HP Pavillion DV7-6052ea: Wireless problem card

Hi, I'm moving my Wifi card of a 802.11ac card for 5 Ghz speed

I have a Pavillion DV7-6052ea with i7-2630qm.

Laptop came with Broadcom 4313gn 801.11bgn card and looking at the manual here it says that the Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 is compatible with my laptop but when I install it the laptop does not start, it's just a black screen with a text box (not flashing) solid.

It give me any option to go into the BIOS and the fan is working, if I press the power button / stop, it stops immediately.

I also have a Centrino Advanced - N 6035 from another laptop, isn't on the list supported in the manual, when I install I get a message saying that the card is not supported.

Any ideas why the laptop does not start with the 6230?

Because it is not on the white list in the BIOS. The guide indicates a N-6230, but if track down you the part number in the manual it takes to another card. There is no option double band of 5 GHz laptop, that I do not say. Let alone a 802.11ac option.

I just do a fresh install of Vista 32 bit on this laptop Pavilion dv7-1000ea.

I have trouble getting the wireless operation.

Device Manager is not recognizing that there is a wireless inside the laptop adapter, even if there is.

The wireless light is orange. I could not do it turn blue.

I installed ALL necessary drivers - nothing is reported in Device Manager does not.

I have updated the BIOS and also tried it revert to an older version to see if that makes a difference or not.

I assured that wifi antennas are properly fixed inside the computer.

I tried to ensure without wire is activated in the Setup (F10), but there is no option for it!

I tried to use HP Wireless Assistant to turn it on, but it won't let me open the utility.

    Can anyone help?

Sorry everyone, I managed to fix it. I took out the wireless card and put it again and then it was recognized and began to work.

  • How will I know if I can use wireless headphones on my HP Pavillion DV7 running on Windows 7?

I have a HP Pavillion DV7 Windows 7 & would like to buy headphones wireless instead of the smaller earbuds that came with it.  How do I know if I can use it as most of the sites such as eBay requires your PC to be Bluetooth compatible so that their specific work wireless headphones.  How will I know if my phone is bluetooth compatible?  I searched what little paperwork came with it, but don't know where else to find this information & don't want to buy headphones which doesn't work on my laptop & end up having to return them.  I am not very savvy PC so I'm sure that somewhere in the software there are some information about it, but I don't know how or where to find it on my laptop.  I could really use the skills of a person to solve this dilemma bit I'll have too simple as it may seem to most of you, the experts there, but for a "newbie" like me, it's all Greek to me!

Please, can someone help me understand what to do or where to find this information.  Is somewhere in the control panel?  I'm just at a loss about where to find this kind of information on my own laptop & feel like a true dummie here, people!  I just want to be able to listen to stereo to my Netflix movies & other programs I have on my laptop with a nice set of headphones but I need to be sure everything I buy is compatible with my laptop.

Thanks to someone out there who can help me with what may seem like a trivial problem, but for me it's a mystery!  I need help badly!

    Sam51

    Hello Sam51

According to the data sheet for your computer it has not built in the Bluetooth adapter. Fortunately, there is another option, there are devices called Bluetooth adapters that fit in one of your USB ports. Newegg sells them at a reasonable pace, but you can also buy them from most electronic stores may be in your area.

Please answer as soon as possible.

  • Pavilion DV7-1451nr: Wireless button stays amber

My pavilion dv7-1451nr turns wireless keyboard blue when I have to reset the motherboard by removing the battery and press the power button / stop seconds, after which I plug in charger to him while leaving the battery and press the power button / stop. After that, I would like to press f10 to enter the bios setup, then I would like to load the defaults, save and exit.

After doing all that I have explained above, the wireless button becomes blue and wireless assistant would be activated and indicates that the wireless is turned on. If I check in the Device Manager, I see the hardware details and driver wireless populated it and everything should work fine, but once I restart the computer, the wireless button would refuse to start. There is orange. If I try to check the State of the material status and driver WLAN on Device Manager, they would be is more filled it more and wireless assistant will refuse to start. If by chance he started, this would indicate that the wireless is turned off by the Device Manager.

I had tried uninstalling the wireless LAN driver and reinstalled just in case the problem came from the software side but not solution. Just this afternoon, I have decoupled from the computer and removed the card WLAN, dusted it and replace it back, but the problem persists.

The type of wireless network card is Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g WiFi adapter. I noticed something this afternoon, however, after having checked the service manual for the computer, I realized that there is specific types of the wireless card compatible for specific regions. For example, the number of appropriate wlan spare parts which must be on my computer is 582564-002 and have this with references with the number of spare part of wlan on the wireless card available on my computer that begins with sps 452..., I realized something was wrong. I'll leave that to stop you guys from HP, but I really need a solution to this problem very fast because it's really annoying me. Thank you.

    Hello @LL_Cool_J,

    Thanks for the information!

I don't know what you mean, when he asked if the model is 50xx or 40xx. Confirming the WLAN Module is a little difficult, because there are several manuals maintenance for this model.  I was able to refine the selection a bit, by comparing the numbers of spare part for hard drives.  Based on this REPAIR, the WLAN Modules you have listed, 582564-002, 593836-001, must be compatible.  However, I don't see the Atheros as option in this manual.  To be on the safe side, you can contact our telephone support HP.  Please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. I read your post about the way your computer displays a pop-up message prompting you to update the installed wireless card. I'd be happy to help you in this case!

If you encounter any issues connecting to a wireless network on your computer, I wouldn't count the update as crucial. If your computer is having problems connecting to the network, even if the problem is intermittent, it may be a good idea to install the update.

I hope this helps, and if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to post back!

  • Wireless network card does not appear in the Device Manager on Satellite L50 - B - 1 DM

    Hello!
I bought just new Satellite L50 - B - 1 DM, model number PSKTCE and installed on Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit. He came without OS installed and without driver installation disk.
Problem is that Wlan card does not appear in Device Manager.

For my Toshiba support model are 37 drivers and programs. I have already installed: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, all updates to Windows that appeared, SP 1, driver LAN, Toshiba Value added Package. And I tried to install all wlan drivers 4 in the list of "tool utility Intel ' also.
Does not always display any connection without wireless WLAN card. Pressing Fn + F12 does not change. In "Network connections" is the only connection - LAN. No WLAN, no bluetooth.

I have "Other devices" in Device Manager with yellow marks on: network controller; PCI device; PCI Simple Communication controller; SM Bus controller. USB controller; Unknown device (with Microsoft ACPI - compliant system location) and video controller.

Any help would be welcome. Thanks in advance

If it's not bad - just saw that my BIOS is version 1.70

  • InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card - need driver for Vista OS

    Hello

I'm new to the Forum and I think that it is just the place to get answers to my questions?

OK, I use the laptop Toshiba Equium L10 and I just downloaded and installed the "public" version of Microsoft Windows VISTA beta 2.
The installation went very well and it took about 40 minutes and considering that it is only a 1.50 GHz Celeron (M), which was very good, but I'm having problems to make a software/driver for my '' integrated '' InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card, so for now, I can not connect to the internet on this subject. (On the bottom of the laptop, it has ' FOXCONN T60N871 802.11 b/g W/LAN Card "which I think is the real name for 'InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card'.)

I installed the software/driver LAN wireless from the utility CD, and although the software seems to be no problem, Windows does not detect the card and does not install the driver for it. I also tried Win Vista update, but nothing is found.

Does anyone know ho to get the software/driver to install properly so that Windows Vista can detect the card and install the driver and software?

If not, does anyone know of a driver updated for VISTA BETA2?

I would really like to keep Vista Beta2 on my L10 so if anyone has some tips that will get my built-in wireless card works, I would be very grateful. (BTW, I don't have a 'wired LAN').

    Concerning

    Hello

These days, a lot of users wrote vista and their experiences with the installation. As you know that officially there are no drivers available. I think that Toshiba will offer all the drivers at the point where vista is officially on the market.

You can post on this tread http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=13771 maybe Brave will give you more information about the installation on its L10.
