  In order to help you, I'll need more information.

  • Do you see any error messages on the printer? Are you able to perform a self-test or a copy on the printer?
  • What version of Windows are you using? How to find the Windows Edition and the Version on your computer.
  • Have you tried another USB cable or port on the computer?

  I can recommend something suitable that you can use, once I know not what version of operating system you are using. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

  I see that you get a runtime error when trying to install your software, and you have recently reinstalled WIndows 7 64 on your PC. Please follow the steps below and let me know the result;

  1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
  2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
  3. Download the software and choose Save as, save to desktop > PS_AIO_07_B110_USW_Full_Win_enu_140_126.exe
  4. After downloading software and extracts, reopen the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
  5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
  6. Open the folder Util
     
  7. The CCC folder
  8. If you have a computer HP run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have an non HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
  9. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
  10. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.

  At least you know works wireless.  I don't have a book like that, but I like them, too!  They seem to be the perfect size to carry all.

When I print something - and I tried different programs - the document appears in the print queue, says it's printing, but nothing prints. If I restart my computer, the document will print until I connect. I tried stop the print spooler, but then couldn't do restart.  I looked at the printer using the HP Solution Center, and he says he's online.

  I have printed successfully to this printer wireless until I upgraded to 8.1.

  I have a HP Photosmart C4680 printer that appears in great shape.  It was given to me by a third party.  The two print cartridges and power cord are missing.  I have no idea if this printer will actually print.

  1. Assuming I can start her, is it possible to determine if it will print before you run out and spend the money on 2 new cartridges?
  2. Can I use a power cord to similar research?  I have one who comes from a different model of printer but seems similar.

  There is no way to determine if the printer print without cartridges from the printer. If the cord will work for the printer you use.

• Photosmart C4280 print queue do not; scanner works fine

  I had seizures with this ugly printer.  I had it on 2 yreas, and it is not worth to get a service.

  First of all, he gave me grief on the ink cartridges that had been installed and work for awhile, but have been used regularly.  Followed all of the suggestions until finally, I swapped the cartridges on even though I know that they were not empty and I managed to get one printed page (reluctantly - it took a lot of time) and now it won't print anything else.  It prints the test page for the printer (cancel, colour) very well.  I went through all the steps on aid newsletters - just as the path through reinstalled all the software after uninstalling, refreshed the memory of the printer, and al and nothing seems to help. It is clear enough, is to communicate, because I was able to scan successfully something a few minutes ago.  However, it does not print a test page for the utility.  It sends it, but nothing happens.  It will make the test page cleaning if there is nothing in the queue.  He has acted for a good while that way with our secondary machine in the other room (connected through a network Ethernet), but had never been a problem with the main machine, where it is connected via the front usb port.  Tried to print from indesign cs5.  I'm not on snow leopard - rather, I'm on OS 10.5.8.  Any suggestions?

• 2540: wireless printing: he says that he has but he does not!

• PhotoSmart HP 7520: HP7520 "offline" but works via EWS (and is connected to the router)

  The printer used to work, do not know why it stopped, but the problem occurred several months ago.

  HP7520 said it is connected to the network, same SSID, and the ip address is in the same range.  More importantly, I can print test pages and scan through the integrated Web server.  If the printer is on the same network as the netbook.

  Material used is a netbook from Toshiba Windows 7 (32 bit) / and an Asante (WEP2-Personal, WPS) router, internet Optimum/Cablevision.  Only security is the Windows Firewall, which I disabled it for the areas and home networks.  The network is defined on a home network.  NetBook, iPhone, Android, Roku all connect properly to the network.

  The properties list to the printer the printer as being associated with a Standard TCP/IP Port - IP in the same range as the printer.

  I rebooted everything several times, released and renewed the ip address, check the router manufacturer for the latest version of the firmware is installed, installed the HP Assistant troubleshooting, reinstalled printer drivers and the problem has not changed a bit.

  Any suggestions?  I have read several posts have reported similar problems, but have not found a solution.

• OfficeJet 4500 Wireless - MacBook it installs with USB, but can't find it on the network

  Help! I just bought a new MacBook (OS 10.6.4) and try to use the HP Officejet 4500 Wireless with it. I bought the printer a month or two ago and it has been implemented on my wireless (a Netgear - WNR2000 router) and works very well with my old iBook G4 and the Windows PC at home. My new MacBook is connected to the fine of the Internet, but when I went to use the printer, it seems to install ok, make settings IP etc. of the printer on the network, but it's not far past. He says that the printer is "unreachable" or some such nonsense and refuses to see it on the network. I tried both with and without the CD installation, and after you have uninstalled the software HP to uninstall and reinstall in the system of preferences--> Print and Fax settings. But he only sees the printer if I connect it with USB, which goes against the reason for which I bought it.

  I ran the software update and it has found a new version of the software to download to the printer when connected via USB. But there seems to be no way to convince him to find the printer on our network wireless

  Any ideas?

  Wow - I solved the problem. How ridiculous of a solution is that?

  I saw a mention on another Board need to have a SSID for the network of less than 6 characters/letters to get the Mac to work with some other printer/router configuration.

  So I tried here - since I had a network SSID of 7 letters.

  (1) I went in my screen to config the router and changed my SSID to one that was only four letters. I also took the static IP address for the printer, I had just set up (so for those of you watching at home, ignore my comment on this tactic, it was a herring!) leave the settings as they were before I ate with it.

  (2) I then restarted the router, the computer and the printer.

  (3) I first put in place the new SSID on Mac (change the SSID of the router to the old password only left, so it was just a matter of returning the password on Mac, when it entered into the 'new' network). I checked this by seeing in screen config the router if the Netgear now he showed in his list of connected devices (it wasn't before, and I was suspicious that he was some other weird problem, if the Mac has used the Internet very well). He did it!

  (4) then I used the front panel of the printer to go into Options--> Menu Wireless--> Setup Wizard and configure the printer again on the new name of the network SSID. Then I went to the Options--> Print the report--> Config network. It would therefore be to print a page giving the State of the connection confirming that it was the network.

  (5) then I went back for the Mac and use it again the screen of the router config I confirmed that now the printer was also showing up on top of the screen of connected devices (it wasn't before, now she and Mac have been listed!). Then I opened system--> print and fax preferences and tried to add the printer again. This time he finds immediately on the network (using the so-called Hello?), and since I already had the software update (using the steps suggested above) that she already had the correct printer software to use. Wireless printing fine now... After all this noise.

  So, apparently, PrintDoc, you need to add a small little by this spiel you gave me above - to install a printer wireless on a new Mac with a working wireless network (at least one with a Netgear WNR2000 router), the SSID of the network should really be only a couple of long letters (4A worked in this case but not 7). Why, I have no idea. Ridiculous, like I said.

  Follow these steps: on the machine Windows 7, download and run the Laserjet 1020 driver from here HP site.  When the installer comes to point of asking to connect through the USB port, and then click Cancel.

  Now go to the folder, devices and printers, add printer, a local printer, create a port, port Local, next, \\xpcomputer\printername (with the names of appropriate to share the printer and the computer XP sharing), then choose the Laserjet 1020.
