  I moved house a couple of months and had to reset my printer to the new ip address.  My printer now works well but when I press the scan button, a message pops up saying 'not found computer, ensure that the HP software has been installed on your computer.

  Unfortunately, you have the older version. Looks like the buit - in Bluetooth is not happy with android. It coucd be an android version installed in the tab.  Chances of firmware updated with a printer this old are almost nil.

  You are probably connected to the printer via a USB cable, in which case the fact that the PC is in a domain is absolutely no impact on the problem.

  If the printer works on a PC but fails on another PC, the PC is a failure on a a driver problem.

  So I would recommend downloading the latest driver from hp.com, remove the existing driver, and then install the driver newly downloaded.

  In case someone else has a similar problem:

  I have found another document that deals of the printer does not print in Windows 8 and is listed as "unknown" or "not specified" or appears with a yellow Triangle on the devices and printers folder.  This document has several steps that resolve the problem you are having like so many others.

  I'm a little confused abouut your problem. you try to RUN the software and complete functionality to your direct printer from the Hp Web site? If so, Hp does not recommend this process.

  Better to save full feature software and driver first before installing because by clicking RUN directly connected to the internet, you will have a problem to install - some will get instaalation error-corrupted files.

  Pls. click the download button and save it to your desktop.

  Also, before you install it, also try a different USB port on the computer, disable any third-party software on your computer like antivirus, firewalls and spyware because it could block some of the drivers for your printer specifically for scanning. Re-enale the protection again after installation.

  If still not detected, you can try inserting a USB stick to the USB port on your computer. If it works, doesn't mean no problem with the USB PORT.

  TRY THIS ONE, if you are using windows, go to device manager look for the USB if you have a yellow caution icon trhat brand-right click and select put updated driver or select Properties, and then click Properties window simply select Update driver - let windows search the driver online.

  Then try to reinstall, if not solved try this one:

  1. Click Start and then click run . The run dialog box opens.

I have 2 yellow exclamation marks in my device manager telling me that something is wrong, but I can't seem to understand this one.

  I'd appreciate any help I can get with this problem because it is quite frustrating. Thank you in advance...

  What are the two! brand? You can post a screenshot in the forum...

  If you have a composite USB drive listed in Device Manager... I suggest you uninstall from Device Manager and choose search for the hardware changes...

  Step 2 - connect the USB, reboot and press F12 on dell logo, check if the PC detects the drive cruzer...

  Also check if the LED on the drive flashes once you connect... How about other USB ports?

  Step 3: Does show in disk management (right click on computer > Manage > disk management)-it appears in disk management, just assign a drive letter. Right-click on the cruzer drive - drive letter--> Add--> choose a drive letter... OK OK... Check if you can see the drive in my computer...

  Step 4: If none of the USB ports work...

  -Install the software of the system Dell- http://downloads.dell.com/utility/DSS_UTIL_WIN_R260746.EXE

  1. install the driver Chipset - http://downloads.dell.com/chipset/R242805.exe
