HP Photosmart C4780 printer cartridge problem

The screen shows printer cartridge problem.  I cleaned the cartridge and it does not work so I replaced the cartridge with a new cartridge HP 60 and it still gives the same error print cartridge problem.  Help, please.

    I have a Photosmart C4780 printer which I am putting in place. It is connected and 'impression', even if nothing appears.  When I try to print the alignment page that nothing comes up except for 2 tiny small black lines the top of the page. Makes me think that the ink cartridges are not defective. When I tried to print the alignment page, looks like it's something printing, but nothing is there.  I tried troubleshooting and turn the printer off and on again to redo the alignment exercise.     Hi there, how old are the supplies you use? I'll assume that you have checked that the ink levels from the Panel before or through the printer software and its showing that there is little ink in the cartridges.  If the printer has been lying idle for awhile with the inserted cartridges they can become crust around the nozzles. You mention that you have tried troubleshooting, you run the automated tool to clean the cartridges? I included here a link to the document to support troubleshooting for print quality problems. Scroll down to step 6 of Solution 6 (just below the images in the print quality report) and follow the steps there. If this does not work, proceed to step 7 which explains how to clean the surface of the nozzle of the cartridges.

    I completed all the steps my 4780 contained in customer site HP, with the exception of "Avenue" that have no troubleshooting.  The message of screen printer one message I get is 'printer cartridge problem '.  How can I get the normal menu printer on the screen?  How the problem of the cartridge can be fixed?

    Well, I'm starting to feel like I knew better, buy another HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

    My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

    The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

    I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions help generic that I saw, but those who were without help.  The "Solution Center (Yes, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to buy more ink (!).

    Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I can't throw it out the window of HP.

    Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.

    I removed the cartridge and reinsert. Same message. Unplug the printer, then turn it off. When turned on again, the same message.

    Changed the black ink cartridge, got the message "Print Cartridge problem".

    Has released the new cartridge, put in the old.
    Did the same thing.
    Put the new one back in.
    This isn't print the test sheet to help align printing.

    (1) what a filled cartridge or a new cartridge?
    (2) who is the operating system installed on your computer?
    (3) did you change on your computer recently?

    This usually occurs because of three reasons-

    (a) if cartridge is defective.
    (b) the ink and toner levels are not suitable.
    (c) If fuser on the printer is broken.

    You can try to remove the cartridge and the seat of again.

    Method 1-

    You need to check the ink and toner levels cartridge.

    Tried to change ink cartridges, but they continue to fall.  Never a problem before. They snap, and then falling forward again. Tried to get the old empty ones and they did the same.  That they are really expensive, I can't go out and buy two others to try.  Not sure if the printer is broken or the cartridges. Help!

  • Photosmart C4780 - prints extra page even after update HP driver

    With the Mavericks (OS X 10.9.4) installed, I noticed that completed print jobs remain in the queue for my HP Photosmart C4780 Safari printing and preview.  If I want to print another (another page), I usually have to remove the previous work (100% full) of the queue so that the printer will print (I think remember that sometimes, with a Google Chrome browser, it is not necessary).  If I close the lid of my MacBook Pro (which goes to sleep) with a completed print job stays in queue HP, it will be then print again for a second time.

    Today, I installed the updated driver, but the problem has not disappeared when I tried to print from Safari and overview.

    You have an old HP software in your Applications folder, which was the Mavericks before OS?

    In the meantime, download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Restart your Mac.

    Reset the printing system:

    -Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
    -Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
    WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
    -Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

    The printer does not print. It turns on and can scan and all that, but when I try to print it fair shoots on a single page. I checked my drivers and ink, both are very good. I've done the Troubleshooting Wizard HP and it has never worked (I tried 3 times and he said that the event was canceled somehow).     I'm here to try to help you with the problem you are having with your Photosmart C4780 white pages print, and I hope we can solve it!

    I would like first of all for you to tell me if there are problems when you make copies, black and white copies and color.

    Try a power reset if you haven't already and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.

    Reset instructions:
    Press the power button to turn the product on.
    With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
    Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
    Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
    Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
    If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

    Also run Print and Scan your PC of Windows 8 doctor , chose the option "Print of difficulty" and let me know that say the results at the end try printing out in Notepad too and I would like to know if the page is empty, or print very well.

    Like many other people, I met an error of printer cartridge on my HP C4780. It occurred with a new color cartridge. I tried it out and it back to clean, it did not help. It will not print anything with her.

    When did you buy the cartridges?

    They are the new HP cartridges or revised cartridges?

    Ink cartridges have their own warranty and expiration on them. Please contact 800-HP-Invent, so they can assist with troubleshooting cartridges, and as long as they are still under warranty and have a problem, they can be replaced.
