HP Photosmart Premium c309a: get my laptop to connect to my HP Photosmart Premium c309a printer wireless

I have the installation of the printer to my wireless network and all is well with her, the wireless radio works fine on my printer as well.  I downloaded the driver to set up my printer wireless on my laptop that is running Windows 7. I also get far as he try to complete the installation on my laptop and then it tells me it failed, over and over again. I tried to restart my priner and my laptop always the same results.  It will not install my printer on my laptop using the wireless setting and there is nothing wrong with my wireless. How to operate, set up the printer on my wireless laptop.  Now when I click on it to install it, and he's looking for the printer it is estimated, becomes simply not passed to install it when I select the printer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

  • I'm fed up! Takes FOREVER to get my laptop to connect to WIFI!

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 running windows 7 64-bit.

This is a problem since I bought the laptop.

When I say that it takes forever to pick up the wifi signal, I mean literally 3 minutes (more or less).  This amount of time seems excessive for the amount of money this cost computer.  It does not take anyone else is long for computer laptop/iPad/etc at all to connect to the wifi.

Sometimes it get the signal automatically, sometimes I have to find the signal, then click 'connect'

This is very frustrating, I have go back and forth between school, home #1 and House #2.  Whenever I go out the laptop, I watch for a few minutes while it furiously attempts a connection.  What gives?

Please don't tell me that it's just the way it is.  For $2,000 + I think that HP could handle a device that connects to the internet quickly and easily.

I suggest to uninstall the card Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN and then restart.

  • How can I get my laptop automatically connects to a bluetooth at startup device

I have a music receiver Belkin Bluetooth that I connect to with my laptop (so I can read computer music files on my stereo). My problem is that I have to go through a time consuming series of steps each time my computer restart. I would like to find a way to automate this process (for example a batch file that runs at startup).

Currently, what I have to do is:
1 double-click on the Bluetooth icon in the system tray.
    2. double-click on the icon for this device (in this case, it is called 'Belkin VI').
    3. wait (this is the part that I find really annoying).
    4. when it appears, click the button to connect.
I don't know how to set up my Bluetooth to run at startup, but makes me only to the first window. Ideally I'd like a cmdlet / I can run with parameters that indicate the device from Belkin.
    Am I asking too much?

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309g suddenly stops printing wireless

I recently bought this printer. I've set up to print wireless. I installed and uninstalled twice b/c after about three times wireless printing, it stops wireless printing. Here is the order of events.

    (1) install the software according to the instructions

    (2) test page wireless printing, that always works

    (3) other printing things the same day wireless (works fine)

    (4) try to print something wireless as 2-3 days later

    (5) it does not. Get message of the staing HP Solution Center which is obvious: Document cannot print (duh). Through troubleshooting (Windows help). It tells me to make sure that it is the default printer (it is) and then check if it is online. It is usually not. So I choose to do the printer online (which is a sub-question, and I'm sure is related to the problem, why it keeps automatically be disconnected?)

    (6) attempt to print

    (7) message appears saying that HP Photosmart C309g-m offline (Solution Center)

    (8) read troubleshooting tips (HP Solution Center), which tells me to connect via USB to print (which annoys me because there is no available solution that tells you how to restore a wireless communication between the router/computer/printer)

    (9) which I did the first time around, but find that when I connect using the USB, it prints well. Any attempt to return to wireless printing is reflected in steps 7 and 8

    (10) check the connection of the application printer wireless network printing. Indicates that the printer is properly connected wireless. I know that my laptop is on the same network b/c that's the only one I have and my internet connection is not interrupted somehow.

    (11) get frustrated, uninstall and reinstall the printer

    Repeat step 2.

This has happened twice already, and I bought it so that I COULD print wireless. He must be troublemaker solution Quen uninstall then reinstall the printer each time that happens (up to once a week).

I have a laptop computer, a printer and a wireless router.

have a Belkin g MIMO Wireless router

    I own a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop

I have a HP Photosmart Premium C309g (bought less than 2 weeks ago)

I do not turn off the router or printer. Rarely I have turn off the laptop. Reset the router in the past has not helped. Turning and on the printer or the laptop in the past has not helped.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) how to prevent printing to offline on my laptop

    (2) how to restore communiucation between the printer and the laptop computer on the wireless network?

    (3) how do I keep the communication between the computer laptop and printer (and I assume that the router) to go Bye Bye?

    Thank you

About what you suggest, the IP address remained the same throughout the facilities and absorption.

However, I have thought of it. I guess that the wireless connection on the printer. I went back to the office and looked at my network settings. I needed to "find" my wireless signal. The first time that I've refreshed my wireless name does not show upward. I refreshed again and POOF! He was there! So I chose and put in my password (I think that his WPA encryption). When he finished the wireless network connection, it is printed on a network status page. Given that I printed this page so many times already I happened to have an old on my desk. I noticed that the IP address is the same (although today, I uninstalled and reinstalled again) on both forms. Anyway, when I returned to my computer (which is in my living room) HP Help Center had a giant green check mark on it and said that the printer is connected. Then I printed something and it worked! YAY! It would be great if HP put in information on the way to reconnect wireless when you get this message "the printer is not connected. Who knows maybe I needed to evacuate to understand! Laughing out loud

So for everyone out there, if this happens to you:

    1) go to your printer

    (2) select the arrow to see the next menu. (it should be on the right side of the LCD screen, it looks like a triangle on the side)

    (3) select Setup--> network--> network wireless assistant

    (4) the printer will start to search for wireless networks

    (5) choose your network (or the network you are using...  It should be the same as your computer/laptop is on)

    (6) if it is password protected, enter the password/password

    (7) your printer will print a network status page.

    (8) your computer should "recognize" the printer on the network itself. Your HP help window can display a large green check mark (it's a good thing!)

    (9) print what you want!

    * Note I guess that you may need to do this each time the printer goes into sleep mode. Its not that boring!

  • Extremely slow printing wireless with HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m

I see extremely slow print speeds when printing from a Mac or a Windows XP system on a new printer HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m wireless. The printer starts printing immediately when I request a print, but it only prints one line. It will take about 15 minutes then to print the rest of the page, each print after a very long break line. Print demo page doesn't exhibit this problem, only documents of programs such as Word 2008, Safari, and Firefox (I tried firefox on PC and Mac) are affected.

If I connect to the printer via a USB connection it prints very well, so this problem seems to be the only wireless printing.

    Printer: HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m
Computer: Mac mini (late 2009 model) (also tried a Windows XP laptop, by comparison using the latest drivers from the HP website)
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.2 with all available updates installed
Method of connection: cable Ethernet connection to the router wireless
Printer drivers: version 2.2.1 (Apple provided, drivers HP never installed as system comes with 10.6)
Wireless router: Apple TimeCapsule (early 2009) 1 TB, honing a/d and modes of b/g on 2.4 and 5 GHz. TimeCapsule is in transition as the DSL modem handles DHCP service mode
Encryption: WPA2 Personal, no MAC filtering or hide the SSID.

IP addressing scheme: all addresses are distributed by the server DHCP without reservation of any kind

The TimeCapsule is sitting three inches from the printer and the printer indicates the complete signal. Connecting the printer to the wireless network and setup of the printer on the Mac went off without a hitch. Only when you print a test document discover us the problem. The wireless network will behave as expected when you access Internet from Mac and Windows devices (tested with a laptop computer Dell XP and a MacBook with OS X 10.6.2), so I don't see any problem with the wireless network together.

    Attempt to use:
1 reboot and power off, wait, restart the computer
2 reset the print subsystem, the printer off and on again and reinstall the printer

    3. disconnect the power to the printer and let it sit for several minutes before trying to print wireless.

    None of them worked.

I don't know exactly what is happening... I'll have to think about.

Looks like you're running with the current configuration.

    Can we call this resolved?

  • Impossible to get Vista Home laptop to connect wirelessly to C6380 printer

    Hello

I bought a Photosmart C6380 and I think it is an easy task to connect to this printer boy I was wrong! I have been successfully connect this ptinter to my ASUS router/switch and could print from my XP Home Office, this computer is connected to the router with CAT5e cable. What I can't do is get this same configuration on my laptop VISTA home. I'm sure that the laptop is connected to my network (pourrait borwse the internet, was ping my office) but I couldn't ping the IP address of the printer C6380. It is not surprising that the HP software provided has not found all devices configured on the network.

What I have tried is the following:

    1. I could ping the IP of my laptop VISTA Home from my office and I could also ping the IP address of the printer and printing is successful.

    2. I could ping the IP address of my desktop XP Home from my laptop VISTA Home, but from here, I could not ping the printer.

3 disabled the firewall on the VISTA laptop, I still could not ping the printer (Destination unreachable)

    4. updating to version 12 of the HP software and did all the updates from HP. Tried to find the printer, as before, the HP software could not see device at all. Ping the IP address of the printer came with the same results.

5 disabled IPv6 on VISTA NIC, Ping the printer, the same results - inaccessible destination.

I think I did everything what a sane person would not to analyze this problem without resorting to trace on the network packets. Is there something else I could try - something I've missed here? I'm not accusing VISTA Home right now! Looking at this forum, there seems to be a lot of problems related to wireless to VISTA - is that correct? (This may be down to the chipset wireless laptop?)

    Kind regards

    Chris W

    Hi there is WiFi Guy,

Trying to navigate between the parameters of 'isolation of user' in the wireless configuration, I noticed that for some reason any which parameters would remain unchanged or registered. I tried different settings, and there is no change at all! I did not understand why it is thought that there is an error with the wireless router. So I tried firmware updates (but none is available from ASUS) and even considered going with the OpenWrt firmare. But before we go down that road it dawned on me that the update of the page could be due TSE incompatible browser. Then I opened to the top of old trust Microsoft IE, instead of Google Chrome that I used to try to change the settings, down-and-here's the wireless settings page is not what I saw in Google Chrome! "4 X" and is therefore "user isolation. So i unchecked 'isolation of user,' the settings saved and restarted the router's wireless service. Now I can ping other wifi devices even the printer to my wireless laptop!

Tried my luck, installed the software provided HP and now the SW can detect the printer on the wireless network. Yes!

So it is a lession: somethimes it's the room the less obvious technology that you take for granted is in fault and nothing complicated at all!

    Thanks for your help!

  • HP Photosmart c309a network wireless radio does not. printer no longer sees (network)

My Photosmart c309a printer is not ALL networks.

    -using the windows Vista

-four portable wireless maintain excellent connections to the home network

    -a the recent failure of electricity, but all computers domestic mobile re-login to the network;

    -a ran HP wireless network Test Report which shows wireless "On", but "The FAILURE" of wireless work;

-diagnostic report also shows wireless radio does not. and I have to contact HP support.

So far, I took the following measures:

-stop the entire network (Linksys router)

-unplugged and replugged the printer and router

    -set factory default printer

-all I can think (but go ballistic)

I have a similar problem, except that my 309 a link but if it is idle for a few moments he log out and have to stop and reconnected or reset using the configuration menu.  Contact with HP said that HP is aware of the problem but that he has no intention to post a fix and the problem is inherent in most of their printers...  Techrep indicated that the best solution to get a new printer.  I recently bought a Canon all-in-one and it works as advertised.  I always use my HP in a wireless mode, but you need to restart after each impression if more that a few short minutes between printing.  Sorry I'm no help, but just passing on what HP says about this printer.

  • Wireless laptop cannot connect to Photosmart C5180 printer on network

I recently got a new computer, which is the main connection to our home network.  We have a laptop and a Photosmart C5180 printer.  I can't get the wireless laptop to connect to the printer, even though I have the shared printer on the pc.  I have the printer connected to the pc via a USB cable.

I see the printer shared and available on the laptop, but get the error message when you try to print.

Does anyone know what I'm missing that will allow me to print from wireless laptop?  It worked until I'm the new pc, so I know I'm missing something.  Should the laptop have both installed printer software/drivers?

Yes, the printer directly connected to a router with an Ethernet cable will be the simplest solution.

Yes, all computers will be able to access the printer on the network as long as they are connected to the same router (Ethernet or wireless, regardless).

He shared from the computer and the printer connected to a computer with a USB cable are not a real printer on a network.  This creates what is essentially a print server and the computer with the USB connection manages the interaction of this printer with all the devices on the network.

A USB connected printer sharing can be done, but it's a lot more work that the printer is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.

It's really a lot more work to set up the printer with a printer shared over a network connection USB method true when it comes to do this with Windows 7.

Windows XP made it incredibly simple, but he was not very secure on a network.  With Windows XP, all you had to do was to share the printer, and then install it on another computer.

With Windows 7 on both computers, you must configure a homegroup, enable file sharing and printers (disabled by default), share the printer and install the printer on the computer client / remote.  In addition, this method will require the host to be on anytime for remote printing machines.

The printer is connected to the router with a Ethernet means that the functionality of the printer depends solely on the router being on (most are on 24/7).  Computers will print regardless of the other computer either on or off.  There should be a shorter time in the impression that a computer is responsible for printing rather than two computers.

Again, I will be more than happy to help you set up with the method USB shared with two Windows 7 computers if that's what you want.  You find that it is much easier to use the Ethernet connected method to be simpler and more efficient to print well.

If you want, here's a little more information from Microsoft on sharing a printer between two units of Windows 7.

    Setting up a homegroup

Activate the file & printer sharingand sharing the printer on a Windows 7 computer

As long as the printer & file sharing is enabled and two Windows 7 computers are in the same group of residential, you should be able to use the USB share method.  Without these two two options being Setup, it simply does not work with two Windows 7 systems.
