  I understand that you no longer have the installation disc to install your Photosmart 2610. Which is perfectly fine, you are able to download and install the software with Windows 7.

  You have two options:

  1. run the Wizard for Windows HP printer installation

  2. download Photosmart and Officejet Full Feature software and drivers

  I used all-in-one HP Photosmart 2610 for years without change. Now everything is print spooling with non-descript "error" when it is in the queue. I can print the test page for the utility and I can print via the usb connection to my laptop which has supposedly the same software and updates. I uninstalled and reloaded the software updated and get a message that the software has been installed successfully. Install HP works OK and the dashboard widgit working to show supplies. But the printer in the printer/Fax preferences poster "information not available" when I check for supply levels.

  When I try to use the printer utility I get a message "some components installed on your computer have been developed for a different version of the HP utility. These components will not be loaded and some features related to your device cannot be accessed ".» I downloaded the latest version of the software and reinstalled my original software CD and cannot always my computer to print.

  If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

  Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
  Click on continue
  Highlight your device in the left pane
  Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
  There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
  Click on continue and let it finish

  Restart your Mac

  Now reset the printing system:

  -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
  -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
  WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
  -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  I have the software comes from www.hp.com.au and installed it.   At the end of installation, I've set up and the printer print a sample page.

  I have a photosmart 2610 all-in-one it works perfectly fine when I connect through my usb cable. the only thing is that I have 3 computers at home and who are used mainly for school work.when I arrived to my printer, everything has worked until recently collapsed when answering my network connections...

  When I look at my settings my ip network, the subnet and the gateway is all 0.0.0.0? OK so I thought that I add them manually and see what that dose... nothing to get all rest to 0.0.0.0... I am a network restore but still nothing happens! I print a config and everything is in the "off" mode. I'm not sure how to turn on the State of the network.

  IM on a XP pro SP3 with all latest updates for XP and HP software and firmware.iv got 3 other devices connected to my router which works perfectly fine, so I know theres nothing wrong with that.

  The Photosmart 2610 has no of wireless, which was a feature for the Photosmart 2710.  Go to settings, 8, 3, 2, OK, 2 and set the IP address, mask and gateway.

  I have changed black only, now cannot retrieve colors. Forgotten what I've done, so any help appreciated.

  In the printing preferences: -.

  1 Advanced color settings set to '0 '.

  2. choice of color - print in grayscale - 'unchecked '.

  3. within the framework of advanced document - print all text in black: (disabled)

  These measures appear to be in place. Have you, you click on apply after you have changed these settings.

  You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the software and drivers. This will reset all back.

  I'm sorry you have a problem with slow printing.

  Try to perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord at the back omit it for 30 seconds and plug it back.

  Try to print a self-test page or the printer in the printer itself status report. It is still slow?

  If this isn't the case, it may be a connection problem. Maybe change the USB cable.

  Hello

  Try to use the brush included in the CD or download the software that will be the scrubber.

  Of the Original installation CD:

  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:

  1. type % temp % in the field of race

  2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe

  Restart the computer and then install the software of the printer with the link above again.

  I don't know how I did before, but after weeks of trying, I got my photosmart 2610 fully functional.  Unfortunately, I lost patience with the obsolete photoessentials trying to install and fail at every reboot.  It wouldn't uninstall parameters, so I paid $45 for 'perfect uninstall' and it got rid of to essentials photo but also all other drivers hp including the interface of scanning HP Solutions elusive.  Now after only two days of repeatedly suite only solution Uninstall HP and download the 10 finished suite Windows and try again, I continually get the error ' error fatal Hp during the installation hzsetup.exe - wStub 1836654» Of course whenever installation fails the product installer to uninstall everything.  I ran the ccc/l. 4 uninstall myself and must have restarted a dozen times.  It doesn't seem like it should be impossible to get a printer to work.  Then, they put a link fixit of Windows 8 on my desk that says uninstall and download again and again and again.

  If your HP Officejet 6500 has worked very well with 10.6, after that upgrade to the HP software Lion should continue its work, there is no need of updated drivers.   Have you tried that?

  second - if you have updated to Lion and removed the HP software before, make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the Mac (usb or network), a few "Add printer" and go through the steps, the Mac check Apple software updates and download the latest driver HP for you.

  My HP Photosmart 2610 all-in-one will print any photos on my new computer.  He used to work, but he stopped.  It still prints Word and Excel.  I tried several downloads without result.  If I plug my computer dinosaur with XP I can print photos.

  I get no error messages.  It is said he sends to the printer, but when I check the queue of the printer, nothing showed.  I always, I can't understand if it is a problem of MS or HP problem.  Somehow the communication between the two is getting lost, but since it still prints of word and excel, I am at a loss as to where the problem lies.

  I spent hours and days on this!  I am told by my friends that are good at computers "HP is the worst."  Is this the case?

  Hey Ashenk. If the printer prints from another PC perfectly, then I wouldn't think the printer to be the problem. It is possible that the print queue has had a hiccup and it needs to be reset. Here's how to reset:

  1. press on the ORB start lower-left on the screen.

  2. click on 'run '.

  3 type "services.msc" (without the quotes)

  4. Locate the print spooler service in the right column

  5. click on restart the service on the left link

  The scan to direct e-mail option does not exist as a shortcut with the HP Solution Center when I switched to a new computer with Windows 7, former was XP.  Everything about printing or scanning works OK using the menu that I was unable to create a shortcut to the scanning to e-mail.  Is it not available?  I need to scan and save it before transferring to an e-mail.  Is this my only option?

  Hello, Hare, you could try to download and install latest software package full of feature for the Photosmart 2610v printer. I did not find the Photosmart 2610 model.

  You may need to uninstall the cureent for your printer software before you install the latest version of the software.

  I have a HP photosmart 2610 which is connected to my WIFI.  It works with my laptop running XP and my laptop running Windows 7 and my wife XP PC.  However, it will not work with my PC under XP.  In other words, it works after a reload of software driver until I reboot my machine and then try to print any document sets in printing (QC) I can't understand what is wrong.  My PC and my wife are identical Dell 3000. HELP thank you

  I've talked about what was going on here with my colleagues.  Everything you described, you may need to perform a restore of the system on your computer.  Be sure to backup all your data first, and then do a reinstall of XP or do a factory restore.  Once the restore is complete, try to reinstall the printer.  Let me know what happens.

  Hello robps,

  I think the problem is that the scan is not supported when connected via USB to an airport.   It's the same situation as Leopard.  It is not supported scanning via a USB connection to the airports.     This is a limitation of the airport, only printing is supported via USB port connections.

  As test, connect your Photosmart 2610 directly on your Mac with USB cable - print and scan times should work correctly.
