HP Photosmart all-in-One printer-D110a Installation failure

After spending the better part of today trying to install this printer on my new Dell Inspiron 660 (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit), I'm ready to renounce HP printers.  This printer is less than a year and I had it installed on my old Dell Dimension, where he worked with the exception of not being able to to perform a scan of the touchpad.  A big disadvantage, since I had to go to the HP Solution Center and analyze manually.

But let's go back to our days, I went through all the exercises on the HP support site, more than once, and installation has failed each time, "Fatal Error 1935" as well as MSI. Scan.  Since online search made me think that the 1935 FE could be a Windows 7 problem, I contacted Dell support.  Dell technology has been able to install the printer; He said that he install it in "compatibility" mode  How a normal user is supposed to know this?  There is something left on my desktop - PS_AIO_07_D110_Full_Win_enu_140_126.  I have to keep it?

In addition, Scan always does not work since the touchpad.  Nor can I open the HP Solution Center.  It returns the message:

"HP Solution Center cannot work because your device installation is not complete.

Please connect the USB cable or re-run the Setup program from the installation to a network installation CD.

If it does not complete the installation, or you do not have the CD, access the HP help files by clicking on the start menu. »

I don't see any HP help files in my Start menu.  There is a HP folder in programs, filled with a ton of shit I don't need except for the simple instructions, basic to connect the printer to my pc.

The installation has already been tried, more than once, with the Original CD.  The installation was already made, more than once, the option to download on the HP support page.  And with all the L4 uninstall, I probably restarted the pc more than 30 times today.

And for growing more, my Temp folder is full of garbage, much of it with HP in the name of the file, as well as six 7z files *.

To start sounds like it is a driver problem. I want to start to be sure that deleting the software and relocation happened in the best way possible. I want you to follow my steps, I can be sure that we start both on the same page.

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

In the menu START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl + A, and press DELETE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

PS you should not have to run in compatibility mode with the Win7 this softare, you have to do if the software you are trying to install is something like software WinXP (for example) on a Win7 machine.

    I can not the printer HP D110A properly uninstall or reinstall on my computer.  I have a desktop HP Pavilion with Windows 7 64 bit with an Intel Core processor.

    I went through many suggestions on the HP support site, more than once, and the installation failed every time with the message "the system cannot find the file specified."  This message is displayed if I install more software HP Photosmart and pilot or just the HP Photosmart basic drivers.  I went to Control Panel programs and features and uninstalled all HP without change.  I also deleted temporary files and folders without change.

    Problem solved!  Here's what I did to get the printer D110a Photosmart software and drivers installed.

    1 - Download the full version of the software on the HP site.  Do not choose the version of the base drivers.  We will remove unnecessary items in another step.

    2 turn off your antivirus, antispyware, and firewall.  Make sure that you disable all of them.

    3 disable startup: click on the Windows icon in the system tray, type msconfig in the search field and click Enter.  Choose "Selective startup" and uncheck "Load Startup items".  Click 'Apply' and then 'OK '.

    4 restart your computer.

    5 - Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

    6 - click on the file of the software that you downloaded.  During installation, you will arrive at a screen of welcome from HP with several buttons.  Click on "install".  In the next screen, there are 3 or 4 links.  Click on one, titled, 'Software' or 'select software.  Uncheck the print smart Web, HP Photo Creations and Customer Participation program.  (You will be able to install it later if you wish.  Now we want to simply get the print, scan, and copy functions work).

    7 - proceed with the installation.  Connect the USB cable when prompted.  If you can, test by making an impression and then a scan.

    8. remember to go back to msconfig and check 'Normal Startup'.  Then click 'Apply' and 'OK '.

    9. turn your firewall, antivirus and antispyware programs turn it back on.

    It was the only thing that worked for me.  I found a large number of these instructions in separate solutions of HP and help articles, but I had to put it all together to get the software and drivers to install correctly.  I hope this helps someone.

  • HP Photosmart all-in-One printer-D110a.

    The wording is cut on the right when you print an invitation on a 5.50 "8.50" paper, even if the size of the paper is made in the word document.   I believe that there is an alignment with the printer problem.  I printed the same model on a different computer from a friend and it prints fine.


    You indicated that the paper size is set in Word?  Have you entered in the printer properties and set a custom to 5.5 by 8.5 size?

    Click Start, printers devices & right mouse click the D110a, choose printing preferences, choose the paper quality tab.  In the paper size section... Choose custom.  Enter your custom size and select apply.

    See if it works...

  • HP PSC 2410 Photosmart all-in-one printer SLOW printing

    All of a sudden my HP PSC 2410 Photosmart all-in-one printer has started printing very, very, very slowly. If at all. It took almost 30 minutes (1/2 hour) to print only 1 page word document. I am on Windows 7 OS.

    Dialogue problems says everything is fine. An attempt to print a test page was even worse. He printed only the top 1/4 of the race and that it was illegible.

    I ran CrapCleaner, Norton full scan and I was able to print for about a day before the problem returns.

    I also had problems with copy. I noticed that the missing parts were color text or photos. There was no indication that the Tricolor cartridge was low or empty, but I replaced it in any case and VOILA... print is returned to normal and fine everyting.

    I would have thought there would be some am indicator when the cartridge is low, but it was not.

    If it doesn't appear on your printer and not on your PC, right?  My bad... I'm in the driver settings.  Try holding down the symbol # and 3 at the same time on your printer.  This should reset the printer.  If this does not work then press the symbol # and 6 at the same time.


    To restore the default settings


    Press Setup.


    Press to select Tools, and then press OK.


    Press to select Restore Factory Defaults, then press OK.

    The default settings are restored.

    I have a Dell Dimension E310 and a Dell Photo all-in-One Printer 964.  I am running Windows XP.

    My printer was working fine, but the scan did not work right.

    I uninstalled Dell 964 printer to help to change / remove programs.

    I tried to reinstall Dell 964 Printer by using the Drivers and Utilities CD: printer all-in-one Photo Dell 964 CD came with my computer.  I had this CD for 6 years and have used it to reinstall the printer before.

    I put the CD in D drive.  Sometimes, it will open the installation box (sometimes it isn't) where I can choose to install to a personal computer or a computer on the network.  I click on personal computer and wait.  Nothing happens.  In the past this action begins the process of installing the printer.

    Sometimes, I put the CD in D drive and nothing happens.  In this case, I opened my computer then right click on the D drive (which shows the Dell CD).  I click Open.  Sometimes, the installation box opens.  Sometimes it is not.

    Sometimes, a box opens indicating that the computer has detected new hardware - Dell Photo all-in-One Printer 964.  Operating instructions say if ensure that the Dell installation CD is in drive D, and then click Next.  He moves to another window where it says that it is looking for the CD.  Just, it maintains the search but can't find it.

    My CD of Installation is worn?  Is that why the computer can't find it?  Or something else going on?  Download the software of the printer from the Dell website?  Can I get a new CD Drivers and Utilities: Dell CD 964 Photo all-in-one printer?

    I have a limited knowledge of the computer.

    Please follow the instructions mentioned in the link below to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your Dell Printer 964. Make sure there is no document in the queue before you uninstall the drivers.

    If the problem persists, follow the steps mentioned below:

    Click the link for the Dell 964 printer drivers. Select operating system (OS) Vista. Once the operating system is selected as Vista, you will see an added option to run a cleaning/Patch Wizard to remove the old Dell printer software. Run the hotfix and restart the system. Make sure that the USB cable is not connected to the computer when uninstalling the printer drivers.

    I formatted my drive hard as I had windows errors 7 0n and found my C5280 everything works before I reinstalled windows and HP C5280 HP software software you Site.

    We moved our headquarters to a new location in the House. After you reconnect all devices, the printer seems to work (in his view).  Network test results "spent." When I opened a doc and tried to print, it would not, telling me printer was not in the network. Enter new password for ISP provider crossed wireless configuration. Still not printing.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer. Still will not print. I disabled Norton Internet Security where he was blocking the process.     I understand that you have moved your location of printers and it is not printing via wireless network.

    You mentioned that the print and Scan Doctor will not download, and this could be a problem on the computer or with the internet connection. Could try to use another web browser and try to download and run the printing and scanning Dr. again? I would like to know what are the results of the tool.

    Also, try to make copies of the front of the printer and let me know if they work, or if you see errors.

  • Photosmart HP5520: HP 5520 Photosmart All in One printer does not print


    I was away for a few weeks and when I got home that my HP 5520 would not print. Troubleshooting in devices and printers did not fix it. The full current confirmed printer HP S/W installation wizard and the drivers installed. The installation wizard produces a test analysis, but not a test print.

    Print and scan doctor also identities printer OK but cannot produce a test print, even if it did not produce a test INTERNAL page. Printing and scanning identified an issue with the S/W which "cannot be fixed without uninstalling and reinstalling" the software.

    Software reinstalled as suggested, but it has stalled on "checking network das" so reinstal is not completed properly I guess. Now, I seem to be less well off than I was before.

    I checked the print spooler and its running ok.

    I checked windows udates and they are all up to date

    I even tried restoring the system in desperation, but that has not changed anything either.

    I tried using just USB connect - no effect

    I have true wireless use only for connect - no effect

    I am running windows 10 on HP pavilion laptop.

    I'm running out of ideas on how I can print again, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    This is the solution, for me at least. I was convinced there had to be a solution of windows related to this, but despite several attempts, I could not get the answers so ultimately I reset the PC and it took about an hour, but when he did all broken back in life and has worked as before. Bit of a pain having to reinstall software but it was worth it.

    Most likely, you will need to re-run the installation of the network.

    Since you changed the encryption WPA2, the printer needs to know this!
