HP Photosmart C4780: HP Photosmart C4780 stop scanning
My printer is HP Photosmart C4780 allows to analyze, but has stopped scanning, but will print & copy.
I get the error mess "parse error. Try scan from computer or see the documentation. Press OK.
I checked the systems running and have revived the latter, which has been proposed for the same problem

You are connected via a USB cable or a wireless connection?
I recommend to remove printer ink cartridges and reset the power supply. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.
I suggest also download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor.

During the installation of MAC OS X 10.63, HP Photosmart CA4800 stopped scanning, I am on a limited income and I rely on this printer/scanner and cannot afford an upgrade, suggestions on how to make this work? I read most of the problems and the tags, but there must be a solution.

Printer - Photosmart 7510.
System: I'm on Windows 7 home premium 64-bit, I have Norton 360. Laptop is Acer Aspire.
Problem - Photosmart 7510 - scan is no longer to the PC.
Software won't uninstall (so I can ' t reinstall)
Connect the printer software installation impossible (he always recognizes the printer on the network)
Scanner not recognized. When I click on scan HP he says 7510 series unrecognized. If I click on manage scans devices/printers, nothing happens apart from hourglass.
I lived all the online help and scan doctor and spent 3 days on this. Nothing seems to fix it or repair.
The scanner, printer and copier what worked first implemented, including scanning to pc.
Now, everything works apart from scanning to PC.
A few days later the scanner to the computer stopped working and could not be recognized if clicked (for example to allow the scan to PC function). Scanner the doctor then tried to uninstall and reinstall the software. The basic device HP software won't uninstall, whether through the HP program or control panel. There after the reboot, even when supposedly uninstalled. I followed all the HP help topics and have tried drivers updated and installation of HP.com. My laptop was rebooted about 50 times in the last three days trying to get this resolved.
When I click on the printer defined upward and the software it prompts you to connect the new printer. It finds my 7510 (wireless), but says that it cannot install it.
I can't do windows system restore, because there is no set of restore points. I tried to disable firewall for connections and installation of the software.
Various error messages appear:
During the uninstallation using the control panel.
"Scan to PC Activation App" needs closing (I can only find in the tasks of process manager I then complete the process)
If I try to use the HP uninstall later said there is no uninstall HP.
I have the original CD.
Any ideas as to how my scan to PC to work again?
Maybe this isn't the case in your situation, however, security software (firewall/anti-anti-virus/malware) can cause endless problems, depending on their configuration. Norton 360 is an extremely invasive program, part of what makes it so effective. But, get the settings to allow access install/uninstall the devices through 360 can be complicated. My advice before you try anything else, would be to disable Norton 360 (gives you regular intervals) then try Solution 3 in the Windows 7 of this troubleshooting document installation section:
I have my Photosmart c4380 connected wireless to my iMac (under snow leopard). The last time I tried to scan controls on the printer, I got a message "USB or wireless not connected". I am able to print wireless from my computers and I use to be able to scan the controls on the printer, but no more. Probably not incidentally, Device Manager did something unusual - display a dialog box that talks about printer cartridge. Found. Settings, scan settings, scan to... Configuration, settings button, buttons search for the solution Center, manage shortcuts scan... and then create new shortcuts in the folder of your choice!

The HP solution Center, click on the settings icon.
Under the scanning settings, click on photo scanning settings.
Click Manage shortcuts Scan
Select the Scan used shortcut (e.g., file photo)
Click on Advanced settings of the image in the right pane.
The lower part of the window, select scanning of the whole scanning window and click OK.
Click on save shortcuts, and provide the name of the shortcut.
Now, to use the newly created shortcut that will not crop the scanned area.
After that our latest operating system updated, our HP Photosmart 6520 had scanning problems. Usually a reboot or as part of the scan on the HP computer would work. Today, I downloaded the latest driver in the hope that could solve the problem. Now the scanner is not recognize the computer, and I can't enable analysis of the it function with HP on my Mac utility. The print feature works very well. This message I see in the HP utility:
"The HP software required for the Scan of the computer could not be located on this computer. Please download and install the latest HP recommended software for your device to http://www.hp.com/supportand then try again. »
I searched HP website, but I can't find anything other than the driver I downloaded for Mac OS X 10.10.

I see that you have some difficulties now scans your Officejet Pro 8600 to your Windows 7 PC.
Please, try this and let me know the result.
- Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
- Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted

Instead of posting your question in the Feedback forum, where you post your feedback on the web site of Microsoft Answers, you should have posted in forum hardware and drivers, which is where I moved your post. Please return to your message, click on edit, change the Version of Windows, menu dropdown to indicate which version of Windows you are using, and then click on submit.
Frankly, you should talk to a repair shop, don't ask this question here. It seems that the internal mechanism in your Lexmark has failed.
My Officejet Pro 8500 has stopped scanning. The message window says it is not connected to the network.

I see that you have a problem with the wireless radio fails on your Officejet 8500. To inform you in this regard, if the radio has failed, it is not a replaceable part by customer, but I'll try to help you with the problem.
Start as a result of this document: printer does not maintain the wireless connection.
With this document, I would like to track:
(1) restore your default settings of network on the printer.
Go to setup (can be a wrench), network, and then restore the default settings of the network. After that the power on the printer.
(2) turn off the wireless radio.
Go to Configuration > network > wireless radio, you must have the option to turn it off.
(3) hard reset of the printer.
While the printer power cable for 30 seconds, while the cable is unplugged, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. It's draining the printer of all power. Reconnect the cable.
(4) turn on the wireless radio and reconnect.

If you have an Ethernet cable, you can set a wired network connection. Plug the Ethernet (cat5 cable) cable into the printer and the router. It will be assigned the printer a new IP, which means that you will need to add the printer to the computer. This will still allow the printer on the network and communicate with a wireless device.

My cn 1355 is on my home network. I have fine print, and have swept between her on the network to an application. The other day it stopped scanning. Nuance PaperPort (shipped with the printer) say now when running configuration Analyzer Wizard "no software not detected. Since the announcement, I saw another thread on the same topic. The printer is supplied with software PaperPort 12 and then the selection "analyze" the software reports "Scanner not found". There is a button on the bottom of the dialog box in PaperPort with 'Port '. I selected that, no changes, just accept the settings and then tried to scan again - and that market as before!

If HP is unable to repair it, nobody else can either. Buy yourself a cheap Canon scanner if they cannot make it work.
I have the latest version on the macbook and a Photosmart c4780 all-in-one printer. The printer part records on my computer and it will copy as well. However, it will not scan from the printer to my computer. When I go to the printer in the system settings, it recognizes the printer but not the scanner. I connected via USB. What could be the problem?
I guess you have Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) on your Mac? If you have loaded the HP from the CD software, and unless your CD says it supports in particular 10.6 Snow Leopard, you must uninstall it using the option "scrubber":
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish
Restart your Mac
Now run a software update.
Then, remove and reinstall the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.
You do not have the software now since Snow Leopard as well print & scan drivers built-in. scan from Preview apps or Image Capture. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.
I have recently switched to optical fiber for broadband connection. I reset my printer to the new IP address and the fact that it is connected. However I'm unable to scan. I followed the procedures to help so I tried unplugging my firewall (not quite sure how but I disabled my security temporarily) but he has not yet worked. I also tried double-clicking the desktop icon that is unresponsive. Help!

My next suggestion would be to uninstall the printer, restart the computer and reinstall.
1. uninstalling the software of the printer (I recommend the method of control panel to uninstall)
2. restart the computer to complete the uninstall
3 Click here to download the complete driver. Once the download is complete, installation will start and then follow the on-screen instructions until the printer is completely installed. I hope that eventually you will be able to open the printer from your desktop software and start a new search.
