need the battery for 2 weeks or more). Once get to the 75/80% load, the battery will discharge on it own slowly.

    Ready mode

This mode will maintain the battery between 75/80% and 100%. It's when users are on the go and don't whant to keep the CAP from battery to the pc to avoid the heat of the processor. those who have two sets of drums they can exchange or they exchange the battery but not so often.

    Manual mode

This mode will maintain battery charge you 100% (it will mimic the behavior when the battery is taken inside the PC) this mode will be useful for those who constantly use battery and must exchange frequently. or for those who know that they will have a full load of within the hour following more or less.

The charger may be the link to a pc to program the three mode. always in expansion mode except at 07:00. stand on a manual mode to have a fully charged battery.

All of this to ensure that the battery will discharge slowly is possible and that we will have the necessary amount of charge to meet our individual needs.

  • Satellite L500-1UU - disconnect the battery when it is connected to the AC adapter / CC

    Hello world

I have purshaced new Toshiba Satellite L500-1UU
    CPU: Intel (r) Core i3 CPU M330 2.13 GHz
    Physical memory: 4096MB RAM
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 6.1.7600

My question is: remove the battery when I use my computer laptop while its connected to the AC adapter would be wise or not? This would increase or decrease the life of the battery, or it will not affect anything?

Is i3 processors have a technique of centrino disconnect battery power whent, it is fully charged?

What do you think of this?

    Hi Khaild Essam,

I agree with Akuma. There is no problem, remove the battery when the AC/DC adapter is connected. If you can do it. In addition the battery charge will be stopped if it s at full charge. The laptop consumes energy to AC/DC adapter only.

If you remove the battery and work with AC/DC adapter only, the battery life will be improved a little because it s not in its use.

    Hello

Congratulations on your new machine, I understand that worried you´re for your battery life. I was scared too, but a lot of people here in the forum told me that, in each new machine for many years (i.e. about 6 to 9 years) almost every laptop has an electronic charge that regulates the process of charge of the battery.

Don t worry, if your battery is fully charged, the built-in charging circuit is a special State that is as "cool cool" to maintain your battery and to protect the battery.
S better to keep the battery in the machine then removing it.

    Hello

Don t you need to remove the battery, since the electronic load cuts the power to the battery when the load is done.
The best practice is simply to use your computer as usual and Don t make reflections on electronics. They were built you don t have to think. :)

    Hello

A few years ago it was recommended to remove the battery of the laptop if the AC adapter is plugged. What keeps the constant charge battery
New age of batteries are better you can leave the battery in the Bay it s ok and it should not affect the performance

However, sooner or later each battery would die it s only a matter of time, you know

Or this does not damage the battery longer years yet there is, or is the problem of the destruction of the battery because of the heat and being reloaded frequently persists?
