• Photosmart Premium 309 a won't print black

  My Photosmart Premium 309 a printer will not print black text. Just imagined colors.

  I tried new cartridges (twice - at great expense!) head cleaning, cleaning deep head, aligning the head and tried to soak the printhead in hot water several times now and then cleaning and deep cleaning again and then yet another new series of cartridges, still no black - not a pinch!

  Would it be a mistake to electrical connection with the contacts? Or is the print head itself a goner - seems such a simple plastic device, ok electronics in contacts can be more complex, but not much to go wrong.

  I don't think I have done something to damage the print head when the occurreed first problem, but with all the plug and put back and soaking in hot water (let dry naturally) I can't guarantee that it is not damaged because, although I was careful and everything seems ok.

  I am also puzzled as to where ink is going on because the black cartridges I used trying to solve this problem have certainly been empty but the ink is not reaching the paper - looks like the blooming thing could swim ink now but it seems pretty clean!

  Here are the steps to scan using the Image Capture on the computer.

  1. to begin, launch the Image Capture in the Applications folder on your hard drive.

  2. once the application is open, select go devices... in the devices menu. If your scanner is listed, select it and click the Use Twain UI button in the upper right pane.

  3. another opens and you can set a limited number of scanning options.

  4. click on the next button download for select the location on your hard drive for the scanned image or document.

  5. type a name for the saved file and select the image you want in the drop-down list beside format of Format. You have three options: JPEG, TIFF, PNG.

  6. change the settings if necessary, and then click Search

• How do I enter my Photosmart Premium 309 H apps?

  According to HP ePrintcenter FAQ I'm supposed to be able to download applications directly from the touchscreen on my printer 309 H (and not ePrintcenter) but I can not understand how to do this - I "touched" the options that appears on my touch screen and add applications or to access other than those which are preloaded applications will not be displayed.

  In addition, the ePrintcenter does not allow me to ADD my printer because it is a wireless model. All applications appear as 'available' on the site, but there is no connection with 'Add' or 'install' one of the applications. I can not locate any link on the page that says 'my applications' HELP?

  EPrint and printing apps are not supported on the Photosmart Premium C309H all-in.

  The list of models that support ePrint and Print Apps is included in one of the "sticky" posts that appear at the top of this forum.

  No model is a web connected printer, that is, they do not have their own dedicated ePrint email address.

  Welcome to the HP Support forum.

  I understand that you have a printer all-in-one HP Photosmart Premium that displays a "Remove USB Device. Message to USB device isn't compatible", even if you have not all connected USB devices. I would like to help with that.

  Sometimes of false errors like this can be solved by performing a power reset the printer.

  It is maybe a stupid question, if so, please excuse me.  I just bought the Photosmart Premium last week, and overall, I'm pretty happy with it.  However, I was looking at some other printers on the HP site and noticed that the Photosmart Premium is more listed as an available printer?  I thought it was a relatively new model and was very surprised to not see what it listed anymore.  If it is abandoned, it's a concern for me, as I would not have bought this model if I had known it was already on its way 'out'.

  I reinstalled the whole software after that I installed a new hard drive for my Dell Optiplex computer. No error during installation.  When I tried to open the Solution Center to analyze, I got a white screen.  Tried to restart. Same story.  Tried a partial uninstall of the solution Center.  Same story.  She said followed by using Windows Add/Remove uninstaller to complete installation.  Same story I have Win XP SP3.  It was working perfectly before this.  On my old desktop with HP all-in-one, I had to do a special uninstall I had to repeat several times.  Can't find it on the Web site.  Also, I saw a post on reinstall .net framework & other files, but it was for Win 7.  Help, please.

  The following instructions will rub the driver from the system. Don't forget to restart the computer after uninstalling.

  Of the Original installation CD:

  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. run the L4uninstall.bat

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  1. type % temp % in the field of race

• Cartridges for Photosmart HP 309 a

  For the purchase of cartridges for the HP 309 has, there is a black cartridge that is very big which is more economical than buying the smaller cartridge.  My question is: you can buy cartridges for printing color or you can buy the "combo pack color."  Here's my question, it would be more economical to purchase the combo pack or should I buy separate color cartridges?  If I buy the combo pack color and needs of a single color replacement what do I do?  Can I still use the color combo pack and just replace the color cartridge to be replaced or do I have to replace the whole color combo pack although only one color needs replacement?

  The black cartridge that comes with the combo pack is the Photo cartridge (the skinny black on the left side).  It is not compatible with the black text cartridge (that right).  You can replace the individual as cartridges they run out.  (Note that the cartridges need not be replaced at the first warning ink, you can continue printing until they show signs of deterioration of printing that can be 2 x or more pages of the first caveat).  See here for more information on the issue of Photo vs Black.  XL cartridges are usually the best value.  See here for some details on the product page for the different cartridge options.

• Errors of HP Photosmart Premium 309 a envelope

  I am trying to print on envelopes and I have both microsoft word envelopes the value #10 and the printer, the #10 value envelopes.  I have even the printer in landscape mode (since it seems properly)

  Nevertheless, the printer will feed the envelope to the starting position and gives me an error of loading paper.  I tried piles of envelopes, just a little, and only 1.

  What else could be the cause of this problem?  What is the solution?

  As it turns out, I'm working from home today and my wife has the same #10 envelopes you are using staples. I em gave it a try and I was able to reproduce the error you are getting - on paper... I think it has to do with the band that makes the rigid envelope adhesive strip. However, I was able to print correctly on these envelopes as follows.

  The first approach involved run my thumb nail along the edge of the envelope with the flap/fold in order to prevent it from sticking. I have always an error using this method, but after a minute or two, the envelope came out with a return and speech printed on it.

  The second approach is somewhat simpler and has been much faster to complete. I just turned 180 degrees envelope in the main paper tray. The envelope printed just like to lick and seal envelopes I used initially, less the fact that the opening of the envelope is now on the bottom.

  Please give both of these workarounds a try and reply back with your results.

• PhotoSmart Premium 309 a: wireless printer connection

  According to the configuration information, the computer is connected to the same network SSID as the printer but when the printer configuration wizard attempts to establish a wireless connection between them, an error comes up saying that they are connected to different networks.  A network address is 10.0.0.0 which seems to be OK, but the other is 176.0.0.0, which is the address of the Netgear router, rather than the network wirelessly with the specified SSID.  The router is the one providing network connections with the SSID specified by the computer and the printer, then why the connection does it not work?

  You can fill mode yourself.   You have the right to set up your device to your ISP gateway

  The best would be to uninstall and reinstall the software. Please use the steps below to perform an uninstall more complete.

  1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
  2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
  3. Download the software and choose Save as, save to desktop > PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_047 - 4.exe
  4. After downloading software and extracts, reopen the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
  5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
  6. Open the folder Util
     
  7. The CCC folder
  8. If you have a computer HP run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have annon HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
  9. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
  10. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.

  You can define a custom paper size.  Click Custom size, and then put it in any name or a name like '16 x 9', then choose the size appropriate.  Click the Broderless box if you want to print pictures of broderless.

  in fact I had to replace a new black ink cartridge to solve the problem.  Who would have thought a new cartridge would be bad.  Problem solved.

  Running Win 7-64 bit.  On my old XP printer there is software called Center of Solution that allowed me to view and save photos from a memory card from my camera to the PC.  I seem to be only able to load them on Snapfish on my new PC.  I installed the latest version of the software support. Thank you

  It should be labeled as HP Solution Center.  Look under all programs on the start menu.  From there, find the HP folder.  You should be able to find the Solution Center somewhere in the HP folder.
